Albus’s figure reerged unhard at the entrance to his ho, his expression twisted in a crazed fashion as he glared at Alex.
"You ungrateful bastard!... I’ll kill you!"
Though inclined to feel regretful that a less violent way to resolve the conflict could no longer be reached due to Finn and Alice’s actions, Alex decided to put that aside and focus on what was.
anwhile, in response to Albus’s deranged state, Phineas and the other Chiras still under the TruthSeeker’s control moved with killing intent.
As Finn and Alice prepared to engage, Alex snapped his finger, resulting in the release of Embers.
The black and white fla surged forward to engulf the Conjoined Mystics.
Alas, Alex underestimated the one they called Phineas.
The Chira stretched his hand out, revealing an open mouth on it and like it were noodles, the mouth sucked in the flas, dispersing it before it had a chance to make an impact.
Alex was flabbergasted but before he could even get the chance to question why Finn and Alice hadn’t utilized the sa trick as Phineas, the Chira stretched out with his other arm revealing yet another mouth.
"Shit."
Pa
A concentrated heat blast erged, resulting in a thunderclap as it crossed the sound barrier.
Alex’s figure turned ethereal, switching between pitch black and night white, allowing him to receive the attack head-on without taking any damage.
Phineas went wide-eyed but it was too late.
There was a flash and then... a big bang followed.
By the ti the light died down, Alex had returned to normal, his breathing asured as he kept his eyes ahead, utilizing his spirituality to sense around.
Charlotte also kept her eyes peeled, prepared to swing at the slightest sign of danger.
anwhile, both Finn and Alice were left to contemplate if they would be useful considering Alex was doing well by himself.
Just then, Alex queried the Chira duo. "You could do that?", referring to Phineas absorbing his flas.
"It is feasible but you caught us off guard hence why we couldn’t do anything about it," Finn replied only to imdiately make a move as he sensed sothing.
Charlotte seed to have sensed it as well as she moved with intent.
Out of the white smoke obscuring their vision, snown erged with killing intent, their mouths open, revealing an icy abyss within while their eyes glowed a sinister purple.
Alex ignored them as they were of no consequence.
He needed to find Albus and fast.
The crux of mysticism was Understanding.
The more a Mystic understood, the stronger they were capable of getting.
This was one of the reasons he could dominate in his battles as he had his understanding from Earth as a sort of cheat.
Thinking about soone like Albus who was a professor of knowledge, a TruthSeeker, Alex didn’t dare underestimate what such a person could do when twisted and given power.
Taking a deep breath, he was prepared to further stretch out his Spirituality to find Albus quicker only to pause as he sensed sothing else.
The air currents... they were slowing down.
Alex’s heart tightened as he cursed aloud. "Fuck, he is trying to suffocate us."
He imdiately snapped, utilizing Embers again to burn away everything obscuring their vision, which is when he realized that the smog wasn’t just a consequence of the explosion.
It was yet another of Albus’s Abilities at work.
Indeed, he was right to fear the combination of a TruthSeeker with the Abyss Wheel.
With the smog cleared, Alex noticed Albus not too far away, his lips curled in amusent as he had four cards lined in front of him.
Alex furrowed his brows.
The first card was most likely his substitution card, the second, the smog, the third, the snown and the fourth was the one he was using to freeze the air currents.
He snapped.
Just as he appeared where Albus was, he unleashed Nyx’s authority in a bid to forcibly stop him from utilizing any more Abilities.
It worked... but not as he intended.
Albus’s figure cracked and fell apart, revealing him standing in another position.
"Try all you want, you ungrateful bastard, you won’t stop !"
Alex clicked his tongue as he understood that it was similar to the case with Basar.
Having co in contact with a powerful enough force, it was easy to not be completely oppressed when another Mystic attempted to use their Authority to suppress them.
"You leave no choice," Alex muttered as he sent an order across to Charlotte.
The vampire suddenly paused fighting the snown and imdiately disappeared.
As she appeared next to Albus, Phineas erged once again, blocking her strike.
His body was already quite mangled from taking Alex’s counterattack head-on, he was barely able to stop her attack though it bought Albus enough ti to put down one card and take out another.
"Damn it, what ti did you have to comprehend so many Abilities!" Alex cursed in frustration as he watched Albus transform into a gust of snow to move to another position.
Albus chuckled as he appeared on another rooftop.
He put back all his cards, save one, which Alex deduced was most likely the one he was using to freeze the air currents before attempting to pull out more.
Alex snapped, teleporting next to Albus and grabbing the old man’s wrist.
"Enough." He growled. "I don’t wish to kill you."
Albus glared at him. "But I want to kill you."
Almost imdiately, the ’fur’ on Albus’s face moved and pierced Alex’s face, causing him to jerk back as his mind was invaded.
It was then he realized that the fur wasn’t hair at all but instead, incredibly thin tentacles!
"Haha, you can’t run away now!... Join , Alex!... Join !" Albus exclaid in excitent, his lips curled in sadistic amusent.
Before more could be said, Charlotte appeared and without hesitation, pierced Albus’s heart, causing the old man to stiffen.
Eyes widened, the professor staggered before falling off the roof.
A dull thud echoed a mont later.
