Chapter 1450

Around ten, everyone retired to their respective rooms for rest.

Next door in the detached villa, Chloe Collins finished her water and habitually headed towards her room on the first floor.

Opening the door, she noticed everything was empty, then she rembered she was now married, so she turned around and went upstairs.

Alexander Foster ca out of the study room at the sa ti, holding in his hand a docunt he had just printed out.

"Here’s what you asked for. Have a look."

Chloe took the docunt. Warm to the touch, a few words were printed on the paper: D’Swiss Hotel.

"Hmm? You got it all sorted?"

"Just a few minutes’ work."

Giving it a glance, she quipped, "No wonder it’s going out of business. What kind of na is this?"

"The original owner of the hotel was nad Hartley Hart. The hotel was nad after him."

With that, he leaned in and kissed her, saying, "I’m going to take a shower. Take your ti with it."

Chloe nodded, reading the information as she walked into the bedroom.

The thick stack of docunts contained information about two hotels, both of which she had discussed with Alexander today. She had planned to do so research on these hotels herself when she returned ho, but he had already taken care of it for her.

The D’Swiss Hotel was the ill-fated hotel Austin Thornton spoke of. It had a murderer case. The news reported that a husband plotted a trap in the hotel to kill his wife in an attempt to fake an accident for insurance fraud. He then frad the hotel for the incident. Fortunately, the truth had been discovered, saving the hotel’s reputation.

Nonetheless, the damage to the hotel was irreparable. Ever since then, the hotel’s performance had been steadily declining. In just three months, it had been transford from the hotel with the best performance in the area into a feared ’haunted house’.

Nothing eerie had actually happened there, but most people were superstitious about such things. Competitors seized the opportunity to spread rumors, causing a significant negative impact, and soon, the hotel lost all its business.

As the hotel was large-scale, the fixed costs of maintaining its operations were also high. After barely scraping by for a month, the owner succumbed to financial difficulties and swiftly sold the hotel.

The other hotel was the Blessings Hotel, located on the sa street. Both hotels were of the sa size and class. However, in the past, D’Swiss significantly outperford Blessings.

The decline of Blessings wasn’t sudden, but rather the result of poor managent. For several years, business had been dwindling. It had been relying on lucrative collaborations with the entertainnt industry to stay afloat. However, this year, it finally couldn’t hold on any longer and had to be sold.

Chloe took another look at the exact locations of both hotels.

Although they were both on the sa street, D’Swiss held a superior geographical position. Located near a large comrcial center, traffic was convenient, and the parking lot was sizeable. It had advantages over the Blessings Hotel, which was situated at the western end of the street, in many respects.

After going through all the information, her mobile phone buzzed with a new notification.

Two days ago, Chase Carrington had added her to the senior managent group chat of Carrington Enterprise.

Now, one of the Vice Presidents, Austin Thornton, was @ ing her and Clara Carrington in the group chat, informing them of the hotel selection process taking place tomorrow.

She recalled the secret eting between the two a few nights ago.

This so-called lottery allocation was just a formality. No matter how she picked, she would likely end up with D’Swiss Hotel.

Preventing this little sche was not difficult.

But she didn’t do so.

After analyzing, she was more interested in D’Swiss Hotel.

As for their little secret, she planned to save it for future use.

If she exposed it now, it wouldn’t be impactful enough.

Colin Carrington considered the position of President as his for sure. Even if this secret was revealed, he would go to great lengths to protect Clara Carrington.
