Chapter 86: She is Like the Sun

Translator: Exodus Tales Editor: Exodus Tales

The university’s opening ceremony was done on Monday. It was located in the sports center that could house more than three thousand people. The ceremony was solemn and dignified. All of the students were in high spirits.

“Will you be joining the student council, Xiangxiang?” Ma Linlin brandished the application form and asked Yun Xiangxiang.

“I won’t,” Yun Xiangxiang thought that it was quite regrettable.

Being a mber of the student council in an institution of higher learning was extrely useful. They would be able to co into contact with more knowledge. She didn’t have the ti. It would be enough to just finish her major and not think about other stuff. She didn’t want to bite off more than she could chew.

“What about clubs?” Peng Xiaolu also questioned.

Yun Xiangxiang still shook her head, “I don’t have the ti.”

She had actually already received invitations from nurous clubs. She only knew about the wealth of the clubs’ genres then. She did take an interest in so of them, but it was a pity that she really didn’t have ti for them.

“Oh, Xiangxiang, will you really not be on campus half the ti after this?” Tao Manni was thunderstruck.

Yun Xiangxiang nodded, “I should be in the campus for this sester. I’ll be busy for the next.”

He Wei recomnded that she play in one more film before the new year starts. “Villainess” hadn’t started its preparation yet. It shouldn’t be the one she would star in. Now she had two scripts planned for next year, including Tiantian’s. There would also be award ceremonies, roadshows before movies launching, endorsents for new brands, etc arranged in between...

“Then what about your academics? You promised to be in the top ten of the course!” They didn’t gather that Yun Xiangxiang would really do this.

“So you have to work hard at recording and making notes. I’ll be counting on you girls.” Yun Xiangxiang batted her eyes at them.

“You can count on us for that. But I still hope that you could get a private tutor to help you in your studies. The three of us aren’t really top ten material,” Ma Linlin was frustrated. There was an overwhelming number of top students in their course.

Yun Xiangxiang packed her things. There was no class in the first period tomorrow. She wanted to go ho and get so rest, “I got it. I’ll be going back first.”

Even though Yun Xiangxiang was living off campus, the school still reserved a bed for her. It would be a waste to not use it.

Yun Xiangxiang decided to stay on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays if nothing happened. She could talk to her coursemates more, as well as catching up with any subject she was falling behind in.

Not only could she receive tutoring from Song Qian and Ai Li, she could also be by Yun Lin’s side. She wouldn’t hold any side up like this. Song Qian would send her to and fro between the campus and her ho. She didn’t have to worry about that.

“Brother Yong, can you make sothing like crab butter sauce that could go with rice? I want to give so to my friends. I can also bring it with during my filming.”

Ma Linlin and the others ca from other provinces, so it was better for them to have their als at the school cafeteria. It was good, but they would get sick of it if they had it all the ti. Sotis they didn’t even have their al if they were busy.

Not to ntion that even Wang Yong couldn’t make great dishes if she brought him to remote areas where she had to film. Not even the greatest chefs could whip up sothing out of nothing.

“I’ll do the shopping tomorrow and make your favorite mushroom sauce,” Wang Yong promised her at once.

Yun Xiangxiang revised the books she brought back. She would mark anything she couldn’t comprehend down before searching it online. Annotations would be added for those she managed to comprehend; while those that she couldn’t would be highlighted as important points.

It stemd from her habit during her ten years of script reading. Usually her scripts would be cramd with thick notes and colorful remarks.

It was almost 8:30 by the ti she finished revising. She went to her bed at 9:30 after showering and going through her skincare routine.

She didn’t sleep. Instead she folded her blanket and piled two cushions on top of it. She knelt in the structure she built.

And she started reading books about computers that Song Mian gave her earlier.

“I have heard about soone stabbing their thigh to keep themselves from sleeping during studying in ancient tis. What are you doing?” Song Qian pushed Yun Xiangxiang’s room’s door open when she saw that the lights were still on when she passed by. She was greeted by Yun Xiangxiang who was in such a strange position.

“Pressing my instep down.” Yun Xiangxiang’s gaze was still on the book.

“Why are you doing this out of nowhere?” Song Qian was concerned about Yun Xiangxiang.

“My senior said that it would be best if I can perform ballet during the concert,” Yun Xiangxiang flipped a page while answering.

True, her pose wasn’t half bad. However, her dance was choppy. Balance and support were just fine as they only needed an appropriate center of gravity. However, her instep would be the fatal flaw.

Xue Yu didn’t ask for a lot from her. He felt that the pose she learned in her previous life was enough. However, there would be tons of spectators during the concert. And there would be professionals among the crowd.

Either she forwent the dance altogether; or perford a decent one. It didn’t have to be elegant, but a shoddy job wouldn’t be acceptable.

“Your blood circulation would be blocked like this. Fifteen minutes is all it takes for you to lose the feeling of your instep,” Song Qian stepped forward and pulled Yun Xiangxiang up.

“It’ll be okay if I stretch it a hundred tis after this,” This was the thod that her instructor taught her in her previous life.

Song Qian rolled her eyes inelegantly. She had Yun Xiangxiang sit tight and straighten her feet on her lap, “This is a shortcut. It’ll hurt a little, so bear with it.”

Yun Xiangxiang fumbled with her towel before gagging herself with it. She didn’t want to scare Yun Lin at such a ti.

Song Qian held her ankle in one hand while covering her instep with the other. She bent it downwards bit by bit.

It only felt sore when it started. Gradually she felt her tendons tensing up. It felt like it would spring out from her feet the next second. Song Qian kept going on. The pain kept on mounting. Yun Xiangxiang was sweating heavily from the agony. Tears stread down her cheeks.

Song Qian only loosened her grip after doing this for around five minutes to massage Yun Xiangxiang. She started the process again right after Yun Xiangxiang recovered from the pain.

Song Qian didn’t stop until she did it three tis, “It might hurt but it won’t damage your feet. Almost every ballet learner’s tatarsal is deford. Not to ntion it’s easy to contract chronic periostitis. You’re just a special guest. Do you need to push yourself this hard?”

Yun Xiangxiang brushed her tears away while answering, “Senior’s thinking for all the ti. I don’t ask to be able to enrich his concert, but I also don’t want him to be doubted because of .”

Xue Yu had never invited any performing guests in all of his previous concerts. His concerts were already wildly popular by itself. It was a great risk to bring a newcor like her to the concert. She couldn’t just enjoy the fruits of his labor and fail him for giving her a pull.

Only by giving a hundred percent could she live up to any opportunity that was given to her.

She wouldn’t regret it even if she failed like this. Even if she put in ninety-nine percent of effort and failed, the fault fell upon her for not giving her all.

“No problem. Then I’ll press your instep for you every day!” Song Qian suddenly understood why even their young master fancied Yun Xiangxiang.

She was like the sun that guided people to climb to higher places.

“It won’t get in the way of everyday walking, right?” The pain was throbbing. Even if she could take it in right now, it still hurts.

“You’ll know tomorrow morning,” Song Qian gave her a cryptic smile before turning around and left the room.

The pain faded when Yun Xiangxiang woke up in the morning. The only thing was that her feet didn’t feel like hers. They felt squishy when she stepped on the floor. It didn’t hinder movent though.

The first day’s lectures were not hard for Yun Xiangxiang since she revised them beforehand.

Yun Xiangxiang discovered that universities were totally different from high school. The lecturers taught quickly, and they wouldn’t be as detailed.

The most important part was that they got out of the hall faster than the students when class was dismissed!
