Chapter 667: Chapter 657: Another Day Envying Dumbledore
When Kael found Snape, he was fiddling with an ancient stone basin on his desk in his office.
The basin’s surface was inscribed with a circle of Magic Text, with strands of pale blue light flowing within like fish.
Pensieve?
As Kael wondered why this object would appear here, he saw Snape swiftly cover the Pensieve with a velvet cloth and coldly asked, "What are you doing here!"
"Professor Dumbledore sent ," Kael said, "He’s asked
to act as your assistant and help Harry learn Occluncy."
"Feeling proud, are you?" Snape said with a drawl, "A sixteen-year-old master of Occluncy, what an impressive achievent, isn’t it.
"So you can’t wait to tell everyone, using it as a boastful capital? Such foolishness."
"You’re absolutely right, Professor Snape." Kael nodded in agreent, "I also think this decision isn’t great, but Headmaster Dumbledore insists I co, and I dare not say otherwise."
"You’re direct, Professor, speaking the truth." Kael gave a thumbs-up, "Don’t worry, Professor, I will relay your thoughts to the Headmaster."
"The Headmaster sent you?" Snape paused, assuming Kael was acting on his own initiative to help.
"Yes."
"I’ll go ask him right now." Snape stood up, "If you’re lying, I don’t mind giving you two weeks of detention."
"I wish I were lying." Kael said indifferently.
Snape had barely taken two steps when he noticed Kael glanced at the desk, making him stop imdiately and point towards the door.
"Leave! If Dumbledore tells
this is nonsense, you’ll be notified of detention before curfew."
"Alright." Kael said, disappointedly leaving Snape’s office.
He should have restrained his curiosity, knowing Snape was so wary.
...
That night, Kael naturally didn’t receive a detention notice, nor did he receive a ti to tutor Harry.
However, Kael wasn’t anxious at all, as Snape’s silence provided him with an excuse to slack off legitimately.
...
The next day, the holidays began.
Early in the morning, everyone packed their trunks and took a carriage to Hogsade Station.
Kael planned to visit Sirius in London, though he had signed the stay at school list a few days ago and couldn’t take the train, it wasn’t an issue.
He visited the Headmaster’s Office, luckily Dumbledore was still at school and hadn’t left.
A few minutes later, Kael appeared in the living room of No. 12 Grimmauld Place in London.
"Who is it... oh Kael, dear." Mrs. Weasley ca out of a room and asked in surprise, "Has today’s train arrived so soon?"
"Not at all, Mrs. Weasley, I used the Portkey Headmaster Dumbledore gave ." Kael said, pulling out a wool glove.
"I originally planned to go directly to St Mungo’s, but the Headmaster insisted I co here first."
"He’s right." Mrs. Weasley hugged Kael, "You should be on the train, not at St Mungo’s. If the Ministry of Magic saw you, it would be trouble... Co quickly, have you had breakfast? I made beef pies."
"Oh, I’ve already eaten."
Despite saying so, Mrs. Weasley still brought over a large plate of steaming pies.
"Haven’t you had breakfast yet?" Kael asked.
"I have." Mrs. Weasley said.
"And the others?"
"There’s no one else, just ." Mrs. Weasley took Kael to the kitchen and brought a jug filled with pumpkin juice.
"Everyone’s been busy lately, Arthur is at St Mungo’s protecting and looking after Sirius, Lupin hasn’t returned for a while, and others have work. Chris and Alastor visited last night, but they didn’t stay overnight."
"Wait... Who ca yesterday?" Kael lifted his head to ask.
"You heard correctly, it was your father." Mrs. Weasley said with a smile, "He officially joined the Order of Phoenix a month ago, invited by Dumbledore, and he was the first to discover Sirius and expelled the Death Eaters trying to break into the Ministry of Magic."
Kael wasn’t particularly surprised about Chris joining the Order of Phoenix, it seed inevitable.
He was more concerned about Mrs. Weasley’s latter words... Death Eaters attempting to infiltrate the Ministry of Magic.
So the Death Eaters headed for the Ministry of Magic that day?
Realizing she revealed too much, Mrs. Weasley quickly changed the subject.
"Eat quickly, while the pies are still warm." Besides saying this, she hurriedly left the kitchen.
Kael picked up a piece of pie that looked the smallest, eating and pondering Mrs. Weasley’s words.
It seed the Death Eaters originally intended to go to the Ministry of Magic that night, but discovered Sirius following them midway, along with the wizard nad Stodgy.
Following Voldemort’s orders, they wanted to eliminate Sirius... wait, was Voldemort present?
Kael frowned, then shook his head.
It’s unlikely for Voldemort to show up at that mont, and Harry ntioned he killed soone then, yet neither Mr. Weasley nor anyone else ntioned this news.
"This proves Voldemort was elsewhere at the ti, he must have commanded the Death Eaters through the Dark Mark."
