Daisy Ginger was feeding Erin while pondering how to take him away, completely oblivious to Jas Shelton’s odd behavior.
Swinging around with the child in front of his father, she wasn’t that bold.
When Erin finished eating, Daisy leaned closer and whispered to Christopher Woods, "I’ll take Erin to wash his face. Can you help tell Grandpa?"
Christopher glanced at the sticky little kid nestled in Daisy’s arms, his face full of grease paint. He was obedient in her embrace, looking nothing like his cold self at ho.
He acts one way outside, another way at ho, truly worthy of being this woman’s child.
"Elder Shelton is chatting with Edward. Don’t make any noise, just leave quietly."
Having Daisy’s family of three co was actually Elder Shelton’s way of expressing gratitude to Edward Stephens. Now that Edward had accepted, there was no problem if she left. After all, too many people knowing about the underwater tunnel project wasn’t good.
Christopher took it upon himself, and Daisy, holding Erin, thanked him gratefully.
"Then can you inform Grandpa for ? I’m heading out first."
Christopher nodded slightly in response.
With Erin in her arms, Daisy quietly tiptoed out towards the door.
Christopher, who had been sitting upright, suddenly felt a cold gaze fall upon his back, freezing his blood and making all his muscles tense as he dangerously looked towards the source of the stare.
He then t Edward Stephens’s cold, deep, black eyes that were as cold as jade.

Christopher was montarily stunned, instinctively releasing his hostility. Elder Shelton, seeing Edward staring at Christopher, imdiately introduced him, "This is the son of my comrade, Christopher Woods, Mr. Stephens..."
Before Elder Shelton could finish the introduction, Edward Stephens already stood from his chair, adjusted his cuff, and said in an indifferent voice, "Let’s end our chat here for today."
There were no emotions visible on his face, but Elder Shelton sensed a bit of displeasure from his tone.
What happened?
Weren’t they just getting along fine?
Elder Shelton was montarily taken aback by his capriciousness, but Edward gave him an out, his tone softening, "About the underwater tunnel, I’ll visit next ti. I’m not feeling well today, my apologies."
Hearing his tone, Elder Shelton knew the contract was almost certainly secured.
With this contract, the Shelton family could thrive for at least three generations, no matter what, thanks to the Tsing City underwater tunnel project in collaboration with the governnt.
He couldn’t help but smile broadly, instructing Christopher, "Little Chris, escort Mr. Stephens back, and rember to drive slowly."
Edward Stephens said no more and headed towards the exit.
Christopher quickly followed.

Daisy washed Erin’s face, and upon coming out, she saw Jas Shelton squatting by the sink smoking.
What was up with him? He ran out even faster than she did! How utterly spineless.
Daisy walked over and kicked him lightly with her toe, saying irritably, "What are you doing hanging around here? You left and Erin alone in the private room, sha on you!"
Jas Shelton was startled upon seeing her, "Why did you co out too?"
"I..."
Before Daisy could finish, Jas excitedly said, "Did that guy Edward also glare at you? Damn, that young guy must have issues, he kept looking at for no reason. Maybe he has a crush on !"
