Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Who Was That Boy?
Harris deliberately asked to et his ex-girlfriend at dinner. What they are doing now is as if they were having a romantic dinner. Luckily Harris booked a VIP room, so there are no paparazzi watching them now. Even though Claudia is his ex, he tries to maintain his attitude so that his self-esteem is not destroyed because of love problems.
anwhile, Claudia’s goal in wanting to et Harris was more likely to be curious, was it true that Harris was the one who saved her at that ti? Moreover, Harris joined the military when he was a teenager, Harris must have been assigned to save the children at the academy that day.
"Speaking of which, it’s been a long ti since we dated." Harris pursed his lips for a mont, accidentally letting out an inappropriate word in front of his ex. "I an we have dinner together."
Claudia didn’t mind that Harris thought what they were doing right now was dating. After all, she didn’t marry Harry basically for love. However, in order to carry out a mission to save his life.
"You’ve been fine all this ti, right?" Claudia asked quietly.
Harris nodded. "Actually, I still can’t believe it, you’ve loved Harry all this ti, not ."
"I’m sorry, Harris."
"You don’t need to apologize, Claudia. The important thing is that we still have a good relationship. Especially now that you’re part of the Harperwood family."
Now part of the Harperwood family, Claudia wanted to be outspoken. This dinner must get important information from Harris regarding the chaos that occurred in the past. Claudia was very sure that it was Harris who saved her at that ti. In particular, Harris is also good at saying pearls of wisdom which really motivate him.
"Harris, may I ask you about an incident in the past?"
"You don’t want to hear stories from the past. What’s wrong with you?"
"Do you rember the murder incident that occurred at a music academy by rebel soldiers?"
Harris propped his chin and frowned. "The incident was truly terrible. I can’t imagine how many children there died, including the music teacher."
"Did you just hear the news or have you served against the rebel forces? If I rember, at that ti you were also attending the military academy with Harry."
"It’s true that at that ti I served with Harry. We also tried to save all the children there, but our efforts were unsuccessful." Harris exhaled weakly while touching his chest. "Every ti I rember that incident, I can’t sleep well. Moreover, at that ti Harry was injured because he saved soone."
Claudia’s eyes widened. I rember hearing a loud gunshot that hit the teenage boy’s shoulder. The teenage boy tried to endure the pain. Is that teenage boy Harry?
"I also managed to save a little girl," added Harris, making Claudia’s forehead furrow even more.
"Little girl?"
"I rember clearly, the beautiful girl was crying in fear. Luckily I managed to save her in ti before she was shot."
Initially she thought Harry was the one who saved her, but now she has changed to Harris. Hearing Harris’ side of the story, Claudia beca increasingly convinced that the hero who saved her at that ti was Harris. Exactly what she experienced at that ti.
Her eyes started to fill with tears hearing Harris’ story. She didn’t want to ask further because she was quite satisfied with hearing the answer she really wanted to hear.
"By the way, why did you ask
to tell a story like this suddenly? Aren’t you the one who always avoided the story of the past for a long ti?"
Claudia wiped her tears. "I was just curious all of a sudden. You and Harry have been to the military academy, surely you two have saved children there."
"Forget about that terrible incident, Claudia. What you have to focus on is the present."
"I also want to try to forget that terrible incident." For a mont Claudia closed her mouth gracefully. "Why are you talking as if you knew I was involved in that incident? Even though I never told you."
"You’re that little girl, right? The one who survived the hostage incident?"

On the other hand, Harry was still discussing the mysterious man who t his wife at the restaurant, with Thomas in the palace’s defense minister’s room. His forehead furrowed at the report. His right hand tapped rhythmically on the wooden table to clear his thoughts.
"That person, so impudent, is still alive and roaming in the kingdom of Godnation. Actually what did my n do during the hostage incident!"
"So, now what should we do? Should we kill him now?" Thomas asked, a little panicked.
Harry massaged his temples with a cruel look. "We will kill him at the right ti. To be sure, I will send several knights to guard all the places my wife will visit."
"Does your wife have anything to do with that person?"
"My wife was the only victim who survived the hostage incident," answered Harry confidently.
Thomas gasped when he heard the story from his employer. The books he was holding suddenly fell to the floor. "Do not tell...."
"You don’t need to comnt much. For now, I don’t want to do many activities at night. I want to make sure my wife is safe."
When he arrived at his residence, Harry walked slowly into the dark living room. As usual, he wanted to give food to the baby birds, but Claudia’s actions were faster. A faint smile appeared on his handso face, he stepped up the stairs to his room.
When he entered the room, he saw that his wife was asleep as usual. Harry stepped forward slowly while taking off his jacket, watch and tie. Then he lay down next to his wife. Even though his body was sticky from sweating all day, he prioritized looking at his wife, who was always sweet in his eyes.
His right hand slowly stroked his wife’s tiny head with a look of pity. "You’re so stupid, Claudia. You don’t have to bother looking for that boy anymore." Harry planted his lips on her forehead for a few seconds. "There is no need to repay the child, because he is happy enough now."
