The third trial was a trial by combat.
However, it was different from the first trial which had also been a trial by combat.
Instead of being a trial of slaughter, this was a trial of force.
That ant that this was a one on one battle.
There was this large demon dog that had been sleeping in the room when I entered and it woke up the mont that I ca in. As soon as it woke up, it looked at with a fierce look and started snarling at .
But I didn’t panic as I looked calmly at the demon dog.
In fact, I was looking at the demon dog like I was looking at a cute dog instead of a fierce looking dog that seed like it could tear apart with a single bite.
This dog was known as a Hell Hound. It was said to have descended from the mighty Cerberus that was supposed to be the gatekeeper of Hell.
However, soone like knew that this was nothing more than flavour text to help enhance the lore of the ga. I knew the truth behind the Hell Hound which was that it was the pre evolution form of the Cerberus.
But this Hell Hound was still considered a powerful opponent.
In the ga, this would have been considered a late mid ga boss, sothing that an early ga character like wouldn’t have been able to defeat. Even if I was more of a late early ga character because of the shared stats.
Of course, it wasn’t as if I had any intention of fighting this Hell Hound.
With a wave of my hand, there was a bone that appeared.
The appearance of the Hell Hound imdiately changed the mont that this bone appeared.
Instead of glaring at , the eyes of the Hell Hound were locked onto the bone.
That was because this wasn’t a normal bone.
This was a special bone that I had prepared just for this Hell Hound.
I waved the bone around and the Hell Hound’s eyes just followed wherever I moved my hand.
It really seed like it wanted to take this bone from my hand, but it held itself back for so reason.
That was because of the red light that appeared around .
This red light was the suppression of the demon king and sothing that even the Hell Hound had to respect.
Though the main reason for this was because it had been raised by a forr Demon King. Demon King Balcor had trained this Hell Hound, but he had trained it to be afraid of the red light of the demon king’s pressure rather than himself.
This was why I was able to suppress this Hell Hound.
Once I finished suppressing the Hell Hound, I raised my other hand and waved for it to co over.
The Hell Hound didn’t move at first, but it eventually ca over because I waved for it to co over. Once it ca over, it seed to lower its head as if it was waiting to see what I would do.
But I could tell that it had its guard up.
It seed like it was ready to act if sothing happened.
However, I just slowly reached my hand out until it was over the head of the Hell Hound and then slowly brought it down until it was on the Hell Hound’s head. The Hell Hound seed tense, but it didn’t do anything as it waited to see what I did.
Then to the surprise of the Hell Hound...
With a smile on my face, I rubbed the head of the Hell Hound and said, "Who’s a good boy."
The Hell Hound looked at with a confused and curious look on its face, but I didn’t hesitate as I started rubbing its head like this. With my other hand, I brought the bone over to its mouth before offering it to it.
The Hell Hound still looked confused seeing this, but it eventually took the bone.
As soon as its teeth sank into the bone, the look on the face of the Hell Hound imdiately changed. It was filled with joy as it started chewing on the bone like it was having the feast of its life.
After all, this bone was sothing that had been specially prepared for the Hell Hound.
It certainly wasn’t a normal bone.
Once it started enjoying itself, the Hell Hound didn’t hold back as it laid down and chewed the bone while letting do what I wanted with it. It even seed to respond when I started rubbing it all over its body.
It didn’t take long for its tail to wag and its leg to kick in joy like a real dog.
A faint smile appeared on my face seeing this.
After all, this was a fierce Hell Hound that was now acting like a dog.
But there was still the matter of this third trial to deal with.
"Do you want to co with ?" I asked the Hell Hound all of a sudden.
The Hell Hound suddenly stopped chewing on the bone and looked at with another confused look on its face.
I just explained to it, "I’ll ta you and then you can leave this place with ."
The Hell Hound seed to hesitate for a bit when it heard this, but eventually it gave a nod as if it was putting itself in my hands.
So I just used a simple taming spell which was one of the spells that I had gained from the lich Faust. Even though he was a lich, that didn’t an that he couldn’t use normal spells.
As a lich, he actually learned spells much faster than when he was a human and there were plenty of books for him to read as he attacked the necromancers.
The mont that I tad the Hell Hound, the door opened in front of .
The goal of this trial was for only one of us to remain and since I tad the Hell Hound, it was considered a part of . That was why the trial deed it to be only left standing in this room.
However, the voice changed this ti.
"I can’t accept this!"
