Mr. Wyatt releases a heartfelt laugh from his stomach when finally, he hears Alfred’s words. He gurgled with laughter and his laugh sounded so good and crackless for a man his age, adding to how loud he laughed.

Alfred took in shaky breaths. "You can laugh all you want, but I want you to know this, It was my right if I wanted those docunts for myself," he told Mr. Wyatt.

Mr. Wyatt paused his laugh.

Alfred’s eyes fud with anger for being taken for granted. Mr. Wyatt’s nonchalant laugh angered him and it strengthened him to continue, "And if this goes to court, you and the higher-ups would be the ones at the receiving end for all of your illegal ways to draw my wealth off ."

"Illegal?" Mr. Wyatt sounded surprised, "Did you just call soone else deeds illegal and did you just brag about winning if we forward this to court?"

Alfred replied, "Yes, illegal, and if we forward this to the court, you would be the one to lose all of it. You and that arrogant bastard you call a_"

Slash!!

Mr. Wyatt shut Alfred up by pouring the whole jug of water on him. That wasn’t enough for him and he carried the glass before him and emptied the glass on Alfred again.

He harshly stood up from his seat and slamd his hand hard on the dining table, "What did I tell you about calling my son offensive nas?" he fud.

Alfred’s eyes widened in surprise. The water poured on him humiliated him, even if no other eyes witnessed it.

After pouring the water on Alfred as a warning, Mr. Wyatt cald down and sat down gently. "I believe you now understand better and for the record about illegal, the illegal you boast about, do you think you would be free from everything you have done to get to the top?" he asked.

Alfred raised his eyes from his wet hands and stared at Mr. Wyatt with questions. His mind turned hazy.

"You know they say the truth would set you free..." Mr. Wyatt said calmly, "But in your case, the truth would send you to jail,"

Alfred’s heart leaped and his body turned numb. The questions in his mind went around in circles, suffocating him.

Mr. Wyatt’s phone at his corner beeped, pausing the conversation. He picked up his phone and stared at it for a second and returned it to its initial position.

Alfred cald his racing heart and forcefully parted his lips, "What are you talking about?" he tried to play innocent which wasn’t working as his voice trembled, giving his guilt out.

Mr. Wyatt released a relaxed breath from his lips, "That question would have to wait. My son is on the way and I would want him to partake in this fun," he said calmly, watching the door.

At the ntion of Nicklaus, Alfred’s eyes blinked with incredulity. Fear grew in him and the mont the door pulled open from the outside and his newly found worst enemy appeared, his muscles stiffened.

He was beginning to suspect sothing. Mr. Wyatt spoke with hidden facts about him being illegal and he feared they knew about his sins or they could.

Nicklaus’s gaze darkened when they fell on Alfred and worst still, the man sat on one of his properties.

His gaze burned Alfred but that wasn’t enough. He took quick steps to the man and held him by the collar of the new shirt Mr. Wyatt provided for him to put on. "Who asked you to sit down here?" he growled like a wounded lion.

"What_"

Alfred tried to speak and Nicklaus tightened his grip on his collar, his eyes burning with hate.

Mr. Wyatt frowned at the situation at hand. Nicklaus would not kill him because he doesn’t have a murder record but a day begins a story and with how tight his hold on Alfred was, he could foresee the story starting.

"Who_"

Mr. Wyatt cut Nicklaus off, "Son, let him go. I ordered him to dine with ,"

Nicklaus turned to this father. He gritted his teeth and for the respect and care he had for Mr. Wyatt, it covered his killing intention at the mont, and he let go of Alfred.

Mr. Wyatt released a low breath of relief and Alfred began to cough to regain his breathing composure.

Nicklaus took a seat at Mr. Wyatt’s direct right hand, which was the seat beside Alfred. "Why did you order him to sit?" he asked impatiently.

"If you want to know, I was only giving him so brief_"

Nicklaus’s expression turned ugly, "Skip the small talk," he cut Mr. Wyatt off and faced Alfred.

When he faced Alfred, Alfred’s eyes slamd shut as if that would protect him from Nicklaus’s dangerously dark eyes.

Nicklaus kept his voice formal, "How would you love to go to prison, Mr. Lincoln? Would you love to use your cris in the business world, cris against children, cris against Adele, cris against your brother, cris against the Knewman couples, or cris against my wife," There was no emotion on Nicklaus’s hard face as he listed the surface of Alfred cris.

Alfred’s soul left him when he heard Nicklaus’s words. His chest tightened and breathing beca difficult for him.

He opened his eyes and stared into Nicklaus’s emotionless ones without life in him. Alfred still breathes but he already sees himself in the land of the dead.

When Logan threatened him this way, he had lesser fears. However, the Wyatts are no ordinary people, and ssing with them had never been on his bucket list until Laura toyed with his company’s wealth.

He would kill that woman.

Nicklaus stood up from his seat and stood behind Alfred. He stared down at Alfred and asked again, "Tell , dear father-in-law,"

Alfred felt sick down to his stomach, and he shivered visibly.

Nicklaus continued with a low impatient voice, "Your nurse, Cassandra, is already serving her prison terms and I would love to send her a fellow,"

Nicklaus paused and placed a finger on Alfred’s shaking body, "...but yours would be forever. Your evidence is piled up. So, tell where we should start from."
