Caspian closed the lid on his package and muttered his thanks to Ember. He stepped out of the kitchen with a silly smile on his face.
As he started to walking down the corridor from the kitchen, he took the left corridor, the shortcut to the royal court.
Chuckling to himself, Caspian covered his mouth with his hand, but he could still feel the large silly grin under his palms.
He could already hear the bickering of the elders as he drew closer to the throne room, and he could not be happier. Caspian held the mysterious box tightly to his chest as yet another silly smile crept up on his face. He ran his hand over his blonde hair in an effort to calm himself.
He just couldn’t wait to see the reactions on their faces when they heard the news for today and he couldn’t be happier that he would be there to witness their disbelief personally.
Caspian loved the thrill of watching the smiles on the elders’ faces turn into anger and then end in bitterness, every ti their wishes were not ant as they knew that they could not do anything about the issue and that Eiravyn always had the upper hand in every situation.
As Caspian got closer to the throne room where the etings were held, the voices of the elders got louder and louder, and he could tell they were already having a heated argunt about the increase in task prices.
Caspian nodded at the knights stationed at the double doors of the throne room, and the doors were pulled open for him to enter.
Even as he entered, the people seated on their assigned seats did not move nor turn, not even realizing that soone had entered the room as they were busy in a heated conversation.
"That’s even better," Caspian muttered to himself, as he quietly and swiftly went over to his assigned chair and sat down, bringing out the mysterious box, that turned out to be a pack of popcorn.
He brought it out of the fancy box to reveal another pack inside. Caspian opened the cover, grabbing a mouthful of popcorn, he threw it into his mouth as he watched amusedly at what the mbers of the council had to say...
...
Ava was irritated.
She had watched Eiravyn walked right past her and take the step to the fourth floor, leaving her with the servants.
She couldn’t believe that truly that girl stayed at the king’s floor (How Ava calls it) - as Ava saw it, the girl was not that beautiful the way she had expected her to be. She couldn’t understand Eiravyn’s mad obsession he had for her, with the way he behaved like the world would tear apart if she got missing.
The girl, whose na she didn’t even know, didn’t look like soone Eiravyn would normally go out with. She was a plain Jane, she only had a beautiful face, she wasn’t busty or that curvy.
So she had thought maybe Eiravyn wanted sothing different this ti around. She was grew up with Eiravyn and they were always attached to each other... cough, cough... she was always attached to him. But that didn’t matter, Ava still thought that when Eiravyn was done with his latest obsession he would co back to her.
There’s no way Eiravyn would settle for that girl. She looked weak and was not fit to be the queen, Ava thought. How she saw it, after two nights together Eiravyn would eventually get tired of her.
Like who can survive his prowess in bed? If not her. Ava thought with a coy smile.
But even with this thought, she was still very angry. She had tried going up to the fourth floor earlier when Eiravyn had stord off the other ti, but the knights stationed at the third floor chased her away, saying that only the queen gets to climb there.
Well isn’t that her? It’s only a matter of ti, How Ava sees it.
When she beca the queen she would teach each and everyone a lesson. Thought Ava, as she made her way to the second floor where she usually stays during her visit to the royal house.
She opened and closed the door with a loud bang, and picked up her phone from the table and called her father.
"Daddy," she whined.
"How did it go?" Lord Chamberlain’s voice sounded from the other end. He was still in the royal court and anything his daughter said would determine how the results of the court eting would be today. So he did not waste any ti listening to his daughter whining and directly asked her.
"Daddy, King Eiravyn ignored ."
Lord Chamberlain tutted from the other side, unwilling to listen to this right now. "Pumpkin, we can talk about that later, now about what we discussed. How did it go?"
Ava pouted while trying to think what they had discussed, before her eyes turned wide, she had completely forgotten about the mission to seduce Eiravyn before the council eting started today.
"I really tried my best. But King Eiravyn ignored and I could not go through with the plan. I’m sorry." said Ava.
Lord Chamberlain nearly scowled, but when he saw that the people in the eting were begining to pay attention to him, he quickly regained his façade with a false smile in his face.
"Okay pumpkin but I have to go now." Lord Chamberlain said, as he tried to end the call when he suddenly heard his daughter’s voice at the other end of the phone,
"What is it?" He asked.
"Daddy, when I was in the third floor..." she trailed off but her father cut her off.
"Get to the point."
"What I told you the other day is true! There’s a human staying in the royal house, and she’s currently staying in the king’s quarters. I’m not sure about her position, but it’s true!"
"Hmm..." Lord Chamberlain humd. ’This is truly interesting!’ And with that the call ended.
