Chapter 400: Chapter 400: That young lady didn’t send him a single ssage.

Before Charlotte could speak, she strode inside.

She smashed whatever she saw, threw all the clothes from the wardrobe out of the window, swept the makeup off the table, ripped up the sheets and tossed them out!

Pulling open the drawer, she grabbed a pair of scissors and cut all the designer clothes and bags in front of Charlotte.

Crushing the broken pieces in her hand, she threw them at Charlotte’s face, glaring, "Listen carefully, every blade of grass, every brick and tile in this place is the result of my parents’ hard work. Now that they’re gone, I’m the only owner of this place, and it’s not up to you, a shaless mistress!"

As Charlotte watched her beloved belongings get ruined by Layla, she scread and lunged at her to hit her.

Layla picked up the bundle of sheets and threw it right at her chest.

Charlotte stumbled and fell to the ground.

"You just wait! Wait for it! Soon, you’ll cry and scream until no one can help you!"

She ran out, calling Jason Chen’s na at the doorway.

It was already late, and the surrounding area was quiet, so Charlotte’s sudden shout scared Jason, who had just co in.

Swearing a few curses, he didn’t plan to go up but locked the door instead.

It should just be two won, fighting and pulling each other’s hair, nothing serious could co out of it.

Better focus on his real business.

Thinking about the events taking place here soon, he clenched his legs and excitedly walked towards the bathroom door.

Suddenly, the sound of water stopped.

He halted his steps abruptly, holding his breath and staring at the bathroom doorway.

Then, he saw a fair and delicate hand reaching out, grabbing the clothes hanging on the doorknob and pulling them in.

The warm fragrance from the bathroom stimulated his entire body, and he couldn’t control himself anymore, lunging at the door!

After failing to reach Chloe for the second ti, Alexander suddenly saw a ssage from Charles Carrington, asking him to go out and unwind for a bit.

Charles had a little habit: before going to court, he’d recklessly relax for one night, not imrsing himself in any material.

Alexander was by the entrance to Chloe’s residential area where he dropped her off in the evening when he saw the ssage and directly refused it.

[No ti.]

[Charles: Co on, the press conference is over, and you’re still working overti?]

[Not about work.]

[Charles: What could you be busy with if it’s not work? Chloe isn’t with you.]

Alexander narrowed his eyes.

[Is she with you?]

[Charles: If she was with , would I need to hand you over?]

[Charles: She’s at the Lowells, accompanying her sister.]

[Did she tell you?]

Alexander’s handso face was enveloped in gloom.

He had been waiting for hours, and the young lady didn’t send him a single ssage.

[Charles: Anyway, for whatever reason, I can see the Lowells’ surveillance here.]

Following this ssage was a short recording.

The recording showed the situation at Layla Lowell’s main gate directly, from about ten minutes ago, with the two of them passing through the gate and going in together.

[Charles: Co on out, let’s have a drink.]

Alexander thought for a few seconds before asking—

[Can you see the inside of the house?]

[Charles: I could, but it involves the young miss’s privacy. I only monitor the exterior.]

[She’s not answering the phone or replying to the ssages, sothing’s off.]

[Charles: Maybe the kids are chatting and don’t have ti to check their phones.]

[Charles: Or perhaps, she’s deliberately hanging you out to dry.]

[Alexander: That’s not a possibility.]

[Charles: Let

ask Fishie then.]

Alexander put down his phone and headed straight to the Lowells’.
