Chapter 1700

He lowered his head, pretending to amuse his great-grandson with a doll.

Chloe didn’t say anything, watching the scene with an involuntary faint smile on her lips.

She didn’t continue the topic, instead, she fed the peeled grapes to the little girl.

The little girl swallowed them in one bite, her cheeks puffing out, holding a balloon in her hand, and offering to share it with her.

Her mouth turned up slightly, lovingly touching the girl’s face.

In her mind, she could already imagine the scene after her own child was born.

She was very fond of these two children, even though they hadn’t spent much ti together.

She heard that the children’s mother had initially entered into a contractual marriage with Edgar Foster just to fool the Master, but sohow, it had turned into reality, and after the children were born, their relationship improved.

As she casually thought about these things, she suddenly heard the sound of cars rolling on the road and her expression brightened.

"They’re back."

"Really? They’ve returned?"

Everyone ca out of the kitchen, and Evelyn Thompson even set down her spoon imdiately to go out and look.

At the doorway, three cars slowly drove in, indeed it was Alexander and the others.

Chloe stood still, watching him walk towards her with a smile.

Though it had only been two days since they last saw each other, it felt like three autumns had passed.

When she leaned on his shoulder, the heart suspended in her throat also fell back into place.

"Are you tired? These past two days?" he asked softly, touching the hair at her temple.

Chloe smiled, "Shouldn’t I be the one asking that?"

He too smiled slightly.

"Alright, alright, let’s not all stand here, the food is ready, let’s go in," Evelyn called out.

The whole family walked inside, every face wearing a smile.

This ti they had returned with good news.

They said that through a series of rescue asures, public opinion had gradually beco neutral, and many people continued to support their vaccine.

Among them, not only had many vaccinated people co forward to testify, but more powerfully, Alexander had casually chosen a batch from the vaccines during a live dia interview and injected himself to prove the vaccine’s harmlessness.

It wouldn’t be long before the official vaccine test results would be announced.

As for Chase Carrington, more substantial direct evidence was still needed to save him.

At the mont, this outco at least ensured that the company’s image wouldn’t continue to deteriorate.

This was indeed a cause for celebration, and the Master specially ordered soone to dig out the fine wine he had brewed by hand in the past to celebrate.

Originally, he had intended to save this wine for Alexander and Robert Foster’s wedding next year, but unable to resist his current joy, he imdiately dug out a jar.

The joy of this al dispelled the gloom that had enveloped the Fosters for the past two days.

After the al, Alexander fulfilled his promise and took her to see Chase.

Not having been out for several days, the street scenes had changed from a few days ago, everything quiet, at a glance it looked like a deserted city.

Chase was currently out on bail, living in a private residence in the Capitol.

All of this should have been what she was enduring.

When they arrived, Chase was sitting in the courtyard, engrossed in a thick book.

Seeing Chloe, he stood up, a gentle smile appearing on his face.

The scent of cooking and the sound of stir-frying food drifted from the courtyard.

"Haven’t you eaten yet?"

"Oh, it’s your brother, he wanted to eat together. He insisted on cooking a al for himself, and I couldn’t stop him."

Seeing that the two had started talking, Alexander said, "I’ll go help him out."

He intentionally left them ti to be together, to have a good chat.
