"Okay, let us go and look at that car. You have already opened all the presents, so, there's only one present that is remaining." Olivia said excitedly as she pulled Denali out of the private room.
The group exited the private room, and headed towards the underground parking lot of the Glaze hotel. The mont that they arrived there, they realized that, even though it was late at night, there was actually a small group of people that was still moving in the underground parking lot.
It was quite good that currently, the Glaze hotel was having many branches in the sa city. So, it was not crowded. But nonetheless, the number of cars that was present in the underground parking was also high.
More than this, almost all the cars that were present here were from The Future Techs. The entire car industry had already been shifted.
Finally, the group arrived at a certain corner of the parking lot. This place was actually kind of deserted. This was due to the arrangent that Jack had made, to ensure that nobody compromised the preparations that he had made.
When the car that was hidden beneath the car cover was removed, a car was revealed to the crowd. This was also the first ti that everyone present was seeing the car, including Celine.
In fact, she had not been expecting that Jack was going to give Denali a car. Jack had simply told her that he was going to give her a present, and she had to prepare another present for herself that she was going to give to Denali.
And now, looking at the sleek red car whose body was like that of a sports car in front of her, she could not help but get a little surprised. After all, she realized that, other than several distinctive features of the car, there was not much difference in terms of appearance of this car, with the one that Jack had prepared for her.
In fact, she realized that, all the three cars that have been made by Jack himself were actually of the sa model. But still, Celine also realized that it was not just a difference in terms of the colors that the cars possessed, but, the functions of the cars was also different.
Denali's eyes shone with excitent. It would be a lie if she said that she had never been jealous of the fact that, Celine possessed a car that was custom made for herself. But now, in front of her, was a car that had been prepared just for her.
"You can go ahead and test it." Jack pointed out towards the car as she motioned for Denali to go ahead.
With excitent akin to that of a little girl, Denali leapt forward, before using the key that she had been given by Jack to open the car's door. After that, she looked at the futuristic interior appearance of the car, and could not help but get amazed.
Still, she did not drive the car. Considering the fact that there was a group of people that was waiting for her outside, she decided that she was going to try the car during the ti that she would be leaving here.
After enjoying the luxury of the car, Denali finally ca out after about 10 minutes. And, the mont that she stepped outside, her eyes suddenly widened in surprise.
Since she had been so much focused with the appearance of the car, she did not pay much attention to what was happening outside. And now, she suddenly realized that, during the ti that she was inside, a horse had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Moreover, this was the horse that she had taken a liking to about a week ago. She had never expected that she was going to see this horse once again. Additionally, the horse was carrying a piece of paper that was handed to her.
With excitent and surprise in her eyes, Denali went ahead and opened the creased paper. The words inside surprised her. "Happy birthday. Do you like as a present?"
Even though she did not recognize the handwriting, she already knew that there was no way that the horse could write it. But still, she linked all of this to Jack. After all, he was the owner of the horses.
"You can give her a na. Until now, she doesn't possess any na." Jack said. Unlike Bella and Shadow, the rest of the horses had not been given any na as of yet.
Denali looked at the horse in front of her, possessing the coat of her favorite color. Then, after a mont of thinking, she finally uttered a na. "Althea!"
The mont that she said that, Jack was a little surprised. After all, the last ti that Denali was called by that na, she refused to acknowledge it. It seed that she did not like it.
As if knowing what Jack was thinking, Denali said with a smile as she stroked the mane of the horse, "I have to learn to embrace both my past, present and future. Even though there are so past events that I didn't like, but still, I will have to cherish them because they are the ones that made who I am today."
Denali understood one thing. If she had never gone to the shadow organization, then, there was no way that she was going to ever et with Jack. At the end of the day, without the skills that she was possessing, then, it was a sure bet that she would have remained back at her own hotown, living an ordinary life.
But, with the incredible skills that she possessed, she was hired by Jack, and was able to live a life that she currently was living. At the sa ti, she had gained a lot and managed to change from all the harsh conditions that she had been living in, in the shadow organization.
And now, even though it was true that she really didn't like the na back then, but now, she really liked it. Even though it was not by a large margin, she believed that, with the horse that had been given to her, she would be able to like the na as ti went by.
Jack nodded his head in understanding. After that, he was just about to say sothing, when suddenly, his phone began ringing.
Jack frowned a little. At the sa ti, he wondered who it was that was calling him. At the end of the day, he did not have a lot of people that could contact him, and most of them would not contact him at night, that was unless there was an ergency, sothing that could not be discussed the following day.
Taking out his phone, he realized that the caller was none other than Samantha. Samantha had said that she had realized that there was sothing wrong, so, she did not attend the birthday party.
Even though Jack did not know what was going on, but still, he allowed Samantha to be free. At the end of the day, he was going to spend the entire day together with Celine, so, there was no need for Samantha to be there.
Moreover, Celine was now even stronger than Samantha, reducing Samantha's usefulness in terms of protection.
Additionally, considering the fact that Samantha and Denali were actually getting along quite well, Jack knew that there had to be sothing of great importance for Samantha to decide not to attend the banquet.
Even though he was curious about it, he did not ask. But now, Samantha was calling. With curiosity in his heart, Jack received the call.
"Hello boss, there is a group of guardians that is from the Panthers organization that has co over. From the direction that they are heading to, I can tell that they are heading towards the capital city." Samantha said anxiously.
Of course, Jack had already returned to her the communication device. As such, Samantha was able to communicate with a friend of hers back at the stronghold. And of course, Jack had already made modifications on the communication device, to ensure that there was no tracking of the device.
Jack finally understood the reason as to why Samantha had decided to not attend the birthday banquet. It seed that she had been inford that a group of guardians from the shadow organization had left.
Knowing that this matter might be related to Erick, Samantha decided to investigate about it. Additionally, since it was Denali's birthday, she had decided that, she was not going to talk about sothing like this.
With the appearance of the Panthers organization, Samantha knew that she had to handle the matter. And, knowing the direction that this group of guardians might appear from, she went ahead and waited there.
Of course, it was so distance away from the capital city, Kartu city. She wanted to ensure that, if she spotted this group of people, then, she would be able to inform Jack as soon as possible.
When Jack was inford of this news, a frown was etched on his face, but it disappeared in the next mont. But nonetheless, Celine, whose current combat capabilities had already reached the 9th level, and Denali whose combat capabilities was already at the 8th level, all noticed this.
At this mont, they already realized that there was sothing wrong. So, serious expressions appeared on their faces. They were ready to move as long as Jack said what it was.
"Don't worry about that. You can co back to the city, and we will be dealing with them tomorrow." Jack instructed. After that, he hang up.
'Well, they ca just on ti. I had never expected that even they themselves are actually telling that I have to go to the stronghold. Well, since this is an invitation, I will not refuse.' Jack thought to himself.
"Hey Jack, what's going on?" Jonathan asked with one of his hand wrapped around Wendy's waist.
