“Another order ca in.”

Bullhorse glanced toward the door.

The hinged board was pushed open again, and that bony, skeletal hand slowly stretched inside.

“I’m really curious— is it just a hand?” Liu Zheng asked.

“No idea. Why don’t you pull it in and find out?” Bullhorse egged him on.

“Let turn into a non-human too first, then maybe.”

“Tch.”

Bullhorse made a shushing sound and ignored him.

Liu Zheng walked over and picked up the new delivery order.

“Dish: One Fishman Family Bucket”

“Address: Green Osmanthus Garden, Crazy City, Building 4, Room 606”

“Ti limit: One hour”

He opened the map. At his current speed, it would take roughly half an hour.

Looks like a simple order, just like the first one.

“By the way, boss, how do I know in which situations I can deliver physically?”

With his current strength, he shouldn’t have to be as careful as at the beginning.

“No way. Even I can’t be completely sure.”

Bullhorse shook his head.

“If you can negotiate, then negotiate. If not, then just damn well do it. In the Bloody Restaurant, don’t expect to live long enough to retire.”

It said lazily.

“All right then.”

Liu Zheng shrugged.

After checking the dish, he headed out straight to Delago.

From far away, he could already hear the chainsaw-like twitching song of the plane tree.

“Aux ars, citoyens!”

“Forz vos bataillons!”

“Marchons, marchons!”

A tree singing the Marseillaise, and solo at that, quite romantic.

Liu Zheng chuckled inwardly, but his footsteps unconsciously matched the rhythm.

Thick hooves stomped on the asphalt like war drums, echoing through the street.

Delago seed to notice and sang even louder.

“Qu’un sang impur!”

“Abreuve nos sillons!”

When he arrived near the black soil land, Delago waved all its branches wildly, giving a perfect ending to the performance.

“A fine accompanint, makes my roots spin, love cos from Fra... HOLY SHIT!”

Delago turned to look at Liu Zheng, its features all twisted in shock.

“That last line wasn’t French, right?”

Liu Zheng said with fake wide eyes.

“Of course, cursing should be in English. Wait, how did you end up like this?”

Delago was stunned.

“I ate raw black goat kid sashimi and drank Hell Rock Cola, that’s how.”

He shrugged his tentacles.

“Haha, serves you right for stealing my cola.”

Delago laughed heartily.

“Hey, we’re business partners at least, can you show so sympathy?”

Liu Zheng said speechlessly.

“I don’t even have a heart, let alone sympathy. Did you lose your brain too?”

Delago rolled its eyes.

“Heh. Fine, I’ll just keep that thing for myself then.”

It turned to leave.

“Wait, you brought hair moss?”

Delago asked excitedly.

“Hair moss? What kind of quality is worth trading a Paradise Island Double Vacation Voucher for?”

Liu Zheng sneered.

“Seriously?”

Delago’s eyes widened.

It definitely knew the value of the Paradise Island Double Vacation Voucher. What kind of drink was worth that? It flashed through its mind—dozens of legendary fine wines.

“Watch closely.”

Liu Zheng opened the wine box, then imdiately closed it.

Although only a mont, Delago still saw the bright red blood wine.

“La vache! Quickly, show it in my mouth.”

Delago scread.

Green saliva oozed from its lips, dripping onto the black soil.

“Can you really afford the trade?”

Liu Zheng said arrogantly.

“Foolish human, my wealth exceeds your imagination.”

Delago sneered back.

“Don’t waste my ti with useless stuff. You know I only want what’s practical for .”

It emphasized.

“Well…”

Delago was a bit troubled.

Although it lived off the land, it didn’t have many collectibles of that level, even fewer suitable for Liu Zheng.

Should it really bring that thing out?

Delago hesitated; it had paid a great price for it, and its actual value was far higher than a bottle of wine.

But that was the Vlad III Limited Edition.

Missing out on such a wine would be a betrayal to its noble French bloodline.

“Putain, it’s traded!”

Delago said forcefully.

Then, a tree root broke through the soil, holding a storage box in front of Liu Zheng.

