Chapter 1049: Chapter 1049: The Strongest Combat Force of the Research Institute

Han Wang’s voice carried a chilling seriousness, and when her face was devoid of any smile, the oppressive aura she exuded was overwhelming.

The kind of disdainful energy she emanated left Nolan completely unable to react.

His expression twisted in pain. Han Wang didn’t hold back at all, and he began to doubt whether this violent person before him was actually a woman.

“Does your hand hurt? Let take a look.”

Only after Han Wang finished did Pei Ya dare step forward.

He was long accustod to such situations and thus didn’t find Han Wang’s actions overly violent.

At the Tianqi Research Institute, Professor Qiao often used various punishnts to discipline people when dissatisfied.

But Han Wang was different; she firmly believed that punches produce obedience.

Not a single one of the lunatics at the institute had escaped being beaten by Han Wang.

Han Wang had even systematically trained in sanda and combat just so she could freely beat them up.

She was undoubtedly the strongest combatant at the institute.

Pei Ya sighed, “Why did you start a fight all of a sudden?”

Han Wang glanced at him, her eyelashes trembling slightly.

Pei Ya didn’t notice her expression and lanted regretfully, “If you wanted to hit him, you should’ve told . I’d have done it for you. Isn’t it gross to touch soone like him?”

Han Wang: “…”

Han Wang withdrew her gaze and ignored Pei Ya. She curled her lips and sneered at Nolan, “I knew you were garbage, but I didn’t realize you were this worthless. It seems I’ve been far too lenient, to the point where you dare to say such things in front of .”

Han Wang taking it seriously was sothing Nolan hadn’t expected.

He spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva and struggled to stand up from the ground, a faint malice hidden deep in his eyes. However, on the surface, he appeared utterly defeated.

“How could you treat like this?”

This aggrieved tone gave Pei Ya a slight shiver.

Han Wang narrowed her eyes, her fingers twitching faintly.

“Go ahead and hit . If hitting can make you feel better and forgive , I’m willing to let you do it!”

After speaking, Nolan raised his head, signaling Han Wang to strike.

Han Wang raised an eyebrow.

Pei Ya clicked his tongue. Did this lunatic truly think that saying sothing like that would stop Han Wang?

Han Wang took a step forward, and Nolan instinctively stepped back.

Just at that mont, soone called out to Han Wang.

“Is that Xiaowang?”

Han Wang paused mid-step and turned toward the voice, spotting an elderly man with white hair. The mont he saw her, joy lit up his face.

“It really is you.”

The old man walked over with a wide grin.

“I heard you’d co, but I didn’t believe it. I never expected it to actually be you. Why are you standing out here instead of coming inside?”

Nolan, upon seeing the elderly man, found him vaguely familiar. As the man ca closer, the look on Nolan’s face turned into one of utter shock.

It was Qiao Si!

A highly renowned scientist from O-Continent and also the owner of the technology museum they were standing in front of.

This man held such a high status in O-Continent that even the Andrew Family had to steer clear of him.

Let alone Nolan, who had never even had the chance to et Qiao Si in person.

Nolan stared at Han Wang in utter disbelief.

She actually knew Qiao Si?

And more shockingly, Qiao Si’s attitude toward Han Wang was so warm and welcoming.

Nolan began questioning his entire understanding of Han Wang.

He’d thought that even though Han Wang was Professor Qiao’s student, she amounted to nothing more than just another student…

Han Wang, oblivious to Nolan’s thoughts, politely said, “Mr. Qiao Si, I didn’t know you were here as well.”

Qiao Si responded with mild annoyance, “Don’t call ‘Mr.’ It makes sound old. Just call Qiao Si.”

Han Wang imdiately corrected herself, “Qiao Si.”

Only then did Qiao Si smile in satisfaction, before turning to Pei Ya. “Xiaoya, you’re here too.”

Pei Ya responded obediently, “Qiao Si, long ti no see.”

Qiao Si’s smile deepened, “Yes, it has been a long ti. Alright, let’s go inside and talk.”

Han Wang and Pei Ya did not decline.

Nolan, observing this harmonious scene, couldn’t help but speak up, “Xiya, I haven’t finished what I was saying…”

Qiao Si, as if noticing Nolan for the first ti, asked curiously, “And who is this?”

Han Wang replied succinctly, “Trash.”

Nolan’s expression imdiately darkened, especially when Qiao Si’s next words made it even worse.

“Oh, so it’s trash.”

Qiao Si frowned, “If it’s trash, it belongs in the trash bin. Do you want to go there yourself, or should I call soone to clean it up?”

Nolan froze in disbelief.

He had never imagined that Qiao Si would be such a biased person. Just one word from Han Wang, and he was treating Nolan so dismissively.

But so what?

As arrogant as Nolan usually was, he now had no choice but to swallow his anger and silently endure it, watching as they cheerfully walked away together.

Nolan stared at Han Wang’s retreating figure, his expression complicated and his emotions unsettled.

He stood there for a long ti before the ringing of his phone snapped him out of it.

Nolan suppressed the uncomfortable feeling in his chest and answered the call.

He didn’t speak, waiting until the person on the other end finished talking.

“Sir, should we proceed with the original plan?”

Nolan didn’t respond imdiately.

He weighed the pros and cons of what he was about to do, trying to decide if the benefits outweighed the risks.

Qiao Si’s appearance, in particular, made him hesitate.

After a while…

Nolan touched his still-aching cheek, his gaze darkening, and finally gritted his teeth. “Do it.”

Despite his reservations, he couldn’t stomach the idea of being beaten without retaliation.

Especially after suffering so many losses to Han Wang, he was inexplicably eager to see her bow to him, just once.
