The canopy of the tree touched the night sky. Its roots crawled all over the lake bottom. It beca the new owner of the door and this dream. The forr owner’s influence was stripped away. The doll beca smaller and smaller. The red on the mother’s dress faded away.
“This is what they really look like. I was afraid of them being hard by the manor owner, so I used the nightmare to turn them into the scariest monsters.” The man admitted. He didn’t plan to resist Gao Ming. He had lost control of the nightmare. He was powerless.
“The scariest monsters?” Gao Ming studied the mother. His gaze caused the woman to shiver. “I can understand turning your sister into a giant doll, but why did you turn your mother into a woman in red? Does red have a special significance to you?”
The man nodded. “You’ll find out after you enter the door. All the scary ghosts there wear red.”
“Have you been there before?”
“Yes. I can be your guide. I believe I am at least more reliable than the things that scurried out of the door.”
“There’s no need to rush. I need to formulate a test result for Immortal Pharma first.” Gao Ming had the little brother resu the role of the nightmare owner. He pushed all the anomalies onto the door. Gao Ming knew this excuse couldn’t last, but he only needed to buy so ti.
After their discussion, Gao Ming sent the doll to look for Qian Jin inside the snowman. He lay down beside Bai Feng and pretended to be dead. Qian Jin’s power ca from the manor owner and not the nightmare owner. Therefore, he retained so special powers. He could lt into murky water. He was also physically stronger than a normal man.
The nightmare owner told Qian Jin the ‘truth’. He said that Bai Feng and Gao Ming had succeeded with the sacrifice. The owner was awakened. The manor owner opened the nightmare door with his last breath and created this tragedy.
Qian Jin knew the door was the exit. He hurried and carried the unconscious duo to et up with the others. The big changes to the nightmare shocked Zhi Ge and the rest. They hid in the nearby forest. They were afraid of missing out on any clues. They didn’t dare to get too close to the lake lest they were snatched by the giant tree.
“I can lead you to the exit! The door is at the bottom of the lake. The consciousness of the tree hasn’t fully awakened. This is our best chance to escape!” Qian Jin waved the arm of the snowman. He finally gained the other testers’ chance after revealing many secrets about Zhi Ge. He morphed into a pool of water and floated up the other boat. He sent the testers to the giant tree. Then, he sent his friends deep into the lake. Throughout the process, Gao Ming kept up his communication with the giant tree. He wanted the tree to use a ginger touch just in case it squashed them.
The door under the water was pierced through by the roots. Gao Ming had the tree provide sufficient support to Qian Jin. If not considering Bai Feng’s safety, Gao Ming wanted to stay there longer. Qian Jin was a good man. He first sent out the ‘unconscious’ Bai Feng and Gao Ming. He stayed to escort everyone out.
“He’s a good man and quite clever. He can be a spare mber.”
The mont he crossed the door, Gao Ming’s walkie-talkie crackled. A power behind the door activated it.
“Door, No. 2, walkie-talkie…”
Feeling the pain from the back of his neck, Gao Ming opened his eyes. He couldn’t hear the voice on the walkie-talkie clearly. He was already out of the nightmare. He removed the helt from his head. He stared at the wires that had been unknowingly attached to him. In his last mory, the testers entered a dark tunnel and arrived at the nightmare. However, Gao Ming looked around and saw everyone lying on a bed. There was dical equipnt around Bai Feng.
“Wait! Soone is awake! Go and get Tang Qing!” Rowdy voices ca from outside. The testers gradually woke up. Only Bai Feng and Qian Jin remained asleep.
Tang Qing rushed into the room. Before he could say anything, Zhi Ge jumped out of bed and grabbed Tang Qing by his collar. “Fuck! The test is fully different from the others. I almost died in there!”
“But you didn’t, right?” Tang Qing smiled. He was slamd into the door by Zhi Ge.
“Qian Jin is now a ghost! Because you hid the information, he is trapped inside the nightmare!” Zhi Ge was agitated, “He sent us out, but he couldn’t leave the nightmare! I saw my brother being barred on the other side of the door! You bunch of heartless animals!”
Tang Qing’s face still carried a smile, but his eyes frosted over. “Don’t worry. We’ll try our best to bring him back.”
Tang Qing knew that sothing would happen in that nightmare. Gao Ming, who was pretending to be asleep, cautiously observed everything. “Where does Immortal Pharma get this confidence to ss with human lives?”
The dical mbers examined their bodies. Bai Feng and Qian Jin were pushed away. Zhi Ge wanted to follow, but he was stopped by Tang Qing, “You seem to have gained a lot.”
The testers were led into different rooms to be questioned. Gao Ming was no exception. He said many things related to Bai Feng but all Tang Qing wanted to know about was the door.
“You seem to know about the door from the very start.” Gao Ming hesitated and asked, “Why keep that a secret from us?”
“Because people tend to go missing in nightmares with doors. Bai Feng’s children went missing in such a nightmare. If we had ntioned that earlier, Zhi Ge’s group wouldn’t have entered this nightmare.” Tang Qing sat across from Gao Ming. He showed Gao Ming the file. “The manor in the child’s dream does exist. It is north of Henshan. It is now an abandoned holiday villa.”
“The door exists in the real world?!” Gao Ming looked through the docunt. The pictures recorded the tragedy that happened in the manor that night. The nightmare owner’s family died horribly. The police discovery showed that the culprit was most likely the nightmare owner. However, the child had no motive.
“There should be a motive, one that normal people can’t see.” Tang Qing looked at the deeply unconscious nightmare owner. “Only a rare group of people can push open the door. They disappeared after they did so. So of them lost their minds.”
“Even Immortal Pharma can’t find the doors in real life?”
“Maybe the level five labs have them. I don’t have enough access to know that. Perhaps you’ll figure that out if you try hard enough.” Tang Qing put away his smile and whispered, “My sister wants to et you.”
