Chapter 1196

Layla Lowell, sucking on a lollipop, suddenly said, "I still don’t understand why I don’t have X. My teacher was also one of the team mbers, and I’ve not only never received it, but I had never even heard of it before."

She couldn’t help but think about this every ti she had so free ti, but she just couldn’t figure it out.

Wanda Wesley said, "Don’t think about it anymore, none of us know what happened back then. Everything we heard are just rumors, no one can guarantee that they are entirely true."

Upon hearing this, Chloe Collins deeply glanced at the two of them, and didn’t say anything.

After what happened with Hailey Spence, she sent people to continue searching for their teachers, because she held onto a glimr of hope.

She hoped that they were only tricking people into thinking they were dead.

But until she had so leads, she wouldn’t tell them about this, to avoid causing unnecessary joy.

-

In the afternoon, Chloe Collins went to Cloudscape Enterprise, taking a few people from the Comic Innovation Club to continue refining Little Alita.

Alexander Foster arrived at six in the evening, during dinner ti.

The company employees were leaving one after another, but the lights in the laboratory were still on.

Devin Lewis, who was walking out with his head down reading a file, almost ran into Alexander Foster.

"Mr. Foster," he quickly stopped.

"Why are you in such a rush?"

"Oh, Miss Collins said they are going to work overnight tonight. I thought it’s about ti, so I want to prepare dinner for them." With that, he sniffed and said, "Mr. Foster, have you been drinking?"

Alexander Foster did not reply, only asking calmly, "Why the rush?"

"Oh, Miss Collins plans to take Little Alita to an exhibition next month. There’s not much ti left, and they have lots of preparation work to do."

After speaking, he noticed sothing odd and asked, "Mr. Foster, didn’t you know about this?"

The look in his eyes seed to say: it seems like you two aren’t very close.

Alexander Foster’s face remained expressionless, and he waved him off to continue his work.

Devin Lewis joked, "It is normal, won all have their little secrets, sotis they would rather tell their girlfriends than their boyfriends, but I didn’t expect she didn’t tell you about this."

Alexander Foster stayed silent.

Feeling that the air around Alexander Foster was a bit off, Devin Lewis zipped his mouth and quickly left.

Alexander Foster swiped his face and entered the laboratory, and through the transparent glass walls, he saw a girl surrounded by a couple of guys. She was touching the robot’s body, explaining sothing seriously, her eyes shining with tiny, brilliant lights.

Those n, all older than her, were listening to her like elentary school students, none of them showed any signs of impatience, and were all focused, so were even taking notes.

In the span of a few minutes, they moved around three tis, constantly adjusting the little robot.

By the ti she turned her gaze towards him, it was already fifteen minutes later.

Alexander Foster gave her a small smile, giving off an air of patient waiting.

Soon after, those n left one by one, and as they passed by, they all looked at him.

"No wonder our junior was suddenly speeding up the process, it wasn’t to let us go eat, it was because her boyfriend is here." Soone laughed.

"Hey, what should we call him... he seems older than us."

"But our junior is younger."

They were muttering about what to call him.

Lucas Locke thought about it and took the initiative to say, "Hi, we’re from the Capitol University Innovation Club. You must be our junior’s boyfriend."

"Hold on, maybe not." Soone reminded him.

Only then did Lucas Locke realize that he may have misspoken, and said, "Sorry."

Alexander Foster said, "It’s fine, you didn’t say anything wrong."
