After Alex proposed a eting, Chase ntioned that he was planning to co to the Capitol for business and agreed to visit the Fosters.
The Foster Mansion buzzed with more activity that night.

At that point, Master Foster wasn’t aware that Chase was Chloe Collins’s biological father, so he thought Chase was simply visiting him.
By dusk, a subdued yet luxurious vehicle slowly sailed into the Foster Mansion.
The butler personally opened the car door, displaying the utmost respect.
Before long, a dignified middle-aged man disembarked from the backseat. Standing tall and commanding, his broad shoulders exuded an attractive sense of righteousness that was reminiscent of a youthful military career. His movents were swift, efficient, and emanated an air of composed grandeur.
Despite being close to fifty, Chase appeared as invigorated as a man in his mid-thirties. His teasing looks hinted at his handso charm from his youth, along with a high, straight nose, thin lips, and sharp facial contours that garnered a few discreet glances from the hired help.
Charles Carrington ca to stand by him, behaving obediently like an 18-year-old youth, "Dad, let’s head inside."
Chase nodded and took steps toward the entrance.
Evelyn Thompson and her spouse, as well as Sophia Ford and her spouse, all ca to greet Chase, along with Alex standing among them.
After a few pleasantries, Chase’s gaze settled on Alex’s face, making a subtle sweeping search behind him as though expecting soone.
Alex took the initiative to greet him, "Welco, Uncle Carrington."
Chase smiled lightly and was about to answer when a dynamic voice from the old man rang from behind.
"Young Carrington!"
The old man’s tone suggested that he still saw Chase as a child.
Master Foster was a generation older than Chase, and during his youth, he frolicked together with Chase’s peers, like a big brother playing with his bunch of younger siblings.
Chase held a clear respect for him, acknowledging him with a slight nod, "Master Foster, it’s been a long while since we last t. How have you been?"
"Just your arrival makes this old man feel entirely well, even if I wasn’t before!" Master Foster laughed heartily.
Chase remarked, "Master Foster, you jest."
"Enough of standing around, the food is ready. Let’s go," announced Master Foster.
Evelyn Thompson and William Foster lagged behind. Unable to help herself, she whispered into her husband’s ear, "He really does resemble a bit. Those eyes of his, when beaming, are particularly like Chlo-Chlo, charming."
William Foster: "Huh? Charming?"
"Yes, charming, good-looking."
After dropping that line, Evelyn Thompson moved onward.
William Foster frowned slightly, then suddenly smiled at the shining wall beside him. His reflection showed his eyes curving up like crescent moons.
Indeed, he was the charming one.
Once everyone seated, Master Foster, occupying the main seat, introduced Alex and the younger generation to Chase.
Alex, of course, needed no introduction. The focus was on introducing Cherry Foster and the others.
As introductions rolled on, Chase glanced at the doorway again, a searching look in his eyes as if looking for soone.
Noticing but saying nothing, Alex offered, "Uncle Carrington, taste this dish. It’s one of her favorite dishes."
Upon hearing that, Chase showed imdiate interest. He nodded, picked up a piece of at, and popped it in his mouth.
Evelyn Thompson chid in with a smile, "How is it? Does it taste good? This is a dish that Alex made himself."
Chase looked sowhat surprised, "You can cook?"
Alex replied calmly, "I learned it from my grandma."
Charles Carrington exclaid, "Grandma Foster is a renowned gourt. Dad, you should rember that."
