[Ghost Control Master Alliance] Guild Hall.

In the conference room of the managent floor on the topmost level, a young man with blonde hair and blue eyes sat in a carved armchair against the wall.

The carved armchair was placed on a circular high platform, with the back towering up to the ceiling.

The blonde man wore a lavishly styled mage robe, emitting a faint purple sheen, embroidered with golden patterns that shimred in the dim light of the conference room.

He leaned back in the chair, one leg crossed over the other, with his long boots resting on the footstool in front of him. He raised his hand to take a slender wine glass from the nearby shelf and took a sip of red wine.

"Hmm..."

A faint groan from a woman echoed beside him.

He frowned, a shadow clouding his eyes, seemingly annoyed at having his wine ti disturbed.

His deep blue eyes lowered slightly, gazing at the woman beside the armchair.

The woman's skin was pale as wall ash, and her silver hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, spreading across the floor.

She was bound hand and foot by scarlet ropes, kneeling on the ground in a twisted posture, her head raised high, her mouth filled with a carved hollow ball of double dragon pearl pattern, rendering her speechless.

The mont she t his deep blue eyes, she shivered, recoiling instinctively in fear.

However, the control pattern on the back of her neck glowed with a silvery light, forbidding her from retreating.

The blonde man raised his hand, and the round control pattern in his palm glowed with the sa light.

He brought his hand close to her cheek, his long fingers slipped into the hollow ball, pushing it forcefully into her mouth, "Wear it properly."

His voice was not loud, almost tender, yet it sent another tremor through the woman.

He smiled, using his thumb to wipe away the drool dripping from the corner of her mouth, "If it falls off again, I'll just rip out your tongue."

The silver-haired woman's pupils constricted, shaking her head repeatedly, cold sweat dripping onto the floor.

She knew very well that this man ant every word he said.

"President!"

Soone knocked on the door.

The blonde man lifted his gaze toward the doorway.

The heavy door of the conference room creaked open, and simultaneously, the room's lights turned on completely.

Now, the scene on the platform was fully revealed—

The footstool under the blonde man's feet, the cushion he sat on, and the shelf holding the wine glass were all composed of won, each strikingly beautiful and exquisitely shaped.

His hands were covered with circular control patterns, with a silver light flowing from his fingertips to his arms, disappearing into the sleeves of his mage robe.

The room was filled with won, manipulated by the patterns on his hands, each maintaining a peculiar posture like puppets.

A short, plump man stepped into the conference room and halted at the sight before him.

It seed he had interrupted the president's pasti.

The short, plump man hesitated montarily, unsure if he should quietly exit the room.

But the blonde man spoke, still in that tender tone, "Have there been any updates on the trial map?"

The short, plump man nodded, "Yes! Initial judgnt suggests that the prophecy is true!"

"Oh?"

The short, plump man continued, "I hacked into one of the NPC systems and, through that NPC, discovered Jun Wuming—"

"—What did you say?!"

The blonde man's voice rose a bit, his eyes narrowing.

It was the first ti the short, plump man had seen such an expression on the president's face. He trembled, his legs shaking, unsure why there was such sudden anger when he had barely just begun.

"Did you converse with Jun Wuming as an NPC?"

The blonde man asked slowly and distinctly.

The short, plump man stamred, "Y-yes... I o-only said one sentence..."

He had just said five words—"Miss, do you want more?"

What could possibly be wrong with that?

However, he had no ti to defend himself, as the blonde man had already pulled out a magic wand from his sleeve.

The base of the wand sparkled with a ghostly blue gem.

...The Divine Staff Fragnt of the Great Demon Master?!

The short, plump man collapsed to his knees in fright, "President! Spare , President! I can assure you with all my assets! Jun Wuming surely didn't recognize ! Pre—"

But before he could finish, the blonde man flicked his wand gently.

"Ahhh—"

The short, plump man was covered in bloodlines, and the next mont, his body shattered into small blocks like a Tetris ga, scattering on the floor.

"I have no need for fools here."

The blonde man glanced at the scattered flesh and bone on the floor, speaking coldly.

After a mont of silence, he lifted his gaze, staring into the distance as he took a sip of wine and murmured:

"Jun Wuming, this ti, you got lucky."

...

...

At the entrance of Qi Middle School, internet cafe.

Seeing Yu Xueba's ssage, concise and to the point, Wen Nan smiled wryly.

He rembered vividly the gentleman's agreent he had with Yu Xueba, which clearly stated in clause 6 that before the final task settlent, Party A promised to share their equipnt reserve slot with Party B once.

Looks like it's ti to borrow his equipnt slot.

But the timing was just too perfect, coming exactly when his task completion rate hit 100%, neither too early nor too late?

But since they had signed an agreent, Wen Nan naturally had to fulfill his promise.

Closing the conversation window, he stood up and walked out.

Little Chili had just been killed once in the black maze and was storming out with a stick. Sensing the movent, she turned to Wen Nan and shouted:

"Where are you going? Co help defeat the Big Head! It's too fierce! I can't beat it!"

Wen Nan kept walking, leaving a sentence behind: "Ask Guangzhi to save you."

Leaving the internet cafe, Wen Nan followed Yu Shujun back to campus, heading straight to the center of the sports field.

This was a great place for a transaction.

"Loan your equipnt reserve slot now."

Yu Shujun got straight to the point, then squatted down and began pulling out items he had scavenged, one by one, from the inside of his oversized school uniform.

Seeing how Yu Shujun's school uniform bulged with items, Wen Nan was convinced his earlier judgnt was right—all the hidden equipnt on this map must have been bagged by Yu Xueba.

"Cleaned up so well..." Wen Nan muttered quietly.

Yu Shujun paused, throwing him a puzzled look, "...What?"

Wen Nan realized the ambiguity of his words and coughed, "Nothing, you carry on."

Yu Shujun had no ti for banter and continued pulling equipnt from his clothing.

As he looked at the equipnt laid out on the sports field, Wen Nan was taken aback.
