Chapter 1672
In just a short while, the leader of the Mutated People realized that the Gorilla Unit was the Beraenian Army’s reinforcent. He imdiately ordered their capture.
At his command, everyone on site fell silent.
Chloe Collins saw Timmy Collins’s expression change in an instant from obedient and mischievous to sharp and domineering. The way he slowly turned around was reminiscent of an emperor who ruled over everything.
His deep and fierce eyes looked straight at the leader, apparently with a plan in mind. He then signaled back to Chloe, "You all leave. I’ve got this, don’t worry."
After signalling, he suddenly sprung up, stepping on the shoulders of several people, and in a flash, he was back on horseback.
The crowd was stunned by such agile movents, and slowly, so Mutated People began to doubt his origins.
"Could it be that it’s also a Mutated Being?"
Among the dumbfounded crowd, soone raised the question.
Imdiately soone remarked, "I’ve heard that in the early days of the BDR experint, when there were no volunteers willing to cooperate with live experints, they used gorillas. Could it be that all these gorillas have been altered by the BDR?"
This statent evoked fear in many.
The situation at hand seed about right to that point.
If ordinary people could beco several tis stronger by taking the drugs, then wouldn’t these gorillas, already more physically powerful, beco even more formidable?
Seeing the fearful expressions on the people’s faces, the leader of the Mutated People scoffed and shouted loudly, "Bring out all the real weapons and capture this gorilla alive for ! Spare only that woman’s life; no rcy for the rest! There will be a reward for the ritous!"
The king-like proclamation echoed non-stop among the mountains, imdiately boosting the morale of the soldiers.
At this mont, however, a long horn sound rang out. Everyone looked and saw a chimpanzee climb a tree and blow a horn!
The sound of the drumming ca from all directions, and soon enough, a swarm of chimpanzees could be seen gathering like ants!
The scene was magnificent and awe-inspiring, raising excitent and deep respect in the onlookers.
The thunderous noise made many Mutated People soldiers consider retreating.
"They’re just beasts. No one is to retreat. Kill them all!" the leader of the Mutated People ordered.
The war was on the brink of ignition!
Scenes of human-ape battles, previously only witnessed in movies, were now being wildly played out on this stretch of land.
About a dozen gorillas jumped over in formation, taking hold of the horses ridden by Alexander Foster and another person, leading them away on a path, taking them away from the scene.
...
Six hours later, inside a star-rated hotel in the Safe Zone.
The morning’s lee had lasted for several hours. The Safe Zone, which had been taken by the Mutated People, was quickly recovered by the Gorilla Unit. It was temporarily safe and undergoing simple restoration work.
The sll of gunpowder lingered, filling every room. The hotel staff, pushing their carts, were cleaning, spraying plenty of perfu which was hardly effective.
The complex odors wafted over, causing Chloe to retch a few tis.
At ho, she rarely suffered from morning sickness.
Alexander felt a pang in his heart and a frown creased his forehead at the sight.
"How about so porridge?"
Chloe waved her hand: "I can’t swallow any."
She looked out the window, which faced a major road. All vehicles entering and leaving the Safe Zone had to pass there.
"Isn’t it over yet?"
She had been escorted back that morning and had been waiting here ever since for news from Timmy Collins.
In the anti, all she knew was that the Beraenian Military was greatly encouraged and had sent many reinforcents to suppress the rebellion caused by the Mutated People.
