Chapter 2021: Chapter 2015: The New Generation

A year and a half feels like an eternity for a child, but for many adults and corporations, it’s just another annual bonus and tax season.

“…We need you to decide whether to keep developing or to start hitting the brakes.”

“Currently, the employnt related to us accounts for 56% of the city’s young and middle-aged population, and our related industries contribute to 83% of the GDP. In fact, if not for those industries in the developnt zone, we could account for 90%.”

“We have undoubtedly beco the pillar of this city….. But whether to beco the city itself is for you to decide.”

When a train is racing on its tracks, without the conductor nodding, no one naturally stops.

“Chris?”

Lu Ping’an was a bit surprised; he hadn’t realized the group had expanded to this extent.

It’s likely that most public industries, especially dical and hospital facilities, are now under Lu Ping’an’s influence…. This doesn’t an all the output is the Rebirth Group’s, but that their funds and personnel have infiltrated every industry and large to dium-sized company in the special zone.

This can’t just be explained by natural developnt; it’s clearly a result of soone’s intervention.

And as far as Lu Ping’an knows… Even if Chris is unaware of the over-expansion, the smart Fei’er would remind her, and this level of expansion and infiltration requires a strategist.

Xue En hadn’t ntioned this before; Lu Ping’an believed he wouldn’t keep it from him. Then, if Xue En didn’t know… the only one who could do this would be the “Queen.”

“Two reasons.”

Compared to before, a slightly more mature Chris spoke frankly.

“We need to expand to prove that we indeed have further developnt potential. Also, since this is our territory, the more we eat, the less outsiders consu… If they want a share, they must get our approval. In the worst-case scenario, we’re still in the know.”

Most businesses, the Rebirth Business Group has so shares, so when external acquisitions or internal restructurings happen, our side will receive the information.

At least, when there’s trouble and outsiders enter the field, we can prepare in advance.

Hearing this, Lu Ping’an nodded. This might be a reason, but there’s no need to go this far.

“The second reason is… you’re still evolving, aren’t you, Lu Ping’an? Your domain already covers the outskirts of the city.”

This was sothing Lu Ping’an hadn’t noticed until now.

He looked up at the sky, realizing that his Divine Realm not only encompassed the entire Ancient city and its surrounding areas but also began extending to other towns and cities.

He has clearly surpassed the Tenth-order standard and started expanding into unknown domains.

And the courtyard….. seems to have already consud this region.

“This place has beco a part of you, not just for safety… If you want to make so changes, you’ll need legal support.”

Now, Lu Ping’an understood. If he wanted to further perfect his Divine Position, establish a Life Domain, or cultivate a Demonized Forest, he’d need greater control.

So things, you might not feel now, but once given away, it’s hard to take back.

“I really hadn’t thought about this…..”

These words ca from other high officials in the internal eting.

Evidently, when the “Queen” acted whimsically, she didn’t explain to others.

Acts within the Divine Realm itself are rituals of the deity, which require adjustnt and control….. A traditional Order God would have tightened the reins, but Lu Ping’an, being a pioneer, needed to try everything.

If she hadn’t been secretly manipulating things, there might’ve been a lot of other church and official influences entering, raising the cost of even constructing a road for demolition….. The most troubleso wouldn’t be the cost or money, but those who, once here, are difficult to send away without conflict.

“Why didn’t you ntion it before…..”

“ not saying it might lead so to speculate, but saying it would make it headline news….. Those people would be more proactive.”

No one present was foolish enough to talk about absolute confidentiality, as once words are spoken, leaks are just a matter of ti.

Lu Ping’an thought about it but didn’t make a decision.

And this silence itself was a tacit approval of the existing order… Seeing Lu Ping’an’s approval, although Chris’s expression didn’t change, Lu Ping’an sensed her emotion of joy.

“But we still need to loosen up a bit, at least to show we don’t intend to partition… Cut off so project industries, let so of our mbers retire.”

Clearly, Chris had anticipated this.

As trees grow, overly vigorous branches should be pruned even though the industries already occupy too much.

Ti is cruel; even with the courtyard’s help, many professionals still end up in dead ends….. So lack the ability to continue moving forward, and others, having acquired enough wealth and assets, plan to retire to a more leisurely life.

So, officially leaving the Rebirth Group and becoming small business owners might be the optimal choice.

As for whether they have the capability….. in this era of the extraordinary, hiring professional managent personnel is rather easy for an extraordinary boss.

“Let take a look first; I haven’t seen the current state of the city yet.”

Even though Lu Ping’an said this, everyone knew that barring any surprises, he had essentially agreed.

“Let’s go, see our city…”

A year and a half may not be long for a city’s landscape, but walking on the streets, Lu Ping’an even felt like ten years had passed.

“Cars…. are gone?”

“Burning oil isn’t environntally friendly…. Mainly, after the local Exotic Realm transformation, there were so minor issues.”

Hearing this, Lu Ping’an felt a subtle unease.

The streets were filled with various “flying boats” and a bunch of chaotic extraordinary equipnt.

Where cars should have been everywhere, there were hardly any….

“The efficiency of gasoline has greatly decreased. Although our officials claim it’s due to the influence of the Door to Exotic Realm, many high-level life series believe it’s because of you.”

“?”

“In a sense, oil is also the essence of life, the dead…..”

Fossil fuels, oil, and coal among others are products of life (plants and animals) that lost life and accumulated underground over countless years.

From a life system perspective… perhaps burning oil is burning life.

“The value of life should not be exploited or wasted….. Wait, there’s no reason for even this to be managed.”

“Can you fully control your subconscious, your world’s reason?”

“Uh, no.”

Lu Ping’an sighed, but he noticed that though it was a problem, Chris had a smile and was joyful.

“….. This shows that your reasoning is directly interfering with reality, indicating that your world’s reason has far surpassed the world’s fundantal physical laws, proving you are indeed moving towards a higher level…”

Alright, Big Cat can still see the bright side.

Lu Ping’an felt a bit uneasy….. isn’t this affecting the local people’s lives?

“Quite the opposite, without using chemical dyes, we’ve beco the lowest contaminated region in the country, and our new fuel is much cheaper than fossil fuels.”

“And having restricted this technology, we naturally focused on the developnt of the electric and photovoltaic industries, becoming Eastern Country’s largest electric vehicle production base and solar industry project cluster, luckily keeping up with the tis….”
