Chapter 1258

Chloe Collins gave a sigh of relief and smiled, "Let’s go for a drive, shall we?"

The mont she stepped out of the main gate, she felt a sudden firm grip on her hand, piercing pain in her flesh.

The boy beside her was dressed in a white shirt and light blue trousers, looking as fresh as a prince from Icelandia. He covered his eyes with his hand, squinting against the daylight.

Usually a two-hour journey was stretched to three hours by Chloe, primarily driving around aimlessly to allow him to enjoy roadside scenery and change his mood.

There were barely any people on these green scenic lanes, adding an extraordinary charm. Dean Collins sat beside her on the passenger seat, twisting his neck to keep staring out of the window for a long ti, not turning at all.

She knew, deep down, he yearned for the outside world, being held back only by an invisible force that made it difficult for him to take the first step.

As the night fell, the car slowly entered the bustling city center filled with people.

Dean was no longer watching the outside. With the car window closed, he hung his head low, intently staring at his fingernails, emanating unease.

"Tommy, let’s go for dinner. There’s a great restaurant here. They serve your favorite dishes."

While she spoke, she was looking for a parking spot.

After an awkward silence, with no response from Dean, she turned to look at him.

Dean was silently fiddling with his fingers.

Chloe Collins pondered and considered wrapping up for the day. After all, managing to step out of the house was a big first step, there was no need to rush things.

Just then, her phone rang, it was Jerry River.

Him calling her was quite unusual.

As she picked up, a man’s voice possessing a cunning quality echoed from the other end, he chuckled, "I heard from Mr. Qian, you guys are intending to poach ?"

Chloe Collins responded mysteriously, "So, what’s next?"

"If you want to negotiate in detail, co over to my place now, you, and Alexander Foster, anyone less, I won’t et."

Chloe Collins didn’t imdiately accept the offer, she replied: "Master Bush, why such enthusiasm? This hardly seems like your style."

"Master? Young lady, I was a colleague of your mother. You should call uncle!"

"Oh? Doesn’t seem like it." Chloe Collins nonchalantly spoke.

Jerry River choked for a mont, soon regained his composure and replied: "Anyway, I am a bit interested now, it’s better for you guys to co over imdiately. Otherwise, you might not have another chance!"

"I don’t have ti now."

"Well then, let’s drop the matter!"

Jerry River hung up abruptly.

Chloe Collins casually removed her headset, her face calm and unruffled.

Dean turned to look at her, asked, "Soone called you."

"Mhm, an unimportant person."

"Who?"

"A forr colleague of my mom, the holder of X-5." She casually ntioned.

Dean’s eyes widened a bit, he stayed silent for a while then said, "He has important matters to discuss, go see him."

At this mont, Chloe Collins spotted a parking spot, hearing his words, she was surprisingly satisfied.

Then he said, "I...I’m going with you."

Chloe Collins blinked in surprise, she subsequently smiled slightly, "Sounds good."

It was rare for him to take the initiative to et soone, thus she was pleasantly surprised.

The car turned around and headed in the direction of Bush Manor.

Alexander Foster had arrived at the Bush Manor a bit earlier and sent her a ssage.

Approximately ten minutes later, she arrived too.

"Let’s go, let’s go in together." She unbuckled her seatbelt.

The mont Dean opened the car door, he abruptly gripped the handle tightly, his head suddenly lowered, as he clutched it with his other hand.

"What’s wrong?!"

"I..."
