Zain was now fighting with the Broodlings. He moved fast and focused.
The Broodlings tried to swarm him.
Their [Pack Assault] made them stronger the more of them there were.
Zain looked at them and laughed.
"Even with that, you’re still too weak."
He punched the first one, his [Heavenly Demon Ether] glowing around his fist.
The Broodling fell back, hissing in pain.
Another Broodling used [Spine Shot], launching spikes from its back.
Zain caught the spikes mid-air and crushed them in his hand.
"Nice try but still too weak."
He dashed forward, his movents quick. His fist glowed brighter.
He punched the nearest Broodling, and his [Heavenly Demon Ether] flowed into its body.
Zain grinned. "Let’s see how you handle this."
The Broodling’s body shook. Then it exploded in a burst of black-green fluid.
Zain smirked. "That’s how you use power."
He turned to the next group of Broodlings."You’re next."
He punched again, his [Heavenly Demon Ether] making each hit more powerful.
Every ti he hit, the Broodling’s body couldn’t handle the energy and burst apart.
Zain’s eyes glead. "I can do this all day."
The Broodlings hissed and circled him, trying to get behind.
Zain cracked his neck. "Let’s make this faster."
He reached into his belt and pulled out a small gun. "Ti to test this."
He loaded the gun with special bullets.
His [Heavenly Demon Ether] wrapped around each one, turning them black with energy.
He aid at the closest Broodling. "Boom."
The bullet hit, and the Broodling exploded instantly.
Zain laughed. "Perfect."
He fired again and again.
Each bullet carried the sa power, each one turning into a small bomb.
The Broodlings didn’t stand a chance.
They scread and tried to run, but Zain was too fast.
He took them down one by one, his gun never missing.
Zain kept shooting, his movents calm.
"You’re all just targets and food for . Nothing more."
The last Broodling tried to hide behind a rock.
Zain walked up slowly. "Where do you think you’re going?"
He pointed the gun and fired.
Boom.
The rock shattered, and the Broodling was gone.
Zain put the gun back and looked around.
"Too easy."

Skybrand flew above, her eyes sharp.
"What kind of abilities are those?"
She narrowed her eyes.
"I’ve never seen abilities like that before."
She folded her arms, her wings steady in the air.
"Hm. Let’s just continue watching."
Zain walked deeper into the town.
He grinned as he stepped over broken stones and dead Broodlings.
"System, absorb the monster corpses in thirty minutes."

He smirked and kept moving.
The reason why he delayed the absorption was because he knew he was being watched.
He looked up at the sky for a second.
"So, the one watching is Skybrand, huh?"
"The hero that was embarrassed by Velra. I rember that."
He shook his head and kept walking.
"And Neuro... he suspects because of my na. Heavenly Demon."
Zain’s smile turned cold.
"Skybrand volunteered to follow because she hates Velra. She wants payback."
He paused near a cracked wall.
"Now that Neuro said maybe I’m related to the Heavenly Demon Sect, she decided to follow ."
He laughed softly and kept walking.
"Let her watch. I don’t care, as long as she stays out of my way."
He paused for a mont, his eyes sharp.
"But if she decides to attack , that’s another story."

Zain quickly walked into the nearest abandoned factory.
The walls were cracked, and the ceiling dripped with water.
He scanned the area and saw Broodlings crawling on the ground, hissing and waiting.
He smirked. "More of these little ones. Easy."
His eyes shifted, and he saw sothing bigger move in the shadows.
A tall, humanoid monster stepped into the light.
Its entire body was covered in bone armor, spikes on its arms and claws that dripped with black-green liquid.
Its face was just one huge, glowing eye.
Zain tilted his head.
"So these are the AA-rank soldiers the Sporelord made. Sporeguards."
He flexed his hands. "Perfect."
The Broodlings screeched and charged.
Zain cracked his neck. "Alright. Let’s warm up."
One Broodling jumped at him, mouth open.
Zain grabbed it by the throat and slamd it into the ground. "Too slow."
Another Broodling tried to bite his leg.
Zain kicked it so hard it hit the wall and didn’t get up.
"You’re not even worth the energy."
The Sporeguard stepped forward, its claws dripping.
Zain grinned. "Now that’s more like it."
The Sporeguard raised one claw, swinging it down with a roar.
Zain blocked with his arm, [Heavenly Demon Ether] glowing.
Sparks flew as the claw clashed with his energy.
Zain laughed. "Strong. Good. You’ll make a fine test."
The Sporeguard growled, its eye glowing brighter.
Black-green liquid dripped from its claws.
It lunged again, swinging both arms.
Zain ducked under the first swing and countered with a punch to the Sporeguard’s gut.
The Sporeguard staggered back, but it didn’t fall. It roared and swung again.
Zain caught one arm and twisted, flipping the monster over his shoulder.
Zain leaned down, his grin dark.
"You’re strong, but you’re not stronger than ."
The Sporeguard let out a low growl, its eye glowing.
It swung both arms wildly, but Zain stepped back, dodging every blow.
Zain’s eyes narrowed. "Enough playing."
He clenched his fists, [Heavenly Demon Ether] swirling around them.
"You’re all going to be my food. My practice."
The Sporeguard lunged one last ti, but Zain punched it in the chest.
His ether exploded inside the monster, and it fell to the ground, twitching.
Zain stepped over the body, eyes glowing."Who’s next?"
The instant he spoke, the ground trembled. Shadows moved.
Five more Sporeguards stepped out from the corners of the factory.
Zain frowned, his grin tightening. "Damn it. My mouth got again."
He raised his fists, [Heavenly Demon Ether] swirling around him.
"But still... the more, the better."
He took a deep breath, his grin widening.
"The more, the stronger I get."
He stared at the five Sporeguards, his eyes hungry.
"Bring it on."
