Lucien was perfectly calm. No one would guess that the elegant and refined woman standing before him was the true mastermind behind the Monster Association.
She had created the Monster King Orochi and secretly controlled the association's strategist, Evil Eye.
The mirror in front of Lucien lted on its own, turning into liquid that slid away without a sound. He stepped sideways into the room as if he had always belonged there.
"How did you find ?"
Sykos forced herself to remain composed, though her slightly pursed red lips betrayed her tension.
The fact that he stood here ant one thing, he had co for her.
Lucien gave no answer. He simply observed her, his gaze cold, carrying a trace of disappointnt.
Judging from her aura, she was weaker than Orochi, barely reaching the peak of Dragon-level.
Still, she was undeniably beautiful.
Lucien began calculating his next move. After watching Saitama for a long ti, he had confird sothing troubling. Saitama could survive in space for an absurd amount of ti, possibly months, maybe even years.
Food and water, however, remained uncertain. A normal human would die after a few days without water or a week without food, but Saitama was far from normal.
When the Earth eventually exploded, Lucien needed to be ready.
Boros, who had yet to arrive, would serve as stored food. More importantly, that spaceship would be extrely useful.
That was also why Lucien had not yet acted against the S-Class heroes. To him, they were reserves, blood supplies.
He no longer needed normal food to survive, but consuming blood allowed him to maintain his strength. It was a simple truth, as long as there was blood, he would continue living.
Everything was preparation for a prolonged battle against Saitama.
"Don't move."
Lucien raised a finger.
Just as Sykos tried to activate her psychic powers, her body froze completely. Terror filled her eyes as she lost all control.
She could only watch as his finger slowly pressed against her forehead.
Minutes passed.
When it was over, Sykos was no longer human.
She had beco a demon under Lucien's control.
"Rebuild the Monster Association. I need a large number of monsters."
"Yes."
Lucien vanished imdiately after giving the order.
Sykos returned underground and began reorganizing everything through Evil Eye, gathering scattered monsters and rebuilding the association.
But all of it had a single purpose.
Food.
After handling Sykos, Lucien turned his attention to the Hero Association.
He forced the association's director to summon every S-Class and A-Class hero, using whatever excuse was necessary.
Within three days, every one of them had been turned into demons.
Under his command, they expanded further, converting B-Class and C-Class heroes as well.
The numbers grew rapidly.
The more, the better.
Soon, both the Hero Association and the Monster Association developed side by side, thriving in silence.
Now, all that remained was to wait for Boros.
Overnight, the world changed.
The Monster Association was reborn, no longer committing senseless destruction.
The heroes continued their daily lives as if nothing had happened.
Only a few unfortunate beings noticed the difference.
Independent monsters like the Forest King, Subterranean King, Sky King, Ancient King, and Underworld King were hunted down, overwheld, and assimilated.
They all beca part of Lucien's growing army.
"Another peaceful day."
Sunlight poured over the city.
Saitama stood on his balcony, brushing his teeth, staring lazily into the distance. Over the past few days, monsters had nearly vanished. Even the news had gone quiet.
To ordinary people, it felt like paradise.
They had no idea this was just the silence before total destruction.
When Boros arrived, the Earth would et its end.
Knock, knock.
Mosquito Girl stood outside Lucien's door after preparing breakfast.
"Boss, breakfast is ready."
Lucien opened the door, still in his pajamas, yawning slightly as he nodded.
As he walked toward the bathroom, his clothes shifted on their own, transforming into a simple T-shirt and beach shorts. The material adapted at his will, forming different outfits effortlessly.
Everything he wore now was part of Hoz, making life incredibly convenient.
Ten minutes later, the four of them sat together, eating seafood porridge while a news channel murmured in the background.
"So boring. Why does it feel like all the monsters disappeared? I can't even find weak ones anymore."
Saitama gulped down two bowls and held out his bowl again for more, clearly dissatisfied.
"Isn't peace a good thing?"
Lucien ate calmly, savoring the flavor.
"If there are no monsters, how can I be a hero?"
Saitama frowned slightly, his usual blank expression now tinged with confusion.
"If there are no monsters, then you'll have to get a job."
Lucien handed his empty bowl back to Mosquito Girl and watched Saitama carefully.
The more lost he beca, the better.
Perhaps, in ti, it would weaken him.
The days that followed were dull.
Occasionally, a stray monster would appear, but they were quickly eliminated by the associations before Saitama even noticed.
Since he had not officially joined the Hero Association, he relied entirely on news reports, leaving him constantly out of the loop.
A month passed.
Saitama had done nothing.
Now, he spent most of his ti lying around, eating and staring at the television like a lifeless fish.
Sotis he would head out full of hope, searching for monsters to fight, only to return disappointed, his expression empty and drained.
Lucien, on the other hand, was constantly busy.
His strength continued to grow, and he trained relentlessly. At night, he either ditated or worked on developing his Soul Fruit abilities.
Mosquito Girl and Beast King had settled into a quiet dostic routine.
They spent their days shopping, cooking, cleaning, and bingeing shows or browsing gossip online.
Beast King had even started an online relationship, one that seed close to becoming sothing real.
It was a strange reminder that you never truly knew who was behind a screen.
Another bright day arrived.
Lucien was training in the small park downstairs when he suddenly stopped.
He lifted his head and looked toward the clear sky.
"They're finally here."
The ground beneath him shattered as he shot upward, transforming into a streak of golden-white light that pierced the sky.
Far beyond Earth, in the vacuum of space, a massive spaceship appeared near the remains of the moon through a spatial jump.
The ship was enormous, equipped with advanced living systems, housing alien beings that resembled monsters.
Inside the control room, several figures stood before a wide viewing panel, staring at the blue planet ahead.
"Coordinates reached. Preparing planetary entry."
"Wait, sothing's wrong."
"That's impossible. In space..."
lzargard, a five-headed alien capable of manipulating his own cells, froze in shock.
Groribas, a creature resembling a carnivorous plant, and Geryuganshoop, an octopus-like alien, reacted the sa way.
All three were Boros's strongest warriors, each possessing Dragon-level power.
Yet now, they stood stunned.
Outside the spaceship, a lone figure floated in the void.
Lucien.
He had appeared without warning.
Deep within the ship, in a vast chamber, Boros sat upon his throne, clad in armor that restrained his power.
His single eye opened.
"A worthy opponent."
The sound of tal echoed as he rose to his feet.
After twenty years of travel, he had finally arrived.
