Chapter 1673

The sound of cannon and gunfire, which had been ringing out since morning, had tapered from relentless to sporadic, a sign that the enemy’s morale was dwindling.

Alexander Foster reassured her, "He has been able to live on this side for so long and even established his own kingdom, proving his capability is exceptional. Don’t worry, he will win."

Chloe Collins felt a warmth in her heart and smiled, "I wonder how he managed to conquer those apes? They seem to have not undergone the BDR experint, yet each one is more human-like than the next."

In her mind, she still rembered the dozen apes that had escorted them in the morning, their every move just like humans.

Even two of them knew simple sign language.

"When he cos back, take your ti and talk with him. He will be very willing to tell you."

Alexander Foster chatted casually with her and, taking the opportunity, scooped a small spoonful of porridge and brought it to her lips. Seeing her eat it subconsciously, he felt sowhat relieved.

Others’ wives tend to gain weight during pregnancy, but his own Chloe was only growing a belly, her face still slim and heart-wrenchingly delicate.

After she had consud nearly half a bowl of porridge, his hands didn’t stay idle; he picked up an apple and began peeling it.

Thus, ti passed quite quickly.

At a little past eight in the evening local ti, the main force finally returned.

The trumpet of victory sounded, reverberating from afar, drawing many people out to welco them.

When everyone saw a legion of apes lined up and marching in with the army, jaws dropped in astonishnt.

They were unaware that the Beraenian Army included apes among its ranks; they had at most heard of military dogs.

Even more astonishing was the sight of a large ape riding alongside the general on horseback!

"Look, that ape is wearing human clothes!"

"My God, its gaze is so majestic, just like a grand general!"

"Whose pet could it be to receive the sa treatnt as the general?"

"Don’t you know yet? We only won this battle with the help of the apes. This place was retaken with their assistance. The apes have beco enlightened!"

The clamorous discussions were everywhere, countless gazes fixating on Timmy Collins.

Chloe stood on the balcony, watching this scene from afar. She felt a sentint akin to a tearful, moved old mother.

As soon as Timmy saw her, he imdiately leaped off the horse, using the cars parked by the roadside as stepping stones. Within monts, he bounced up to the hotel’s air conditioning unit and soon reached the balcony.

Arriving in front of Chloe, he took off his hat and tossed it to the side, dancing around beside her energetically, like a child.

Alex watched their interaction quietly from the side, his gaze tender and calm as he observed without interruption.

After Timmy danced around for a good while, Chloe took out the potato chips she had prepared in advance, "You haven’t had these in a long ti, right?"

Timmy adored various kinds of snacks, especially potato chips.

He chuckled with a click of his tongue, accepted them, but didn’t tear into them imdiately, instead stuffing them into his clothes.

Chloe said, "I’m allowing you to eat."

In the past, she had always limited his snack intake, so he developed the habit of hoarding snacks.

She repeated her previous statent, "Today, there’s no need to save them. You can eat."

She took out the potato chips again, intending to help him open the packaging.

Just then, Timmy gestured: I’m a father now. I’ll save the snacks for my child.

Chloe: "..."

She was suddenly petrified.

Alex understood the sign language and slightly raised his eyebrows, quite surprised.

After a mont, Chloe recovered, "When did this happen?"

Timmy: It was recent.

After signaling, he made a contemptuous gesture towards Alex: I beat you to it.

Alex remained indifferent.
