Chapter 958
She suddenly pulled out a painting and handed it to Alexander Foster: "I never had the chance to give this to you, but I think it’s best that I do."
Alexander looked at the painting before him, but did not take it.
Sherry Sullivan let go, unrolling the painting herself.
From Chloe’s perspective, the painting was identical to the one that was ruined by Layla Lowell and Wanda Wesley that day.
It was a new painting, but the details were the sa.
Sherry maintained her smile, continuing: "Do you rember that day? After you rescued and brought to the hotel, I was still shaken. You told that for soone who dared to venture out alone, I was quite faint-hearted."
She laughed, completely ignoring Chloe.
"You know, at that ti I was thinking, if this man weren’t handso, I’d definitely have a retort ready. But then, you ignored , standing by the window on your own and even took a call. I was quite bored by then, so I painted this. Of course, this is not the original. The original was destroyed...by certain individuals."
Her gaze darted towards the young woman beside her.
Looking over, Chloe’s expression was calm, showing no change as she ate.
Truly more composed than average girls.
Sherry clenched her teeth, sitting next to Alexander: "Look, you were even wearing the sa clothes that day..."
Halfway through her sentence, she almost couldn’t say anymore.
The man’s gaze remained on Chloe Collins, as if he was neglecting her words.
She tried to place the painting in between them, but failed.
Alexander was serving Chloe so food, and she didn’t know what to do.
It was so annoying!
She bit her lip, thinking about how to attract Alexander’s attention, when she saw Chloe Collins get up. However, her face remained as impassive as ever.
"I’m going to leave first," she said to Alexander.
Alexander didn’t go with her.
Sherry was overjoyed, eagerly saying while holding the painting: "Alexander, look at this."
Just as she was about to lean in, he already stood up.
Alexander looked at her indifferently: "For ?"
Sherry nodded: "Yes, for you."
After Alexander took it, he imdiately tore it in half.
Sherry’s face changed: "How could you tear it?"
"Since you gave it to , it’s my decision how to deal with it," he said calmly.
Casually throwing the painting into the trash can next to him, he added: "Do you still rember the scene of sitting here with her just now?"
Sherry was puzzled by his question, slowly nodding: "Of course I rember."
"Draw that scene, you can set the price."
Sherry looked upset: "So you let watch for so long just so I can draw the two of you?"
"Not entirely."
Thinking about Chloe’s overly calm face just now, a smirk unconsciously moved to the corner of his mouth.
Sherry guessed the reason, probably because he wanted to see Chloe Collins get jealous.
Her heart churned with a bitter taste: "You find soone else to draw, I can’t do it."
She turned her back, hoping he would coax her.
But in the next mont, she heard footsteps.
Alexander was leaving!
She rushed forward and hugged him from behind.
"I like you! Break up with her, you two are not suitable."
Alexander frowned, his disgust showing unforgivingly from his eyes. He took off his jacket, and she let go at the sa ti.
Following that, Alexander tossed that jacket into the trash can.
The hope rising up in Sherry’s eyes shattered instantly.
Not to cover her...
He didn’t say a word, just walked ahead.
A silent rejection, hurting the most.
Sherry stared at the jacket she had touched, now cramd into a trash bin, feeling it was just like her being tossed away.
She crouched down crying, sobbing softly.
anwhile, not far from the flower bed, Mitchell Quincy who had co back and forth had caught the entire scene.
