Chapter 1643
Raine Nolan was startled and quickly bowed her head, "Leader is wise."
"They still don’t know this; they think what I gave them is the antidote. How foolish," he laughed heartily.
Seeing his mood improving even further, Raine rembered the task her mother had entrusted to her.
While massaging his legs, she spoke softly, "You just said you would avenge Milton White by killing Alexander Foster and Chloe Collins in Gelia, is that true?"
With a noble gaze, Valleys glanced downward at her and said somberly, "What are you trying to say?"
These few words were tinged with danger.
Raine, frightened, imdiately knelt down and lowered her head, "I just rembered sothing very important."
"What is it?" His narrow eyes squinted slightly.
"It’s... it’s about Chloe Collins’s mother! I heard that her mother, Joy Taylor, was once the core researcher of the BDR experint. She was especially talented, and if she is still alive, she would surely develop the antidote. I am worried that this person will disrupt Leader’s plans!"
Valleys’s voice grew taut, "A dead person, that’s all."
But Raine detected the probing in his words, deliberately said to make her reveal more.
She said directly, "I heard that Joy Taylor isn’t dead at all. She’s just in hiding. As for where, I have no idea. I’m concerned that if you target Chloe Collins this ti, Joy Taylor, as her mother, will not sit idly by upon seeing it. If she cos out of hiding for her daughter..."
"Hmph, just a woman who can’t even escape, not to be feared," he shifted backward.
Raine’s heart pounded in terror, and her eyes shifted, from his words confirming that Joy Taylor was in his hands.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have said "can’t escape."
She wanted to coax more information out of him, but the words stuck in her throat.
She was afraid that a wrong word would cost her her life at Valleys’s hands.
So she had to pause for now.
Thinking about the impending deaths of Chloe Collins and the others, she revealed a pleased smile, lowered her head, and massaged Valleys’s legs with more vigor.

Beraenia.
A night passed, and dawn began to break.
Chloe heard so noise and frowned, finding it annoying. She instinctively leaned to the side, face brushing against sothing.
But it was just the pillow.
Glancing over, she saw that the spot next to her was empty, still holding a faint warmth.
The man had gotten up.
She straightened up to look around and found no one in the bedroom either.
Outside, there were voices conversing. It seed like Jas Cunningham and the others had already arrived.
She tidied herself up quickly and opened the door to go out.
During this process, her mind flashed back to the events of the previous night. It seed that the man hadn’t cald down even at bedti.
The weather here was warm at the end of spring, so she dressed lightly in a sleeveless long dress and went outside.
Upon opening the door, the several people outside who were talking turned to look at her all at once.
She looked at Jas Cunningham, "Team Captain Cunningham, long ti no see."
Jas Cunningham’s skin had darkened quite a bit since she last saw him, and he now sported a beard, giving him a rather weather-beaten look, but his eyes were clear and spirited.
After her greeting, his gaze lingered on her for several seconds as if he was a bit stunned before he hurriedly nodded, "Uh, yes, it has been a long ti, Miss Collins. You’ve changed quite a lot."
Chloe offered a faint smile and glanced at Alexander Foster next to her, noticing that his expression was inexplicably gloomy. His dark eyes were filled with displeasure, and his brows were furrowed.
One look, and she knew he was still upset about last night.
She felt a bit weary, not really in the mood to console him anymore.