Inside the box was a neatly folded yellow vest.

“Na: Legendary Deliveryman’s Vest”

“Type: Item”

“Quality: Perfect”

“Effect 1: All attributes increase by 50 during delivery.”

“Effect 2: Immunity to most rationality loss during delivery.”

“Effect 3: Attacks against most targets deal true damage during delivery.”

“Can it be taken out of the dungeon: No”

“Note: Negative reviews or survival—you can only choose one.”

Fierce, utterly fierce.

Liu Zheng looked at the yellow vest with a hunger even greater than Delago’s when it saw the blood wine.

A luxurious effect with absurd numbers.

This wasn’t just an item; it was straight-up a cheat.

“How about it? Enough to trade for your wine?”

Delago said proudly.

“Enough. I’m just curious—how did you get this?”

He asked.

To beco a legendary deliveryman, strength surely wouldn’t be weaker than Bullhorse’s.

With the vest’s boost, beating Delago shouldn’t be a problem.

“Don’t ask what you shouldn’t.”

Delago said with a disgruntled look.

“Co on, man, what’s there to hide?”

Liu Zheng encouraged.

“Who said I’m hiding anything, man? This was a Valentine’s Day gift from him.”

Delago glanced at him disdainfully, then revealed the truth.

“Valentine’s Day gift?”

Liu Zheng looked at its rough bark, old subway phone face.

“That’s what he thinks. To , it’s just a transaction.”

Delago snorted.

“Transaction? What kind of transaction?”

His confused gaze swept across Delago’s trunk, finally resting on its mouth.

“Oh.”

Liu Zheng seed to understand everything.

“Enough of that, co, drink.”

Before Delago could react, he took out the Vlad III Limited Edition and poured it onto the roots.

“Slow down, slow down, do you know what wine tasting ans?”

Delago said with pity, quickly extending more roots to catch the spilled wine.

Monts later, the entire bottle was empty.

“Quel pied!” ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ NoveIꜰire

Delago let out a satisfied groan; it felt like every chloroplast in its cells was cheering.

“Pleasure doing business.”

Liu Zheng put away the yellow vest and turned to leave.

His order wasn’t finished yet; no ti to indulge Delago’s drunken antics.

After walking a dozen ters, Liu Zheng put on the vest, which automatically transford into a style suitable for him.

A warm current surged into his body, filling him with strength.

Liu Zheng swung his tentacles forward, four swinging wildly in the air, roaring like industrial fans.

“If only I had a bucket of ice in this sumr, who wouldn’t be dazed by this breeze?”

He thought proudly.

Too bad he couldn’t keep this form in reality; otherwise, he’d either be dissected for research or made into sashimi.

Stopping the giant windmill, Liu Zheng sprinted full speed.

The scenery vanished rapidly from his sight like ga textures failing to load in ti.

The bone cane kept stabbing the ground, sparks about to fly.

“Hm?”

Suddenly, he stopped.

From a building straight ahead to his right, Liu Zheng sensed a gaze full of malice.

The malice was so thick, it stood out among all the hidden peering eyes.

Squinting, he approached the three-story building.

As he got closer, the malice deepened.

At the sa ti, that gaze seed to retreat.

“Scared?”

Liu Zheng was stunned for a mont, then stretched his mouth into an exaggerated arc, revealing a set of sharp fangs.

He raised his tentacles and launched a furious barrage of strikes at the door.

The thick rolling shutter door twisted under the heavy blows, the whole building seeming to shiver.

“Peeping bastard, if you’ve got guts, co out and face head-on!”

Liu Zheng shouted wildly.

Soon, the rolling shutter door collapsed with a crash under his one-sided assault.

Inside the building was pitch black, only a phosphorescent flash flickered briefly.

“Rationality loss immunity succeeded.”

The system notification flashed quickly.

“I thought you were so scary, but turns out you’re just cowards who bully the weak like .”

He looked around disdainfully.

No one responded, many spying eyes quietly vanished.

“Tch!”

He spat a mouthful of foul-slling saliva on the ground and continued toward the delivery address.
