Iris and Jin Liwei took the twins to wash off the paint from their hands before changing the children's clothes. Little Mochi and Little Matcha wore red and blue bowties respectively. The husband and wife also freshened up afterwards.
It took Iris so ti to finish getting ready. When she ca out, Dom had already changed the collars of the cats and dogs.
Compared to Popcorn and the two dogs, Ice Cream wore a bejewelled platinum collar. The grumpy, fat, lazy cat had her chin tilted up higher than usual as if looking down on re mortals.
Iris chuckled upon seeing her first cat daughter.
As expected of Dom, he knew what to do before she could even say anything. She approved of his collar choices.
The family finally sat down on the large sofa.
Iris and Jin Liwei sat together. Jin Liwei held both of their twin sons, Little Mochi and Little Matcha, on his lap. Iris held a large tablet. The screen showed Ketchup and Bacon sitting side by side.
Ice Cream sat on Iris' other side while Popcorn sat on Jin Liwei's other side.
The guard dogs, Pudding and Chowder, frad the whole family's sides while sitting on the floor.
Dom held the instant cara and instructed the family on how to pose. Instead of taking just one, he took multiple pictures. After the self-developing film ran out, Dom took out his phone and continued snapping photos of the family.
Originally, Iris had only planned on taking a quick family photo to send to Grandpa Lu's old astronor friend as an attachnt to the thank-you card. But with Dom's involvent in the matter, it suddenly evolved into a full-blown photoshoot.
In the end, the kids, cats, and dogs lost patience and began playing on one side. Iris and Jin Liwei tried persuading them to sit properly, but after a few tis, they gave up.
Dom took candid shots of every single mont. Almost all of the latter photos were chaotic.
Iris loved all of them after seeing the shots on Dom's phone.
"Send everything to , Dom," she said. "I want to choose so shots and have them frad."
"Okie dokie, boss!" Dom gave her a thumbs up. "I also want to choose so photos to update your social dia."
"Rember to cover up the twins' faces."
"Of course, boss! Don't worry! I know what to do."
While Dom was scrolling on his phone, Iris and Jin Liwei gathered the instant cara photos to choose which ones to send to the old astronor. Jin Liwei chose the most formal one while Iris chose the shot where they all were smiling. Even the dogs and cats looked like they were smiling except for Ice Cream who always looked haughty and grumpy at the sa ti.
"Let's send this one, then," Jin Liwei said and took his wife's choice.
"But I also like this one," Iris said, taking her husband's choice.
"Just send both of them," Dom suggested.
"Good idea!" Iris smiled.
"En." Jin Liwei didn't care that much. No matter what, his wife always looked beautiful.
Iris wrote so words of gratitude on both photos before slipping them with the thank-you card. Then she handed the envelope to Dom.
"Help send this to Grandpa Lu's astronor friend," Iris said. "Also include so other thank-you gifts."
"Will do, Boss!"
After Dom left, Iris called Grandpa Lu with the tablet to inform him that his old friend's first-eting gift to her twin sons had already arrived.
"I already know about it, my girl!" Grandpa Lu's voice bood. "Are you happy? Tell , I want to know!"
"Yes, Grandpa Lu. I'm extrely happy." Iris glanced at her husband.
Jin Liwei's face might look cold and indifferent, but she already knew the minute differences in his expressions.
"And so is my husband," she said. "We're all very happy."
Indeed, Jin Liwei's face softened.
"Bahahaha! I knew it! I already told my friend that he should reserve so stars for our Little Misha and Little Dima, too! Then all the twin cousins will have stars nad after them. Wouldn't that be amazing?! Tell , am I right or am I right?! Tell , I want to know!"
"Of course, you're right." Iris chuckled.
Her phone vibrated indicating that a ssage arrived. It was from her brother-in-law.
"Hold on, Grandpa Lu. Brother Chonglin just sent a ssage. Let check it first."
Grandpa Lu didn't mind. He shifted to chatting with Jin Liwei instead.
When Iris read what her brother-in-law sent her, she looked surprised before laughing.
"What happened?" Jin Liwei asked.
"What's going on?" Grandpa Lu asked next. "I want to know!"
Instead of answering their questions, Iris handed her phone to her husband. Jin Liwei read what his younger brother sent to his wife. Then he scowled.
"Childish!"
"Tell what happened! I want to know!"
Iris snickered.
Jin Liwei sighed and shook his head before explaining. "Chonglin bought the rights to na a star after him. Apparently, you can buy it online from a foreign website."
"What?! Is it authentic?" Even Grandpa Lu was shocked.
Compared to the old man, the husband and wife weren't too shocked. Just a little surprised not because a service like this existed for normal people but because Jin Chonglin actually bought it after feeling envious of his own nephews.
An uncle was actually trying to compete with his own nephews who were only babies!
Iris found it funny.
Jin Liwei, in contrast, found it annoying.
Surprisingly (or not), Grandpa Lu exclaid, "I want it, too! Tell which website I should buy it from! Wait, let call that boy, Chonglin! This old man will ask him myself! I keep asking my friend to na a star after , too, but he keeps refusing saying that it needs several levels of approval from this society or that association! Bah! Now I know that he just doesn't want to na a star after your grandpa! Hmph!"
The husband and wife glanced at each other while listening to the old man complaining.
