Chapter 1166
He flipped through a student handbook and said to the people from the Innovation Club, "Look here, it’s clear in these regulations — if you don’t recruit enough new mbers each year, we have the right to disband you."
The female Departnt head said, "Your club only has six mbers and no newcors. What are you holding onto it for? Not only are you wasting resources, you’re also being laughed at by others. Tell , what have you done in these past years that is relevant to innovation, aside from dating? Have you even managed to co up with anything?" After saying that, she tossed them a contemptuous glance.
"What did you say!" A girl from the Innovation Club was infuriated and looked ready to confront her physically.
The female Departnt head was not scared, but puffed out her chest and raised her head defiantly.
The girl’s boyfriend held her back, preventing her from stepping forward.
"Don’t talk nonsense. We have been committed to research and developnt. You never bothered to look at our works but readily condemn us. It’s a disgrace to the Club Association to have people like you! Where is your president? I want to talk to him personally!"
The Departnt head said indifferently, "The President is busy. He doesn’t need to worry about such trivial matters. We’re more than capable of handling it."
Then, the President of the Comic Club spoke up, "What about us? We have recruited enough mbers, so why are we still being disbanded?"
The two Departnt heads looked over, their impatience even more evident.
"It’s you again. Haven’t we made it clear? Your recent picture books are all unqualified, the kind that no one would buy on the market, and the content is vulgar, not at all positive. How can our school continue to tolerate such an organization?"
After saying that, she glanced at Chloe Collins and her lips curled into a smile.
It seed like the pleasure of a vendetta satisfied.
Chloe Collins’ gaze swept slowly across the room and suddenly noticed a large box that soone from the Innovation Club was holding. A small part was exposed, and it looked like a chanical product.
"What is that?"
The question sowhat eased the tension.
The President of the Innovation Club hurriedly explained, "This is our club’s latest achievent, a smart robot. We nad it Little Alita. As the na implies, it has strong combat capabilities, can defend hos, participate in resource explorations, and even disaster relief! It benefits humanity!"
The female Departnt head sneered, "You’re talking about goals, right? It’s good enough that this thing can move. How dare you bring out such childish stuff? If you’re so capable, why can’t you even enter Professor Rocker’s lab? You’ve been rejected twice, haven’t you? I’m not criticizing you, but you should realize your capabilities. Don’t embarrass yourself by showing off this kind of thing."
Her words hit a raw nerve. The mbers’ faces turned red with anger. However, since her words were true, indeed they had been rejected twice by Shane Rocker, they had nothing to rebut her with.
Because of her words, Chloe Collins gave them a second look and asked, "Can I take a look?"
The mbers were surprised, "You want to see it?"
"If it’s convenient for you."
"Of course! Sure!"
"Then let’s talk about it outside."
Just as Chloe Collins was about to leave, soone grabbed her arm. "Chloe, we haven’t solved the problem with the Comic Club yet..."
Chloe gave him a cool look and said, "As long as I’m here, it won’t be disbanded."
These arrogant words made the Departnt heads inside scoff.
"Chloe Collins, don’t be too arrogant. Do you think you’re the master of this school? You say it won’t be disbanded, so it won’t? On what grounds? As far as I know, you’ve already used up that privilege of yours to make any request to the school administration."
"You don’t need to worry about that." Chloe Collins didn’t look back. After leaving these words behind, she walked out.
