"I don’t understand, dear. What are you trying to say?" the tribal empress said.
"Do you not understand, or are you trying to say you can’t? I have now understood all your sches. You’ve been pressuring about Sylvia, insisting I not make her crown princess when you clearly know she’s worthy. And now, you didn’t even hesitate to tarnish your own daughter’s reputation. Is this what you call being a mother?" the emperor roared in anger.
"So you know everything? Who told you? Sylvia? Your dear princess? I knew it was only her. She’s the one trying to take my empress position," the empress said, acting like a madwoman.
"You truly have lost it, Empress. You’re so blinded by your position that you can’t even see she’s your daughter. If we don’t have a son, we will eventually make our daughter the heir. But you’ve stooped so low, it’s unbelievable."
"Now you’ve left with only one choice," the emperor said, placing his hands behind his back.
"What is it, dear?" the empress whimpered, trembling in fear.
"You will now be locked away in the sa prison as concubine Fang i. You will spend your remaining days there.Your title of empress is hereby revoked, effective imdiately," the emperor declared, causing the empress to fall to her knees.
"No, no, no! Please, don’t strip of my title! I can’t live without being empress! Spare ! This is the last ti, please spare !" the empress begged, but no one heeded her pleas or cries. Knights entered the chamber as ordered by the emperor and dragged her out, taking her to the prison.
"Guard, go inform the princess that I wish to see her," the tribal emperor announced.
"As you wish, Your Highness," the guard said and left to inform Princess Sylvia.
"Your Highness, the Princess. The emperor wishes to see you," the guard inford her, reaching Sylvia’s chamber.
"Any urgent matter?" Sylvia asked.
"I have no idea about that, Your Highness, but what I do know is that the empress has gone down to the underground prison to the concubine Fang i’s cell. However, I don’t know anything else after that. So, if you hurry and et His Royal Highness, he will be pleased."
"Okay, I will be there imdiately," Princess Sylvia said, walking hurriedly towards the emperor’s chamber. But she stopped as Crown Prince Maximus appeared in front of her out of nowhere.
"Your Highness, the Crown Prince? You haven’t left yet?" Sylvia asked.
"You are such a heartless woman, aren’t you? You’re well aware, right?" Maximus said.
"What have I done to make you see as a heartless woman, Your Highness? Did I hurt you perhaps?" Sylvia asked politely.
"Yes, Princess, you have. We spent the night together lovingly, but as soon as the night was over, you’re behaving like nothing ever happened, as if you felt nothing during the ti we spent together. Why? Why such heartless behavior towards , Princess?" Maximus said, trying to get closer to Sylvia.
"Your Highness, it’s not what you think. But it is sothing I happened to do. Didn’t you say you were drugged last night and needed my help? So, I did help you get through the situation. But now you’re making seem like a villain, Your Highness? Do you perhaps need for sothing more, are you thinking?" Sylvia asked.
"Of course. I’m very obvious about my feelings, Princess. I did need you to secure my position, so I need you to fill the void in my life. Don’t act so indifferent and be my Crown Princess, Princess Sylvia," Maximus said, kissing the back of her hand.
"Your Highness, it’s not possible, as you well know," Sylvia removed her hand from his.
"Why? Because you can’t inherit this tribal empire? Is this the only reason? If I solve this? If I solve this, will you agree to my terms, Princess?" Maximus said again, touching her hand and making her blush.
"I don’t know. But for now, I have finished my task. So, you can return to the capital. I will be very grateful for what you did for this tribe." Sylvia said, walking forward towards the emperor’s chamber and announcing her arrival.
"Father, you called?" Sylvia asked as soon as she entered the chamber.
"Yes, my princess. I have called you. So please be seated. This is going to be a long conversation," the emperor said, sitting in front of her.
"What is it, Father? I heard you sent Mother to the prison. What did she do to make you give such an order? What happened that I might not be aware of?" Sylvia said.
"You don’t need to worry about that, but I’ve finally decided what I need to do," the emperor said.
"I don’t quite understand what you an, Father," Sylvia said.
"It’s nothing complicated, sothing you can understand because it’s about you. It’s about this small empire built by our ancestors. I’ve finally co to the conclusion that I will not have a son in this life. So, as the emperor of this tribal empire,I hereby grant you, the princess, the right to inherit the tribal empire."
"Father? Are you really granting this empire? Are you really giving the place I’ve been craving for so long? Are you really making the Crown Princess?" Sylvia said, her eyes beaming up.
"Yes, my child. I’m granting you your wish. I’m making you the Crown Princess of this tribal empire. You will be my heir from now on. And I’m going to announce it shortly, after which you will be the future of this empire," the emperor declared, announcing the arrival of the priest.
"Priest? I an, High Priest, what are you doing here?" Sylvia asked.
"I’m here at the disposal of His Highness, the Emperor," the High Priest said.
"Father, what is this? Is there perhaps sothing else going on here that I’m not aware of?" Sylvia asked.
"No, there’s nothing else. It’s about the princess’s coronation," the Emperor said.
