If she had known he would show up, she wouldn’t have run around the film crew... Wouldn’t it have been better to find a place to hide?
What is this guy doing here instead of working properly?
Is he here for her?
Perhaps he saw through her thoughts again, the man let out a cold snort.
It was then that Daisy finally realized sothing was off with his voice.
"What’s wrong with your throat?"
As soon as she said it, it was like stirring up a hornet’s nest.
The man said coldly, "How do I know what you did to that night, infecting with so stupid virus?!"
Daisy widened her eyes a bit in surprise. "Caught a cold?"
No wonder he’s wearing a mask.
"Hmph."
How unlucky?
She rembered that when she woke up, her bad cold was already gone...
But to still co to such a remote place while being sick, what kind of determination is this?
Daisy gave him a fake smile and said, "It’s so cold here, there’s not even a hospital. You should go back and see a doctor soon!"
The man looked at her with disdain. Just hearing her lies made him feel contempt.
"Ahem." Daisy lightly coughed and slowly inched off the ground. She took a step back, glanced at the man squinting at her from the ground, and cautiously said, "I just rembered I haven’t washed my clothes. I’ll head back first!"
The man sitting on the ground remained silent.
Daisy tentatively took a step backward. Seeing that he didn’t speak, she imdiately turned on her heels and ran away.
A cold laugh ca from behind, sending shivers down Daisy’s spine, but she pretended not to hear it.

As soon as Elena returned to the dorm, she saw Daisy packing her luggage.
She walked over in shock, "Daisy, where are you going?"
Daisy put her computer into the suitcase without looking up. "Back to the city."
"Huh? Aren’t you staying with the film crew?"
"Not staying anymore." This place is uninhabitable now.
Elena saw her disheveled appearance and noticed she was drenched in cold sweat. It was as if she was a perfect example of the phrase "running away in a hurry," and she looked at her with a hint of doubt.
What happened? Suddenly heading back to Tsing City?
Elena sat on the edge of the bed, curiously sizing her up. Daisy zipped up the suitcase, walked over to touch Elena’s cheek, and sincerely said, "Sweetheart, I’ll go ahead first. I gave Emma Magus a hard ti a few days ago, so she probably won’t dare ss with you these days. If anyone in the crew bullies you, call , and I’ll help you scold them."
Elena looked at her cluelessly. This young lady, who was angelic on screen, was actually clueless outside of it. Anyone could give her a hard ti, but what would she do if Daisy left?
But she didn’t have the courage to stay here alone either.
Her own life was at stake.
Daisy reluctantly bid farewell to Elena and opened the door, only to see the presence of Edward Stephens, masked, blocking her doorway.
Daisy was so frightened that she yelled, almost biting her own tongue.
She widened her eyes at him. The man eyebrowed slightly, naturally extending his hand to take her suitcase, acting very gentlemanly.
"Heading back to the city? Perfect, I’m planning to go back too. Want a ride?"
"........."
Daisy looked at him with deadpan eyes.
The man stood in front of her, gazing at her serenely.
Daisy imdiately reached out to snatch her luggage back. "You go first, I’m not leaving."
Edward: "Heh heh."
Elena stood behind her, curiously and confusedly observing them. Daisy reluctantly held her ground, not wanting her image in Elena’s eyes to collapse in front of Edward. She set the suitcase on the ground and pulled the man by the hand, whispering, "Let’s talk!"
The man lazily let himself be dragged to the corner.
His tall figure leaned against the windowsill. He didn’t speak, just raised his chin slightly, looking down at her, telling her with his eyes — get to the point!
Daisy looked around, confird no one was there, then lowered her voice and said, "Edward Stephens, what on earth do you want?!"
The man crossed his arms, his dark eyes gazing at her without speaking.
Daisy felt pressured by his stare, but she braced herself and continued, "If you have a cold, go see a doctor. The temperature difference here can easily worsen a cold!"
"..." The man leaned against the corner, looking down at her, completely unmoved by her words.
Being stared at like this made Daisy feel very pressured and a bit guilty. She cleared her throat, "...Say sothing!"
What does staring at her like this an!!! Like she’s doing a monologue!
Edward said quietly, "Nothing to say."
His voice was hoarse, sounding faintly aggrieved.
What’s there to be aggrieved about! She was just asking him to go ho! Daisy thought to herself.
He glanced at her and said, "Anyway, you’re just a jerk."
She’s not a jerk!
It seed that he noticed the anger in her eyes. The man leaned against the windowsill, letting out a light chuckle as if he couldn’t be bothered to argue with her, ignored her, and walked away.
How outrageous, he doesn’t even want to talk to her!
Daisy pressed her lips together unhappily, grinding her teeth at his retreating figure.
Why does he look like he’s suffered a huge loss when he seed to enjoy it that night too!
Daisy bit her lip, watching Edward’s departing figure, feeling a bit frustrated.
No, very frustrated.
Back in the dorm room, she saw Elena leaning on the door fra, peeking curiously.
"What are you doing!"
She slapped her on the forehead.
What are you peeking at!
"Daisy, who was that handso guy?"
Handso guy, what handso guy? Just because he was wearing a mask, you think he’s handso?
What if he’s a beast.
Daisy glared at her, "Have you morized your lines? Go practice your lines! It’s because you gossip all the ti that you’re not famous, you know?!"
Elena stuck her tongue out at her, then quickly hid in her room upon seeing Daisy’s displeased expression.
"..."
Daisy climbed onto the bed, exhausted, hugging her pillow. It was ti for her daily regret of having imposed on Edward Stephens...
*
When Edward proactively ca looking for her, Daisy had no idea where to hide.
His accommodation was even directly opposite her dorm, and if she wasn’t careful, she would run into him when she opened the door.
He just hadn’t co looking for her again.
Emma Magus probably had a good relationship with both Edward Stephens and Ryan Smith, as every ti the crew ate together, the three of them were always seen together.
Their surprisingly familiar deanor made it clear they must have known each other for years.
While with Edward Stephens, Daisy always thought he had no friends. But now it seed he had no shortage of peers around him.
When hanging out with Ryan Smith and the others, Edward seed indifferent, rarely speaking, while Emma Magus and Ryan did all the talking. He just listened, wearing his mask.
There was a strange sense of distance, different from when he was with her.
