The ruins still smoldered.

The bodies of the Hidden Order’s warriors lay scattered across the battlefield, abyssal mist curling around them like silent mourners. The air was thick with the scent of burnt stone and blood. The night had been swallowed by the Abyss, leaving only a dim, eerie glow flickering through the mist.

Sai stood at the center of it all, his breath heavy, his body aching from the wounds he had taken. **The battle was won.** But there was no feeling of victory—only a cold weight settling in his chest.

Because this wasn’t over.

**It had barely begun.**

Ezren stood beside him, golden abyssal eyes watching him carefully. "You hesitated."

Sai didn’t answer right away. His fingers curled around the hilt of his dagger, still slick with abyssal blood. **Ezren was right.** He had hesitated—**not because he was afraid, but because he had made a choice.**

He hadn’t let the Abyss **consu him.**

And yet, sothing told him that choice **wouldn’t always be so simple.**

Lena let out a sharp breath, rolling her shoulders. "Well. That was a nightmare."

Neris, still wiping blood from her blade, chuckled darkly. "What did you expect? You don’t start a war and walk away without consequences."

Garrik, the forr soldier, adjusted the crude abyssal prosthetic that replaced his missing arm. "They’ll co back stronger."

Sai **knew that.**

The Hidden Order had lost a battle—but they wouldn’t lose the war. They would regroup. They would retaliate.

And the next ti?

They wouldn’t hold back.

---

### **What Cos Next**

Sai turned to Ezren. "How much ti do we have?"

Ezren’s gaze flickered toward the distant abyssal mist. "Not long."

Lena groaned. "Of course not."

Kael, the silent warrior, wiped his blade clean. "Then we move first."

Sai exhaled. **That was the only option.**

They couldn’t afford to wait.

The Hidden Order had spent **centuries** ensuring the Abyss never rose again.

Now, they knew **Sai had broken that balance.**

The next ti they ca, it wouldn’t be just an **assassination squad.**

It would be **an army.**

Sai clenched his jaw. **They had to be ready.**

But ready for what?

---

### **The Abyss Responds**

Sai’s system flickered to life.

**[Abyssal Forces Assembled: 20%]**

**[New Directive Unlocked: Seize Control of the Abyssal Gate]**

Sai’s stomach tightened. **The Abyss itself was moving.**

The war wasn’t just against the Hidden Order anymore.

There was another power at play.

"The Abyssal Gate," Sai murmured.

Ezren nodded. "It’s ti you see it for yourself."

Lena frowned. "And what exactly is the Abyssal Gate?"

Ezren exhaled. "The last remnant of what the Abyssal Kingdom once was. The gateway between the Abyss and the outside world."

Sai’s fingers tightened. **The gate that had been sealed for centuries.**

The gate that—if opened—**could change everything.**

---

### **The Journey to the Gate**

They didn’t waste ti.

With the remnants of the Abyssal Order at their backs, Sai led his growing army through the shattered ruins, the mist growing thicker as they approached their next destination.

The Abyss **was restless.**

Sothing was waiting.

Sai could **feel it.**

Lena walked beside him, adjusting the grip on her chakrams. "So. Are we just ignoring the fact that the Abyss is literally guiding us sowhere?"

Sai exhaled. "I think it’s been guiding since the beginning."

Lena raised a brow. "And that doesn’t bother you?"

Sai hesitated. **It should.**

But the truth was... **it didn’t.**

The Abyss wasn’t just so mindless force.

It had chosen him.

Now, he had to decide if he would **accept that choice.**

---

### **The Gate of the Abyss**

The ruins gave way to a **massive chasm.**

And at the center of it—**a gate unlike anything Sai had ever seen.**

Towering black stone, etched with **glowing abyssal runes**, pulsed with power. The air **humd** with energy, thick and heavy.

Sai’s system **pinged.**

**[Location Discovered: Abyssal Gate]**

**[Status: Sealed]**

Sai’s breath caught. **It was real.**

Neris let out a low whistle. "Well. That’s dramatic."

Ezren stepped forward. "This is where it all began."

Sai turned to him. "What do you an?"

Ezren’s golden eyes flickered. "This is where the Abyssal King made his last stand."

Sai’s stomach **tightened.**

**The last stand.**

The mont where the Abyss had **fallen.**

And now...

Sai was **standing in the sa place.**

---

### **The Choice**

The Abyss was **waiting.**

The gate remained sealed—but not for long.

Sai exhaled, stepping closer. He could **feel it pulsing**, like a heartbeat just beneath the surface.

Kael tensed. "If you open it, there’s no turning back."

Lena swallowed hard. "Sai. Are we really doing this?"

Sai clenched his fists.

The Betrayer was coming.

The Hidden Order was coming.

And the only way to stop them?

**Was to claim what had been lost.**

Ezren stepped beside him. "You don’t have to do this."

Sai’s breath was steady. "I know."

Then—**he reached out.**

His fingers **brushed against the stone.**

And the Abyssal Gate **awoke.**

A deep **rumble** shook the ground.

The runes **flared to life.**

The Abyss **opened its arms.**

And Sai **stepped forward.**

The war **had begun.**
