The Man, The Myth, The Legend... The 8th Hero of Darkness, who was supposed to be gone from existence, had revealed his past. And another truth about the present Abyss Empire that shook Kahn to his core.

"How can a divine ability create a realm as big as a continent on its own?" asked Kahn.

To his query, the 8th Hero of Darkness responded solemnly...

"The Abyss Sanctuary Divine Ability is made in the image of the Eternal Abyss, created by the God of Darkness. It was one of the only two divine abilities he contributed to creating when this whole war against the Demon God started.

The Abyss Sanctuary in itself defies all the logic in the world. It not only creates another temporary realm where no one can stop the flow of ti, but even death itself.

It had many restrictions, as you might know. But if you et them all at a certain ti, it can be unlocked.

Just like you... I, too, once died to a being made of darkness elent when I wasn’t even a saint after my summoning.

I, too, unlocked the title of Hero of Darkness and gained those powers. And it was one of the prerequisite conditions to properly unlock the Abyss Sanctuary in my case," revealed the previous hero.

"And after I killed the Demon God... it beca my way out once I was done sealing the Godbeasts using the divine weapons and the cores of other Heroes and Heroines.

But so cores still remained with , and because my own divine weapon had reached a level that even I could not control... I had to unleash all the strength of the divine weapons by channeling them into my own.

The power was so absurdly overwhelming that I ended up creating this isolated realm as an extension of Abyss Sanctuary.

And since I already needed a place to keep the survivors of the Abyss Empire alive and safe while waiting for my successor...

This place itself beca my grave. A grave that could not be found even by Gods." iterated Morpheus.

Kahn quickly turned his head around and looked with a shocked countenance...

"No way! They’re all the chosen heroes and heroines of gods and goddesses from 300 years ago." he spoke with utter disbelief.

"Yes. Unfortunately... I needed their cores and divine weapons to fight and kill the Demon God.

Although so of them were my enemies... so were my friends too. And a few of them always kept a neutral stance throughout the Great War of my generation. They didn’t deserve to die for my goals." he spoke with a somber tone.

"And what about ? I an the original Kahn Salvatore?" asked Kahn with a curious gaze.

"You rember him properly. You knew who I was before I even got here.

It’s as if you knew that my original self was planning to erase his own existence," he queried sternly.

"Yes. He ntioned his decision. Because if he didn’t... then we would lose our crucial advantage of eting you later in this tiline.

However... He did not choose to die because he needed to.

His life was much harsher than yours. It’s not like he chose to erase himself like just because of the way he lived or had given up," stated Morpheus with an empathetic voice.

"There was too much blood on his hands, like . Both the innocent and the guilty.

The Great War... changed him. Every life he took, every life he couldn’t save... it beca a burden that kept increasing with every single day," revealed the predecessor.

"Before he t God of Darkness and told him about the Hero of Ti... he ca to et .

Telling that there was a way to correct all our mistakes and do everything right.

It had to be kept a secret even from the Elder Dragon of Cosmos, Saalazaar.

And before he left, he used the Hero of Ti by bringing his corpse here." revealed Morpheus.

"What?! Didn’t he just use the core to go back in ti?" asked Kahn with shocked eyes.

"The core was needed to activate the spell granted by the God of Ti. But what it allowed to go back in ti was the body of the Hero of Ti as well.

The core was the integral part ant for the body and his mories to go back. And after he died and returned to the past... it didn’t an that his corpse had lost its purpose.

The Martial Emperor left the corpse here and requested the Elder Dragon Saalazaar to use his powers that house this realm and keep it away from the impact of the changes in the tiline.

He told that once he was done setting up his plans with God of Darkness to go back in ti... the corpse of Hero of Ti, which was present here, would also be affected once the spell using the core was activated again.

"How did it even work? Because the Hero of Ti was already back in the past," said Kahn.

"That’s the irony of it. As long as you had the spell and the core of the hero, you could use it again and again for your ans.

The body, the original recipient of the core, would also be affected the second ti as well regardless of who activated the spell.

And once the Martial Emperor did return to your original place in the world boundary... the corpse, along with the spatial realm cast by the Elder Dragon, also brought back in ti." revealed the 8th hero.

"But once I returned to the past, the mories of the original tiline also rged with .

However... since the original body of the Hero of Ti, who had already returned to the past, didn’t exist in the new tiline yet, it just disappeared out of existence.

It was the tiline correcting itself. Sotis, it would just erase things out of existence." he stated, and suddenly, his face grimaced.

Kahn then asked another crucial question...

"When? When did it occur for you? The rging of mories from both tilines?"

Morpheus turned his cold gaze towards Kahn as if it was filled with great regret.

"The mont I created this realm, hidden within the Cult of Darkborne in the original tiline," responded Morpheus.

"What?! Does that an?..."

Kahn was shocked beyond belief.

"For the Hero of Ti, it was 2 years ago. For you, it was during the Conclave of Heroes.

But for ..." spoke the 8th Hero of Darkness as he continued with a grim tone.

"It was 300 years ago."
