Chapter 652
Tessa Collins said indifferently: "Don’t get too excited too soon. If that young lady agrees, there will be no chance for you."
Raine Nolan curled her lips: "Alright."
She didn’t believe at all that Chloe Collins would go on the show.
Just like the previous chemistry competition, Chloe Collins was not even willing to do an interview.
How could she do sothing as high-profile as going on a show?
She walked up to the second floor with a light step, looking for Rosalind Taylor to talk about this matter.
Just as she reached the doorway, she suddenly heard the sound of an argunt and imdiately stopped.
Rosalind Taylor’s voice faintly ca from the doorway.
"I’m not asking for anything else; my son is still young. Can you co back and hold him?"
"Hello? Hello!"
She pushed the door open and went in, only to see Rosalind suddenly turn around and hurriedly wipe away her tears.
She quickly walked over.
"Mom, did dad scold you?"
Rosalind shook her head, turned to her, and said: "He’s back."
Raine Nolan was dissatisfied: "I don’t know what got into dad. Before my younger brother was born, he was so eager. Now that he’s here, he hasn’t even co ho to see him for days. Also, you’re still in confinent. As a husband, shouldn’t he spend more ti with you?"
Rosalind’s eyes were dim, and within them, there was a trace of resentnt.
"He’s still blaming ."
So scenes flashed before her eyes, stinging them.
Afterwards, she slowly closed her eyes, gradually suppressed her emotions, and said to Raine Nolan: "Take your brother out. I want to sleep for a while."
"Mom, let tell you sothing happy."
"What?"
"I might be going on a show, the one that Robert Foster is recording."
Rosalind frowned: "You want to enter the entertainnt circle?"
Raine Nolan said: "Not really, I just like that show and want to take a look."
Rosalind said: "That’s easy. Money can solve everything."
"No, who am I? They invited themselves. Just now, that show’s producer ca, and Aunt said she recomnded ."
Rosalind thought for a while and said directly: "He ca to find Chloe Collins, right?"
Raine Nolan was shocked: "I haven’t said it yet. How did you know?"
"Isn’t it obvious? That show has that..., and if they bring Chloe Collins over, it’s for creating a topic."
Raine Nolan pouted: "She definitely won’t go."
"Nothing is absolute. Haven’t you learned your lesson from eating so much loss at her hands?" Rosalind’s voice was weak and spiritless.
Raine Nolan’s good mood was extinguished halfway.
She said: "Why is it always her that gets the good stuff?"
Rosalind laughed: "That’s not absolute either. No matter how capable she is, she won’t be able to enjoy it."
Her eyes seed distant, as if recalling sothing from a long ti ago.
Raine Nolan didn’t understand her aning: "Mom, what does ’not being able to enjoy it’ an?"
Rosalind looked at her, held her hand, and said: "Raine, you’re different from her. Your days will only get better, while she doesn’t have that fate."
"What do you an?"
Rosalind smiled: "One day, you’ll understand."
"Mom, don’t keep in suspense. Tell now."
Rosalind had no intention of revealing the secret, so she waved her hand and let her carry the baby out.
Raine Nolan knew that if her mother didn’t want to say it, no amount of questioning would get an answer, so she had to temporarily suppress her doubts.
Once she left, Rosalind looked out the window and murmured: "Only those with a long life can be the ultimate winners. Even if he doesn’t love , in the end, the person beside him will be , not you, and your daughter will be the sa..."
