Samuel wasn't aware rhat soone was here to pick him up. He did inform everyone but he knew what his family was like. In their eyes, he was a responsible adult and had always been independent, they never really tried to ddle in his affair seeing hiw responsible he was.
Beside, he was used to travel around the globe ever since he beca an actor. It's not like they didn't care, they had their own way of showing affection and he was aware of it.
