As it was gripped by a terror it had never experienced before, Loki stopped and looked at it.
"Have you given up?"
He glanced at the terrain behind the squad leader, which offered no cover. No wonder it wasn’t trying to escape. Running was pointless in this open area.
"Then let’s begin."
Loki flicked his fingers lightly, and a small fla appeared on his fingertip.
The snake-headed squad leader was stunned. ’Nen... he’s turning Nen into flas?’ ’How is that possible?’

There were far more Chira Ants than Loki had anticipated. He’d already encountered several squad leaders who hadn’t appeared in the original story. There were even more troop commanders and ordinary Chira Ant soldiers.
While checking the system, Loki appeared to be lost in thought.
At that mont, high in a nearby tree...
’That human is strong.’ ’He can defeat squad leaders so easily!’ ’I never imagined soone like that existed among humans.’
As the Chira Ant hid in the tree, watching Loki, Loki suddenly turned and walked towards him.

The Chira Ant hiding in the tree was leoron, the chaleon squad leader.
He had regained his human mories and developed his Nen ability: God’s Alibi.
It allowed him to beco invisible, undetectable even by En. He shouldn’t be able to be found.
But Loki was walking directly towards him.
Suddenly, Loki’s aura exploded, engulfing the surrounding area within a hundred ters.
"Nothing," Loki said softly, sounding puzzled.
He had clearly sensed sothing watching him.
The one watching him possessed a power that concealed their aura.
Whoever was watching him was not weak.
But Loki’s En hadn’t detected anything.
In this forest, with limited visibility, a hundred ters was probably the limit for tracking and surveillance.
Loki stood beneath the tree where leoron was hiding.
His instincts told him the other was nearby.
Loki was sensing leoron through an ability he’d extracted from Tsunayoshi Sawada:
’Hyper-Intuition!’

It was a combination of Hyper-Intuition and an ability that Loki himself had overlooked, giving him an almost preternatural sense of awareness.

Loki hadn’t consciously realized he possessed this ability, but it had always been there, and in combination with Hyper-Intuition, it gave him an almost freakish ability to sense people and things.
Loki looked around.
"I definitely sensed sothing, but there’s nothing there..."
Although Loki spoke softly, leoron’s face turned pale.
He had activated God’s Alibi.
He shouldn’t be detectable.
But Loki clearly sensed his presence.
’Impossible! I’ve already activated my ability. How can he still sense ?’
Before, he had only been impressed by Loki’s strength.
Now, leoron was starting to feel fear.
To be able to sense soone even with God’s Alibi active...

leoron stared in disbelief at Loki, who was looking directly at him.
’Damn it! He even sensed my movent!’ Perhaps staying put would have been the better choice.
leoron hadn’t expected to be discovered while using his ability.

Loki looked in leoron’s direction, although he couldn’t see the invisible Chira Ant.

Loki smiled. "Looks like you want to play hide-and-seek! Then I’ll force you to reveal yourself!"
Loki vanished.
He moved so fast that leoron saw only a blur.
Then, he felt a sudden chill on his legs.
"Zero Point Breakthrough: Revised."
Crackle! The sound of ice forming echoed through the air.
leoron looked down.
The Nen around his legs had been frozen.
God’s Alibi deactivated.
He finally appeared before Loki.
Loki looked at him, his eyes widening slightly.
"So it’s you!"
Loki recognized the ugly Chira Ant as the chaleon from the original story.
He rembered his abilities: invisibility, God’s Alibi, and
God’s Alibi.
His combination with Knuckle’s ability made them nearly invincible.
Of course, that was only if Knuckle hit the target and they left quickly, never engaging in prolonged combat.
