Tan Yiwen smiled: "I’ll go first, you keep her calm today."

"Okay!"

Tan Yiwen was about to leave when Zhang Hongyun suddenly erged from the corner: "Yiwen, can you take out?"

Tan Yiwen and Fan Qing stood at the door, stunned, then instinctively glanced at each other.

"I have sothing to tell you."

Zhang Hongyun remained as soft and delicate, as if she’d been frightened.

Tan Yiwen looked at Fan Qing, reassured her, then turned to Zhang Hongyun: "Sure! Let’s go!"

Fan Qing watched them leave from the doorstep, feeling a constant unease deep down.

Wasn’t Zhang Hongyun supposed to be asleep?

How did she suddenly get up, and dressed so neatly?

Zhang Hongyun got into Tan Yiwen’s car, and as she fastened her seatbelt, she remarked: "It’s been a long ti since I sat in this seat."

Tan Yiwen’s gaze froze montarily, but he remained silent, while Zhang Hongyun continued: "Rember? You used to say that this seat would always be mine if I wanted it!"

"But you didn’t want it!"

Tan Yiwen started the car.

"Didn’t want it? Did you give ti to think it over? You just hurriedly found another woman to live with, — I didn’t expect you to be so hasty!"

Zhang Hongyun complained while looking out the window, appearing deeply hurt.

Tan Yiwen furrowed his brow, feeling quite suppressed inside; if she weren’t a woman, he’d have already kicked her out of the car.

He held back, knowing that as an excellent lawyer, he had confidence in his own restraint.

"Yiwen, is Fan Qing good? Does she give you the feeling you want?"

After a few minutes, Zhang Hongyun suddenly asked him.

Thinking that he needed to keep an eye on her today, waiting for her parents to pick her up, Tan Yiwen replied: "I know well how she makes feel, don’t need to discuss it with you, do I?"

Tan Yiwen’s gaze was sowhat dismissive, but Zhang Hongyun laughed obligingly.

"Of course! You two have been good for so long! I was just wondering how a woman who snatched her best friend’s boyfriend managed to charm you."

Zhang Hongyun was still slightly disappointed and jealous, asking about it without showing how aggrieved she felt.

"Snatching a best friend’s boyfriend? Are you sure she snatched her best friend’s boyfriend?"

"Yiwen, weren’t we talking about being boyfriend and girlfriend? Back then?"

"I only know that you admired a boss with the surna Mu, and the bed you climbed into belonged to an old man with the surna Cong."

Tan Yiwen parked the car by the roadside, and the two began to argue inside the car. Tan Yiwen’s voice wasn’t extrely sharp, but his words pierced the heart.

"Talking about being boyfriend and girlfriend with ? When? How co I don’t know?"

Tan Yiwen’s brow showed a bitter smile.

Zhang Hongyun looked at his seemingly sad expression, mistakenly thinking he was sad, and instinctively turned to face him.

"I know I’ve wronged you, but it wasn’t intentional, Yiwen, if you give another chance, I..."

"You have no chance anymore!"

Excitedly speaking to him, Zhang Hongyun’s words were interrupted by Tan Yiwen before she could finish.

"I understand, I understand, it’s who hurt you deeply. But I’m just unwilling, unwilling to be a small ant in this city, to be easily trampled on by anyone."

"With your family’s background, who could readily trample on you? You think of yourself as lowly? There’s no need to ntion those illusory things between us anymore."

Tan Yiwen started the car again, but where would the car go?

"I want to visit a bookstore, will you accompany ?"

"Provide the address!"

Tan Yiwen said casually, focusing on driving.

Zhang Hongyun felt comforted, hearing his willingness to accompany her, and gave the address.

It was the bookstore newly opened by Qin Mingzhu. After Zhang Hongyun and Tan Yiwen got out of the car, they looked at the brand-new sign, and Zhang Hongyun murmured: "Just a few days ago, I ca here and saw the decor inside, it sowhat resembles the style of a store we used to frequent. Let’s go in and take a look!"

Tan Yiwen remained silent, glancing towards a nearby location. Just ahead was Qin Mu’s fashion store, and he suddenly realized he hadn’t bought clothes for Fan Qing yet, though uncertain if Fan Qing could wear clothes from their store at her current job.

After putting the baby to sleep in the office, Qin Mingzhu called an aunt to stay with the baby inside. Qin Mu had instructed her to look after the store properly, so she obediently ca out to manage the store, not wanting Qin Mu to ignore her all the ti.

As she stepped out and saw Zhang Hongyun, she couldn’t help but laugh mockingly, thinking to herself, what a strange fate I have with this woman, instinctively walking towards the cashier area.
