Chapter 47- The Rise (Part 5)

"Let’s go, Miss Violet! We can’t stay here! The entire place– AAAH!!" Teo tried to speak to Violet before he noticed a large chunk of rock falling right on his head.

Violet looked at the blocked path and then at the ground cracking before her eyes as she clenched her teeth and looked away. She had to make the tough decision of leaving. Knowing fully well how frustrating it was, she still knew it would be dangerous and reckless to try to find a way to Rein, at least not from inside the building.

Turning around, she looked at Teo. "Let’s get out of here and find a way for Rein to exit the building. He doesn’t have a lot of ti!"

Teo nodded before he chased after Violet as the two ran through the corridors toward the exit. Reaching the door, Violet quickly opened it as she tried to get out before the entire ceiling collapsed on her head.

At that mont, and out of nowhere, she stopped as she faced soone unexpected.

It was none other than the agents she had co with. Marco and Kara, along with several other agents, were out to investigate the location of the group.

The two sides stared at each other silently for a second, completely shocked and confused. But, the first to react was Violet, who looked behind her and then suddenly pushed them with her hands.

"Get out of the way!!" She yelled as she jumped out, pulling Teo with her. That entire section of the building swiftly collapsed a second later.

Violet leaped over the stairs, jumping on the ground as she pulled Teo away from the rubble and the destruction.

"Hah... Hah... Oh my god..." Before she could even take a mont to breathe, the earth beneath her started splitting open, trying to swallow her. So, Violet continued running through the street, trying to avoid all the many cracks forming every single second.

"Miss Violet!"

"I know!"

Looking over her shoulder, Violet could see that Marco and Kara had evaded the destruction and imdiately tried to chase her.

’The world is ending before our eyes, and your first thought is to try and chase ? Obsessed much?!’ Violet clenched her teeth as she leaped over a large crack and moved to the other side of the building.

At the sa ti, her eyes were locked on the building, trying to find the entrance where Rein could co out of.

As she was running, however, suddenly, the earth split before her eyes as a massive crack ford out of nowhere. The crack surrounded her from every angle, separating the piece of land she was standing on from everything else.

"... Shit." She turned around and looked at the two agents rushing toward her. "What should I do? What should I do?"

Violet was completely stuck in the middle, with only one direction she could face... The one that coincidentally made her clash with these agents.

There was no other choice but to get past them to actually find the path to the warehouse.

So, Violet imdiately grabbed her weapon. "Teo... One question... Can you fight?"

"... I-I can."

"Good. It seems that’s our only way."

Just a look into their eyes, these agents weren’t going to make it any easier.

*Inside the building*

*BANG* *BANG* *BANG*

Bullets rained down on Rein from every angle as he dashed forward at extre speeds. The world was shaking violently, and the entire building itself was collapsing. However, he still had to face countless agents trying to kill him.

*Swish*

His sword, however, always does the talking. With each move, he would slice the head of an enemy. At the sa ti, arrows ford around him automatically that shot in every direction, hitting their targets with imnse precision.

With his imnse power and intelligence, Rein was already a killing machine, but with the system, he beca an utter monster that could take on an army of n with ease. Even as the bullets shot everywhere, they couldn’t really aim properly in the darkness, while he could easily see them and kill them.

Leaping in the air, Rein dodged two bullets as he landed on top of another agent before he stabbed him in the throat, and then turned around and stabbed another one before he could do anything.

"Die!!!" The last agent tried to empty his gun in a panicked state. However, Rein disappeared like a ghost, only to appear behind him. The man froze and slowly stared back, his face filled with terror as if he was staring at death itself. Those cold, murderous eyes and the aura that seed to wrap around him like a coiling snake, suffocating him slowly.

That was the last thing he saw before everything went black and his body fell to the ground... lifeless.

Rein looked at the dead man before he turned around and quickly dashed forward. ’I don’t have ti to waste. Fuck, I’ve already wasted so much ti with these bastards. I need to find Violet’s family before they get buried under the rubble.’

Rushing down the stairs, Rein found himself in the main area of the warehouse. Luckily, the cracks still didn’t cause it to collapse. He looked left and right before he rushed toward the first door he could see.

No one was inside. Then, he checked another door, and another one after that... Nothing. At the sa ti, the clock was ticking for him. Each second he didn’t find the family was another second where their lives were at serious risk.

’Co on... Where are you?!’ He frowned as he rushed to another door. He had already checked several, and there was nothing. ’Where could he put them?’

Looking left and right, Rein tried to think for a second. He tried to put himself in Virgo’s shoes... Where could he truly put them. Where could he hide them?

His mind rushed through countless possibilities. ’Sowhere I wouldn’t expe-’

Before the thought event finished, Rein opened his eyes as he locked onto sothing he didn’t care for earlier. A place he didn’t imagine could be a possibility.

Since this was a warehouse, there were naturally many large shipping containers and crates. Even though he didn’t focus on it for a second, Rein realized that he was looking the wrong way completely.

’That bastard.’ He cursed inwardly.

So, without wasting a mont, he rushed toward the containers as he started kicking them up open with sheer force. The first one, nothing, the second one, also nothing... Then, when Rein was starting to question if his guess was wrong after all... He opened the third one.

"Mmmm!!"

"Mmmm!!!"

There, he saw them... Cain, Victoria, Emily, and Alex... all tied up. The mont they saw him, their eyes widened as they started humming loudly.

"Found you." Rein’s eyes lit up as he jumped into the container and approached them. "Is everyone ok?" He asked as he pulled his sword and started cutting their ropes quickly.

"Aaaah! Rein! Thank you! Thank you for coming!"

"What’s happening outside?"

"This isn’t the ti to talk. We need to get out of here quickly." Rein said as he crouched down to Emily to try and pull her tape off. At that mont, and out of nowhere, Rein felt a chill run down his spine.

Then, his eyes widened as he quickly looked back, only to see the barrel of a gun aid toward him... No. It was aid toward soone else.

’Emily!’

*BANG*
