Hers, Breguet, Twin Wolves, and other world-famous brands all had stores on the top floor. Every item was sold directly by the company—all of them genuine treasures. Ordinary people could shop up to the ninth floor at most. The forty-ninth floor, however, was a luxury they couldn’t even dream of, which was why it was rather deserted.

Tang Xuewu arrived at the top floor, supporting Qin Long by the arm. She was dazzled the mont she stepped inside. She had used items like these three years ago. Back then, the Tang Family, despite being a third-rate family, could still afford such luxuries. Later, however, because of Qin Long, her grandfather had canceled their inner courtyard qualifications and cut off all their benefits. Naturally, they could no longer afford these things.

She had no complaints, though; they were just worldly possessions, after all. Still, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia.

Tang Xuewu stopped beside a purple chiffon dress, her eyes lingering on it for a good ten seconds. Just as she was about to step closer, she heard a disdainful sneer.

"Hey, move it along."

Startled, Tang Xuewu took a few steps back as a sales associate in a black uniform approached, her expression hostile. She was clearly the salesperson for this particular boutique. Although just a salesperson, she worked in a high-end designer store. She would naturally rush to fawn over custors from noble families, but toward the poor, she was utterly annoyed and disdained even speaking to them.

After all, the dresses in our store are designed by top-tier designers. They aren’t sothing any Tom, Dick, or Harry can afford to wear. This sense of superiority was second nature to her.

"Hey, what’s a country bumpkin like you doing in a store like this?" the woman said, her tone cold as she scanned Tang Xuewu’s plain clothes. As a top salesperson, I have a good eye for these things. There’s no way this woman can afford anything in here.

Tang Xuewu’s entire outfit looked like it ca from a street stall and was probably worth less than her own white stockings. The salesperson didn’t even try to hide the contempt in her eyes. That hesitation is typical of the lower class. She’s definitely one of them. It doesn’t matter if she’s stunningly beautiful; beauty doesn’t pay the bills or buy designer bags.

"I suppose this dress isn’t for , after all," Tang Xuewu sighed, a touch of self-mockery in her voice.

The woman crossed her arms, her expression disdainful. A classic sign of a guilty conscience. A bunch of paupers, completely broke but still desperate to save face.

"It’s understandable if you’ve never seen a dress this high-end before," she said, before coldly pointing at Tang Xuewu’s clothes. "But this is not the kind of clothing you paupers can afford. Your entire outfit combined isn’t even worth one of my stockings. What if you touched it and left a smudge? Could you afford to pay for that?" Her gaze was taunting, and her voice rose a few decibels.

Tang Xuewu let out a helpless laugh. What an unbelievable snob. It’s true that I haven’t bought such expensive dresses in years, but I used to be the Tang Family’s most beloved little princess, a regular custor here. It was only because of Qin Long that I slowly drifted away from this world.

"What do you an? I can’t even look at or touch the dresses in your store? What kind of ridiculous rule is that?" Tang Xuewu retorted, leaving the woman montarily speechless.

The woman’s face flushed for an instant, but she quickly recovered with another sneer. "That’s right. For soone like you, even looking is forbidden, let alone touching or trying it on!" The sales associate had completely lost her patience. "Do you have any idea how much this dress costs? You can’t afford to even breathe on it!" she shrieked at Tang Xuewu.

"Oh, this dress is so lovely..." Just then, a pretty young woman walked over and picked up the very purple dress Tang Xuewu had been admiring. She began running her fingers over the fabric, feeling its texture.

The saleswoman who had been mocking Tang Xuewu imdiately scurried over to the newcor. "Oh my, miss, this dress would look wonderful on you! This is a purple chiffon gown, the latest design from Master Liu. You can try it on right over here. You’ll look just like a fairy." The saleswoman’s face was a mask of flattery, her eyes fixed on the blue necklace around the young woman’s neck.

"I thought you weren’t allowed to touch the rchandise?" Tang Xuewu asked coolly, her brow furrowed.

An abrupt, sharp silence fell over the area. The saleswoman whipped her head around and glared at Tang Xuewu with resentnt. "Hey, are you that bored? You look pretty enough, so how can you be so dense? You’re a country bumpkin. You should be happy just to look, so why are you forcing to spell it out for you?" The woman scoffed, crossing her arms in utter disdain.

"What kind of thing is that to say? You’re a sales associate. How can you show such blatant favoritism?" Tang Xuewu argued, standing her ground.

"Oh, please. Are you saying you deserve the sa service I do? That’s hilarious," the young woman who was about to try on the dress interjected coldly. "The rags you’re wearing couldn’t even pay for one of the buttons on my coat. You want to compete with for this dress? Are you even worthy?" The young woman pointed haughtily at Tang Xuewu’s clothes and burst into derisive laughter.

"Exactly! You, miss, are a noble princess," the saleswoman chid in, covering her mouth as she laughed. "She’s just a delusional country girl, not even in the sa league. To think she’d co here just to satisfy her pathetic vanity... It’s just too funny." They paid Tang Xuewu no mind whatsoever.

Tang Xuewu bit her lip, deciding it was best to ignore the two of them.

"Hey now, did I strike a nerve?" the young woman taunted. "How about this? I, a princess, can bestow upon you one of my old dresses. How does that sound, bumpkin? Lowly people have no business being in high-class places. Aren’t you just asking to be humiliated?"

Hearing this, the other onlookers began to whisper and jeer amongst themselves.

"My Lady is the noblest of princesses," a cold female voice suddenly cut in. "In her presence, you are less than insignificant."

A woman dressed in a black jacket and leather pants was slowly approaching while supporting a man with a cane. She had just stepped aside to take a call from Zhao Ruoying about the Snow Heart Grass and had only returned to find Tang Xuewu being mocked. Anger filled Qin Long’s expression.

The mont the crowd saw the newcors, the boutique fell silent. Although the man looked quite ordinary, the woman in the black jacket beside him exuded an air of nobility. Even her earrings looked priceless. For a woman like that to call this country girl ’Lady’... and she’s supporting that man on the cane... The onlookers imdiately grew suspicious of Qin Long’s identity.

"Qin Long, I don’t like anything here," Tang Xuewu said, knowing his temper and not wanting to cause a scene. "Let’s go look sowhere else."

"The purple dress is nice," Qin Long said, shaking his head slightly. He started walking into the boutique, leaning on his cane. "We’ll buy it and you can put it away. Maybe one day you’ll feel like wearing it."

"Alright... I’ll listen to you," Tang Xuewu relented. She paused for a mont before following him inside.

The onlookers didn’t dare to speak recklessly, as they had no idea who Qin Long was or what power he held. The woman in the black jacket glared at the saleswoman and the haughty girl.

"Weren’t you two quite arrogant just a mont ago? Did you not hear what our Young Master Qin said?"
