Chapter 596: Chapter 595

Holly Sims spoke up: “Co with .”

Keera Olsen followed behind her, and the two of them headed towards the archive room together.

Holly Sims explained: “The materials in the archive room cannot be lent out, so you can only read them inside.”

Upon hearing this, Keera Olsen was slightly taken aback: “What exactly is this Special Division?”

She had never heard of it before.

Holly Sims then began to elaborate: “Our division outwardly deals with the feuds and struggles of wealthy families, but in private, we handle so bizarre cases, as well as things involving mysterious matters.”

“Mysterious matters?”

Keera Olsen inquired with surprise: “Are there really things in this world that science cannot explain?”

Holly Sims imdiately clarified: “Where did your mind go? Our society doesn’t have any ghosts or gods. It’s the 21st century, how could you think that?”

Keera Olsen’s mouth twitched slightly – she couldn’t be blad, right? Who would have thought she’d recently encounter such a mysterious family as the South Family?

A family so enigmatic that the Global Navigation Satellite System couldn’t locate it. Uncle Olsen and Lewis Horton had sought help from international forces, but still knew nothing of this family’s existence.

But judging from Vera South’s earlier comnts, if living in Crera, a place with world-leading technology, was considered exile… then how high-end must the South Family’s existence be?

A realm of immortals?

She couldn’t possibly be living in so sort of fantasy world, right? In the end, would she have to cultivate to a higher realm to save her mother? That would be utterly ridiculous.

As Keera Olsen was lost in wild thoughts, Holly Sims spoke up: “In fact, there are many mysterious forces in this world. Earth is so vast, and humanity has continued for so many years, it’s certain that there are secretive families, like the South Family being one of them…”

She explained: “Everything unreasonable in this world can be explained by science. Don’t let your imagination run wild.”

Keera Olsen nodded, realizing her imagination was getting the better of her.

The reason the South Family’s location couldn’t be found by global satellites might simply be due to their own powerful shielding system, which kept them hidden from the outside world.

She had lived for just over twenty years and had never encountered such a mysterious family, which was nearly leading her to mythologize the South Family.

With these thoughts, Keera Olsen followed Holly Sims into the archive room.

Holly Sims skillfully led Keera Olsen to the file that recorded the South Family and handed it to her.

The file was covered with a layer of fine dust, showing that no one had touched it for years.

She imdiately opened it and saw that the records of the South Family dated back a hundred years.

She was slightly astonished.

Crera hadn’t even been established for a hundred years!

As she was pondering, Holly Sims began talking about the history of the Special Division: “Actually, our Special Division was established a hundred years ago. Back then it was just a civilian organization trying to find a way out for Crera, intending to help record so things for our ancestors. Later, all recorded materials were handed over to the officials, and then the governnt took over… Our family holds a special position in the Special Division, because… the Special Division was founded by my great-grandfather. The officials trust us, and thus every leader of the Special Division has been from our family. Now it is my grandfather. My father previously beca a forensic doctor to avoid conflicts of interest. After my father, there’s no desire to manage the Special Division.”

Keera Olsen understood and nodded.

Before, she had only thought Holly Sims ca from a family of forensic experts, not realizing there was such a background.

She continued reading.

A hundred years ago, the record contained only one sentence: The South Family is an ancient family; if we could gain their help, we could be saved. Unfortunately, we cannot contact them.

Keera Olsen continued flipping through, and almost every five years, there would be so records.

The South Family appeared, but they rely passed through Crera and left.

The South Family mbers appeared again, seeming to take an interest in Crera.

Next was a record from over forty years ago: It seems soone from the South Family ca to Crera!

Records of the South Family grew sparser over ti, as if they had faded into the annals of history; from initially being perceived as formidable, they gradually beca ordinary.

Keera Olsen gazed at the thin booklet.

The South Family deliberately used this thod for recording in the Special Division, a unique existence indeed, with others on record being entities like the royal family of Country Y.

Keera Olsen stared at the booklet in her hand, gaining a new understanding of the South Family.

After placing the file back on the shelf, Holly Sims looked at her and spoke: “What exactly is the background of this South Family? They seem particularly mysterious.”

Keira Olsen shook her head: “I don’t know.”

Holly Sims then asked: “Why is it that your sister belongs to the South Family, your mother was taken by the South Family, yet you’re not considered part of the South Family? And they wanted to have you killed?”

Keira Olsen’s jaw tightened; that was her own question, too.

One area she never quite understood, the only possibility was… her sister might have been taken by soone from the South Family.

Her mother hid in Oceanion for so many years… was she, like her sister, living a low-key life? Trying to avoid such conflicts?

To get to the specifics, she would have to et her mother, or wait until the real Fox was caught, to figure it all out!

Keira Olsen turned to Holly Sims: “Let’s go.”

Holly Sims nodded, and the two prepared to leave. But just as they turned to go, Keira Olsen suddenly saw a file placed on the shelf.

Her steps halted imdiately.

Holly Sims followed her gaze, and upon seeing the sealed file, explained: “This is reinforcent from the Special Division, the Freeman Sect.”

Keira Olsen paused, expressing her surprise: “What did you say?”

Her expression beca sowhat complex.

Holly Sims explained in a low voice: “This is a secret of the Special Division, not disclosed to the public. Because the Special Division often has to carry out special missions, sotis when we lack personnel, the Freeman Sect is our strongest support. Their martial arts practitioners are very powerful. You’ve been in Clance for a while, you must have heard of them, haven’t you?”

Keira Olsen smiled wryly: “I have indeed heard of them.”

She, the senior sister of the Freeman Sect, had no idea she was actually considered part of the Special Division!

No wonder when she told her Sect Leader to just write the senior sister’s na as Keera Olsen, he was extrely cautious.

She had thought it was just the Freeman Sect’s internal roster that was important, but she had no idea that the roster, especially for inner gate disciples, was sothing that could be officially enlisted!

No wonder they were so careful.

However, later, because of the Gill family, she was forced to reveal her identity, so now the na Keera Olsen is known as the senior sister of the Freeman Sect…

As Holly Sims walked her out, she said: “But this was the list submitted last ti. I heard their senior sister has returned and we haven’t had the chance to add her na yet. This senior sister of the Freeman Sect was highly praised by their Sect Leader; sotis, I wonder just what kind of heroic figure she must be.”

Keira Olsen smiled wryly: “She’s alright, I guess?”

Holly Sims spoke again: “You don’t understand, the Freeman Sect is very strict in selecting disciples, I heard it took the Sect Leader twenty years to finally pick their senior sister. If only I could undertake a mission with her… but I don’t even know her na.”

Keira Olsen, following behind Holly Sims, coughed at this remark: “Actually, that would be .”
