Tatter, who had been spooked by Alfred’s weird behavior, gradually beca solemn after hearing these words.

A pair of narrow eyes, like those of a hawk, stared intently at his dear friend, his kin.

"How did you know?" Tatter’s voice was sowhat suppressed.

He didn’t want to attack his own good friend, but assassinating the Hero was the most important secret of the Hidden Society. The Hidden Society had always lived in the shadows, but just recently, they had received an oracle that brought them out into the light.

"I naturally know..." Alfred smiled proudly, "Tatter, you deliberately got close to , wasn’t it to recruit into the Hidden Society and make one of the assassins against the Hero?"

"I want to see the leader of the Hidden Society. Perhaps, I could bring you more allies."

...

On the other hand, Selma and Fini dared not be negligent as it concerned whether their eldest sister could return to normal.

Although most of the materials Little Shaye ntioned were very precious, and they had never even heard of so, the two Princesses, after all, found it easy to search for anything with all the resources of the city at their disposal.

In less than a day, all the materials were gathered.

While Little Shaye was refining the Magic Potion, Qin Chu listened to Asina’s reports.

Controlling all the rats in the city took a huge toll on Asina, but the intelligence she gathered was far more than imagined, including so very important information.

Qin Chu did not act rashly to startle the snake, but rely instructed Asina to keep monitoring those important targets and to report any abnormalities to him at any ti.

A plan had already ford in Qin Chu’s heart.

By evening, Shaye’s Magic Potion Refining was successful.

Looking at the erald green liquid in the glass bottle, Miluo’s heart was still filled with worry; she didn’t know whether hope or despair awaited her.

Seeing Miluo’s expression, Little Shaye snorted, "Don’t worry, if I can’t solve your problem, no one else in this world can."

"After drinking the dicine, spend the night in this inn. If any abnormalities occur, you can inform at any ti."

After leaving those words, the proud Little Shaye turned and left, leaving Qin Chu, Miluo, Fini, and Selma to remain in silence.

"Go ahead and drink it, it can’t get any worse than this," Qin Chu said with a smile, trying to console Miluo.

Qin Chu’s gentle voice seed to give Miluo courage, and she herself was a bit annoyed. She was usually fearless, so why had she beco so hesitant now?

After a deep breath, Miluo pushed down the fear of disappointnt in her chest, held her head high, and downed the dicine in one gulp, even shaking her finger firmly to make sure not a single drop was left.

Right after swallowing the dicine, Miluo turned and locked herself in her room.

Qin Chu and the others knew Miluo’s mood; none went to disturb her.

In her room, Miluo peeled off her clothes, looking at the mirror at the furry body reflected back, her face showing a trace of sorrow.

After drinking the dicine, there was no reaction.

She didn’t know what her future held, only anxiously waited as ti ticked by without any change in her body, Miluo’s heart sank continuously.

Unconsciously, it had beco late at night, and the dicine still had not taken effect. Could it be that even the strongest Magician in the world, as Mr. Qin described, was powerless to help her condition?

The intense feeling of loss left Miluo feeling empty and in pain, but she didn’t bla Little Shaye. In fact, she felt sowhat grateful.

After all, this was her own matter, and Miss Shaye had no real obligation to assist, yet she had still busied herself all day for Miluo’s sake.

Even if it had no effect at all, Miluo resolved to properly thank Miss Shaye the next day, not wanting to leave any guilt in Little Shaye’s heart.

Miluo pondered in her heart and sighed silently for a long ti. Although this was not the first ti sothing like this happened, each ti the heartache was so severe it made her want to cry.

Her nose felt sour, and her large eyes blinked rapidly, as Miluo tried hard to control her tears and prevent them from rolling down her cheeks.

Then, she suddenly felt a tickling and a slight stinging sensation on her arm, as if she had been bitten by a mosquito.

Instinctively, Miluo reached out to scratch it.

Briefly, Miluo felt her fingertips seem to pick up sothing.

Her gaze involuntarily shifted to her arm, and she saw that where her fingers had scratched, a layer of dead skin with the fur had been peeled off, revealing the tender, pale skin underneath.

Miluo’s eyes shook violently, and her breathing beca rapid. She even began to suspect she was dreaming.

Upon looking in the mirror again, she saw her skin covered with wrinkled dead skin; so parts even showed cracked marks.

The itching sensation rapidly spread all over her body from her arm, and Miluo uncontrollably started scratching everywhere, with flaked-off skin falling from her body.

As she watched her smooth, hairless, tender skin in the mirror, Miluo’s body trembled uncontrollably, her throat undulated non-stop, and lips occasionally curled into a slight arc.
