Chapter 1581
Joy Taylor appeared in his dream, her face ssed with disappointnt, refusing to utter a word to him.
However, the scene shifted, and he saw another woman with her back turned to him, covered in wounds, desperately calling for help.
This image jolted him awake. He looked at the ti and found that he had only slept for less than half an hour.
He was drenched in cold sweat, weak, and even felt dizzy when he tried to get up.
Seeing this, the butler said to him: "Sir, you look very unwell, why don’t you go to the hospital? You’ve not been resting properly these past few days."
Tristan Collins shook his hand dismissively, "As you said, I’m just fatigued. That’s no big deal. Let’s go check on him."
The butler nodded and followed him down.
Just when they reached the basent door, they saw that the main gate was wide open as the cold wind blew in.
A chill went down Tristan’s spine, and he quickened his steps to go inside.
The room where Milton White was staying was ajar too!
"Young lady!"
He called out to the child, but received no response.
When he entered, there was no one there.
There were several bills and a note on the bed.
[Thank you for your hospitality.]
"Sir, it seems the person has already left."
Tristan’s face turned pale, and he imdiately took out his phone to dial Milton White’s number.
The call went through.
"Co back here, I need to ask you sothing!" He shouted.
However, the person on the other end calmly said, "Uncle Collins, I’ll explain everything later. For now, it’s better this way, for everyone. Please trust ."
"You..."
"Beep, beep, beep."
The busy tone ca abruptly.
Anger surged in Tristan, and unable to bear it, he fainted.
When he woke up again, he was in the hospital ward, with his faithful butler and secretary by his side.
Seeing him awake, the two hurriedly got up to check on him.
"Help up." said Tristan in a deep voice.
"Sir, don’t worry, you’re just exhausted. The doctor said you need to rest well. Otherwise, even though you are not ill now, the continuation of this could lead to health issues."
Knowing what was on his mind, the butler suggested, "Sir, shall I book tickets to Orlando now? I suspect, Mr. White must have gone ho."
Tristan pulled a long face and sighed deeply, suppressing his discomfort, "Forget it. Since he won’t discuss it, even if I go there, I won’t get a truthful answer."
He intuitively felt that Milton White was keeping sothing to himself and had his reasons for not divulging the information.
He was worried that his insistence on finding out the truth could harm Joy, so he dared not take the risk.
What brought him relief was the certainty that Joy was still alive.
Otherwise, Milton could have simply said he didn’t know, or that she was already dead.
But he didn’t. This further corroborated his guess!
As long as she was alive, there was still a chance!
Gathering his thoughts, he said, "Imdiately arrange so balanced als to be brought here."
He needed to take care of his health, he couldn’t afford any mishap. He must wait for Joy’s return!
The butler hurriedly went to make arrangents.
Seeing that his condition was stable, the secretary finally dared to distract him with work matters: "Mr. Collins, everything has been upside down on the outside over the past two days since you’re ho."
Tristan felt that currently nothing was more important than Joy, so he didn’t panic on hearing this.
"Go on," he said, closing his eyes slightly to conserve energy.
"Well, the other day, the Fosters and Carrington Enterprise announced the establishnt of a multinational business association. On the very sa day, many important figures announced their joining. Among them were several elders from the Alliance who had initially opposed Milton White’s continuing as the heir after the incident and, out of rage, quit the Alliance and went over to Alex."
