On the fifth floor, Loki sat on the stairs. He subtly tilted his head as a bullet grazed his cheek, embedding itself in the stairs behind him.
Loki turned towards the shooter. A man in black, wearing sunglasses, was lying on the roof with a rifle.
"Good spot," Loki comnted. From Loki’s angle, only the rifle barrel was visible.
"Did you hit him?"
"No! That kid dodged it instantly!"
"He dodged a rifle bullet? That monster is beyond our capabilities. Let’s go!"
Loki raised his hand towards the sniper, a Nen bullet—the size of a marble—forming at his fingertip.
"Since you ca, don’t leave." With a flick of his finger, the red Nen bullet shot out.
Bang! It pierced the thick wall and the sniper’s head.
"Hey! Are you okay?!" His companion contacted him through the earpiece, but the sniper was already dead on the roof, blood gushing out.
"Hey! No response! No way!"
"He’s dead?"
Suddenly, the speaker felt a chill in the air. He raised his binoculars towards Loki. Loki was smiling at him.
’He saw ? Impossible. From this distance...’ Loki raised his hand; another Nen bullet appeared.
A red light flashed—like a shooting star—and bang! It pierced the man’s head.
Loki lowered his hand, killing two with ease.
"Idiots! Why would soone who just learned Nen try to kill ?" He felt underestimated.
A sudden gust of wind hit him. Loki closed his eyes; his hair blew in the wind. When the wind stopped, fifteen people stood before him.
Loki smiled. "Finally, so decent opponents."
Benny frowned, staring at Loki. He looked less like an S-Class criminal and more like a harmless kid. But Benny had seen many criminals.
"Kid!" Benny’s deep voice bood. He stepped forward. "Just you?"
"Liar. You have accomplices nearby."
Benny glanced around. "There’s another set of footprints. Keep an eye out."
His n imdiately took strategic positions to prevent Loki’s escape while monitoring the surroundings. They were a well-coordinated team.
"Relax. I have a companion, but she won’t interfere. She’s not playing this ga."
"I don’t believe criminals," Benny said, staring at Loki.
"Heh. Ready to fight?" Loki asked.
"Arrogant brat. You’ll regret this."
Loki brushed dust off his cloak. Red Nen flowed from him.
"Let’s begin!"
Loki’s words angered Benny.
"Kid, don’t think your building-destroying ability will scare ," Benny sneered.
"Heh. That only scares beginners. That technique takes a long ti to prepare, right? You won’t have ti to use it against us."
Benny’s voice echoed in the quiet building. Others searching for Loki heard the commotion and rushed towards them.
They were incredibly fast. Within seconds, more than a dozen arrived. People appeared on the upper floors of nearby buildings.
Loki looked around. "Quite a crowd!"
"This kid’s my prey. Don’t interfere," Benny told the others.
"Since you found him first, you go first, Destruction Cannon Benny!" soone shouted.
Hearing "Destruction Cannon," so people stared at Benny.
"Destruction Cannon Benny! No wonder that guy gave up so easily."
"Destruction Cannon’s here! He never misses."
"If even Destruction Cannon’s here, he must be sure he can catch the kid."
Loki scratched his ear. "Still not attacking? I’ll make a move."
Boom boom! Benny snorted, Nen erupting from his feet like a grenade explosion. His massive body shot towards Loki, leaving afterimages.
Loki raised an eyebrow, looking at the small crater where Benny had stood. Benny’s speed was decent.
"You won’t even have ti to breathe fighting . I’m an Enhancent-type Nen user. You have more potential power than , but you won’t have ti to use it in a fight."
Benny smiled, his massive fist heading towards Loki’s head. Before coming, Benny had researched Loki’s abilities.
That terrifying technique required specific conditions and a long preparation ti. It couldn’t be used anyti, anywhere. Loki was dangerous, but with a good plan, he wouldn’t be a match for Benny.
Benny’s n smiled. ’The boss is a top Enhancent-type Nen user. One-on-one, the kid might have a chance, but with our help, the boss will suppress him, and the fight is over.’
’Powerful abilities often have strict conditions. That kid won’t be able to use his ability today.’
Others saw Benny’s speed and Nen eruption.
"So fast!"
