Chapter 1178
Everyone is eager, it just happens to be break ti, they all want her to make the call in front of them, first to hear Mr. White’s voice, second, to learn from her speaking skills.
Seeing this, Mane glanced at the ti, it wasn’t alti yet, and dialed the number.
It rang for a long ti and then was automatically disconnected.
"No answer."
"Maybe... he didn’t hear the phone ring."
"Manie, could you try again?"
Mane dialed again, but still, no one answered.
"Forget it, maybe we’re out of luck, try again tonight, Mane."
Mane nodded her head, puts her phone in her bag, and casually asked, "Are the batch of new equipnt going to be used by outsiders?"
"A small amount, yes. Why, has soone applied?"
"Yeah, just got in, saw so folks from the Comic Innovation Club filling out the form."
"Them..." The others looked at each other, "They got wind of that fast. But, can they apply on their own? They’d need a teacher for that, right?"
"The person in charge at the Innovation Club is Milton White." Sophia ntioned.
Mane glanced at her and was reminded of those matters.
"Senior, I have so questions for you."
Sophia glanced at her.
Mane: "Personal matters."
The two of them left the break room one after the other.
"If you have sothing to say, say it." Sophia’s brows frowned slightly, her whole body filled with a trace of defiance.
Mane knew she’d never been on Sophia’s good side, regarded as so kind of competition.
So, there was no need to beat around the bush.
"So, I’ll just say it straight. You’ve expressed fear of Chloe Collins more than once, why is that?"
Sophia turned to look at her, her eyes scrutinizing.
"Fear? Which eye of yours saw scared of her?"
Mane showed a faint smile: "Both eyes saw."
Sophia was taken aback for a mont, then fell silent.
Mane continued: "I heard that you’ve always liked Alexander in the past, but why did you give up on him after a while? Was it because of her? You don’t seem like the type to give up so easily."
Those past events had long been buried in Sophia’s heart, she didn’t want to ntion it and certainly didn’t want to hear it.
She glared at Mane in disgust: "Did you bring out here to listen to this nonsense?"
"Nonsense? It seems it really was because of Chloe Collins that you gave up. I am really curious. What tricks does she have to turn you into...this?"
She looked up and down at Sophia, as if saying the words "loser".
Sophia squinted her eyes and gave a cold smirk: "You’re curious? If you’re curious, go get in touch with her, soon, you’ll find out."
"Senior, don’t tease , I need a clear answer."
Sophia took a deep breath, staring at her, after a while she murmured, "You’re right, I heard you are a princess from the Continent of Stortia."
The Continent of Stortia only recognized Anstolas as a major country, the other small countries barely registered.
And Mane, from her royal family, had always been given the title of princess.
Mane was disdainful of this. She didn’t like to flaunt what she got from her parents, she preferred to compare what she earned herself with others.
"What princess, they’re just making that up."
Sophia smirked, "I heard you grew up in the military there. You must know so martial arts, then."
Manie looked at her, "Are you suggesting that Chloe Collins knows so too?"
"You’re not scared because of that are you?"
Sophia laughed deeper, "Little princess, by all ans, don’t let her steal your heart. Go fight for it, who knows, you might be stronger."
With that, she walked away.
Manie muttered to herself: "Martial arts..."
After a while, a light laugh escaped her lips.
