Chapter 399: Chapter 399: Disturbing Intrusion into the Room
"Chapter 399
"Yes, aside from the bathroom and Charlotte Floyd’s bedroom, Mr. Carrington had
install caras everywhere possible to prevent them from moving things out."
She pulled out her phone and clicked into an app: "You can monitor all the caras from here, Mr. Carrington can see them on his phone too."
Chloe Collins nodded, took a glimpse, and entered the room with her.
"Go take a shower, I’ll find so clothes for you," Layla Lowell said.
Chloe Collins was planning to have a hot bath, which perfectly matched her preference.
This was the first ti Layla Lowell had invited a friend to stay at her ho, she was in a good mood, humming a tune as she looked for clothes.
However, all her pleasure dissipated within seconds — her pajamas were all missing!
She had her clothes categorized, and pajamas had their own closet.
Now, that closet was nearly empty, only remaining one pair of vaguely masculine-style pajama pants. The tops along with underwear were all gone!
Many of her clothes had never been worn, they were brand new, but they had also disappeared!
Reflecting on it, she suddenly rembered forgetting to lock the door when she went out.
A vein appeared on her forehead, a guess sprang up in her mind — in the past, Charlotte Floyd was extrely jealous of her closet being twice the size of hers and often brought it up in front of her father, but he didn’t think it was a big deal and never replaced it for her.
The more Layla Lowell thought about it, the angrier she got. She casually picked up a set of soft fabric jackets and pants for Chloe Collins and left them on the bathroom door, then stepped out.
Only a few steps out, she suddenly rembered sothing and doubled back, taking the precaution of locking her bedroom door before heading straight to Charlotte Floyd’s bedroom.
As she walked up the stairs, a tall figure suddenly erged from the corner, coming to the front of her bedroom door, gripped the doorknob, and twisted it.
Suddenly, the doorknob was restricted by so force, it didn’t turn.
Jason Chen cursed under his breath, then pulled several keys from his pocket, beginning to try them one by one.
Layla Lowell woke Charlotte Floyd up.
Charlotte Floyd was already disgruntled, and seeing Layla made her even angrier.
Layla Lowell cut to the chase: "Did you enter my room today?"
Charlotte Floyd lifted her chin, arrogant and domineering: "This entire ho is my territory, do I need your permission to go anywhere?"
"So you admit that you went in, did you?" Layla Lowell spoke in a slow, deliberate manner.
Charlotte Floyd’s attitude remained belligerent: "Not only did I go in, but I also burned all your clothes. Tomorrow, I’ll have soone throw away everything else to erase your traces from here. What can you do to ?"
She sneered scornfully: "In short, you’re now an orphan, helpless and alone. Do you really think you can challenge
with so cheap lawyer? Do you understand how to run a company? If the Lowells were really handed over to you, it would collapse within a week. I must offer my father an explanation."
Layla Lowell had a deadly look in her eyes, "Did you just say you burned my clothes?"
Charlotte Floyd looked at her in disgust: "What’s the matter, are you angry? Good. I like to see your twisted and ugly face, just like your mother, hahaha..."
Layla Lowell suddenly beca much calr, she ca not to fight for those clothes, but... to teach her a lesson!
She gave a cold smile: "Tonight, I’ll show you who is the real owner of this house."
Confronted with her gaze, Charlotte Floyd tensed, her body on alert: "What are you going to do?!"
Layla Lowell pushed past her and headed straight in, scanning everything in sight. She turned back to Charlotte Floyd with a cold smirk: "All of this stuff is your precious belongings, right?"

(End of the day, good night everyone)"
