"Chapter 1179
The next day, just as Chloe Collins arrived at the base of the Innovation Club, she saw several people huddled together looking downcast.
"What’s happened, everyone?"
Seeing her arrival didn’t lift their spirits much.
Lucas Locke shrugged: "Couldn’t borrow it."
"Yesterday, we went to apply for the use of the equipnt and got a ssage this morning that it wasn’t approved. They said non-teaching use was against the rules. Even Mr. White couldn’t do anything about it, saying it was rely a formality and amounted to deception."
"I knew it wouldn’t be that easy." Everyone seed pretty downcast.
The two mbers of the Comic Club in charge of preparing the comic material silently noted down the scene in front of them, along with a few keywords, for use when they officially started writing later.
Chloe Collins said, "It’s okay, you guys just keep doing your thing, I’ll make a phone call."
Lucas Locke: "Junior, do you have a solution?"
As Chloe dialed a number, she answered him: "We’ll use the best. In a few days, the batch of equipnt I ordered will arrive, and then we’ll go to Cloudscape to do hands-on training."
Because they had to wait for several days, she had asked them to borrow equipnt from the school in the anti. Surprisingly, they couldn’t.
Heijii picked up the phone quickly.
"Boss, what’s up?"
"When we applied for funds at the laboratory, didn’t we make it clear that this equipnt is for public use at the school?"
"Yes, it’s for use by all at Capitol University, anyone can apply as long as it’s reasonable."
"They might be keeping it for exclusive use at the lab. Go and ask. If that’s the case, get them to change it."
"Alright."
A quick phone conversation later and she was fully committed to her research spending the whole morning there. Due to a lack of equipnt, there were a lot of things they couldn’t do; they could only work on so theoretical analysis.
In the anti, Heijii called back.
"Boss, they said everything is done according to the rules. If you can’t get the approval, the president of the club may have to apply."
Due to this, around 10:30 am, they rushed off to the Technology Park during office hours.
There were three staff mbers in the managent office, one of which was enjoying tea and comnted when he saw the group of boys following Chloe: "Why are you back again? We spent a long ti talking yesterday and still said no."
anwhile, in the Robot Research Laboratory.
The director of the Finance Departnt ca in and brought up the call he had just received.
"Strange, Mr. White suddenly asked about our equipnt, saying it’s for use by all students and teachers and not to block it."
Manie York, who was considering whether to call Mr. White at this hour, put down his phone montarily upon hearing this: "Did he find out sothing?"
"Mr. White usually doesn’t ask about our specific situations, this ti it’s a bit weird."
"Could it be because so students ca to apply to use our new equipnt yesterday? Professor Rocker was worried they’d damage the equipnt and instructed the managent to not lend it out. Could it be due to this?"
Just as Shane Rocker walked in he replied, "Such a trivial matter involving a student has reached Mr. White? It’s probably just a coincidence."
He then turned to the director of the Finance Departnt and asked, "What was your response?"
"Oh, I just told the truth that everything is used according to regulations. Typically, if a club wants to use it, it’s okay as long as the president cos to apply."
"Nonsense!"
Shane Rocker scolded.
"Clubs are student organizations, we stopped them just yesterday. How can they use equipnt at will? Students are restless and impulsive, not knowing their limits. If they damage the equipnt and delay our experints, who will bear the consequences?"
