rciless and unrelenting, Averie continued his horrifying assault.

He crushed Walter’s fingers, broke his cheekbone, and dislocated both his shoulders.

The sheer amount of pain the man had to go through was enough to scar him for a lifeti.

Averie held him by the hair and raised his head. He forced the old man to stare into his amber eyes.

They were full of thirst for blood, but Walter recognized them. Fear far stronger than before filled his bones.

He had ruined plenty of other actors. And unlike Averie, they didn’t have a chance to save themselves or return from their fall from grace. But even those poor souls would not have resorted to such violence.

Averie’s extre search for violence truly terrified him. He could not understand how he found him, even though they had never t.

A man without any backing had done sothing this ridiculous. Either he had soone big supporting him from the shadows, or he was outright insane. Either possibility seed like a nightmare to Walter.

"You think you have power until you realize there are so who are willing to take matters into their own hands."

He tapped the wrench on the ground.

"Do you realize now who I am?"

Walter did not say anything. He kept his gaze to the ground.

"In the end, nothing is more powerful than violence, Mr. Dean."

He looked at the nearest security cara and opened his eyes wide. He wanted them to see the color of his eyes. He wanted them to have just enough information that they would suspect but couldn’t convict him.

"But I am not going to kill you. I am going to make you suffer a painful recovery. I want your family, your coworkers, Weisin, and the industry to see your miserable state."

’Then, they will fear .’

"Please tell them Averie Quinn Auclair did it."

With that, Averie swung the wrench with all his power behind it. It connected with Walter’s chin.

He was knocked out.

Averie searched the old man’s pockets, where he found a wallet and keys.

The wallet contained nurous cards. Journalists, other talent agencies, talent scouts, TV station executives, politicians—he had connections to them all.

"Big deal, aren’t we?" Averie muttered, stealing so of the cards.

He stuffed the bloody old man into the trunk of the car and threw the lug wrench on top.

He secured the trunk and got into the driver’s seat. The key was already in, and the phone was ringing.

There was no caller ID. It was an unsaved number.

Averie picked up the call but didn’t say anything.

"Where are you?" It was a low, rough voice. It sounded calm but cautious. "Hello? Can you hear ?"

"No, he can’t."

A mont’s silence.

"Who are you?"

"You’ll know soon."

Averie cut the call.

He checked all his contacts, recent calls, ssages, and emails.

Many celebrities appeared to be on good terms with him. Most of them were diocre actors in Averie’s eyes. Most of them were young.

’Aren’t these the ones who were jealous of my sudden rise to popularity?’

In the last week, Walter had sent a significant amount of ssages to certain journalists and editors.

Averie recognized them all. These were the ones most critical of Averie during the recent scandal.

Unfortunately, the ssages were deleted. But with ti, it wouldn’t be difficult to find sothing incriminating.

’You won’t go unpunished either.’

He switched off the device, took out the SIM card, and crushed the phone by running the car over it.

Averie drove out of the area with the man out cold in the back. He had to get out to open the gate, which required a key that he had taken from Walter.

He threw a quick peace sign for the security cara before getting back in.

He drove through downtown Seoul and stopped right in front of a hospital building.

He had no idea whether it was a good facility or not, and he didn’t even care.

Averie opened the trunk, picked up Walter like a bag of garbage, and dropped him at the hospital gates.

"Whether you die or survive is all up to you now, Mr. Consequences."

He kicked him towards the entrance, but the unconscious man would not get up.

"Crawl up the stairs when you wake up. It’s only a few ters."

He took the car and left the man behind.

’Where to next?’

He had no idea. Everything up until that point had gone according to plan, but the rest of it was completely unplanned.

Averie rembered the SIM card in his pocket. He needed to retrieve information out of it before getting rid of it. But that was too risky.

The mont he inserted the card into a device, it would send a signal to the nearest phone tower.

’There is a better way. Why do it yourself when soone else can do it for you?’

He drove to the AweScreen publication building, crafted an envelope from a contract he found in the car, and placed the SIM in it.

He wrote, in a deliberately hard-to-read hand, the following words:

Dear Ms. Sara Lee,

Please accept this gift of my appreciation.

Morning news is always so romantic. The contacts are never not scandalous. Write your findings before the lawful man steals it.

Yours glamorously,

Sinner.

The doors were locked, so Averie pushed the envelope through the little gap underneath.

Satisfied, he took his leave and drove to a remote location.

He searched the vehicle for any incriminating evidence, but there was none. He took out the lug wrench and shattered the car’s windshield and windows. It was a therapeutic activity that he enjoyed very much.

’Why don’t people do this more often?’

He would have loved to burn it, but he didn’t have any fuel. So, he did the next best thing possible.

He cleaned the glass off the driver’s seat and drove towards the nearest jetty. It seed to have been abandoned long ago and was under construction.

Only the holess were around.

Averie had the most exciting idea.

He drove to the edge of the jetty, broke through the barrier, and jumped out of the car before it hit the water.

The splash it made woke up the nearby runaway teens.

"Go back ho, kids." Averie laughed like a maniac. "You shouldn’t be here. The world is full of psychos."

Watching Averie cackle like a nutjob, so of them took the advice to heart.

Afterward, the tired actor left the place. Instead of taking the cab again, he chose to walk the distance.

It took hours of sneaking through surveilled areas before Averie reached the back alleys.

The group of hobos from before had fallen asleep.

Watching them sleep peacefully, Averie took off his mask and threw it into the bonfire.

There he was—the glamorous Averie Quinn Auclair.

He had kept his earrings, rings, chains, and piercings back at Hyerin’s place. Still, no one could deny his devilish air.

’One taken care of.’

He continued his journey back ho. Just as the first light of dawn broke, he reached Hyerin’s apartnt.

He took a shower, changed into comfortable clothes, and washed the blood off his attire. He cleaned the bathroom to make sure not a single drop of evidence was left behind.

He had to walk the line between teasing and prison ti. He was planning to terrify and entertain the entire nation.

He wanted them to understand how truly fearso a man could get. Not everything was jokes and gas.

He was a dignified actor who chased art over everything else. He was not so animal behind the bars of the zoo. That wasn’t the kind of entertainnt he was providing.

He was not like the other celebrities.

He was a violent and twisted sinner.

He was spiteful and bloodthirsty.

He was the Devil’s most beloved actor.

He was Hell’s Actor.
