Even walking had sotis felt exhausting, but after Qin Long’s treatnt, she had regained her vigor and vitality. The feeling was beyond words, as comfortable as having just received a therapeutic massage. She hadn’t felt this way in a very long ti, but today, she finally did.
Everyone present was beside themselves with excitent. They all witnessed Jiang Haijing’s transformation. Before, her eyes had been lifeless, and she exuded a sense of decline. Now, not only had her vitality returned, but her complexion and features also looked much younger. She looked like a girl in her early twenties! And this was all the result of Qin Long’s Golden Needle acupuncture.
He truly is a dical Immortal!
"Young Master Qin, am I recovered now?" Jiang Haijing asked Qin Long eagerly.
"Halfway there," Qin Long replied.
"What else do I need to do?" Jiang Haijing imdiately asked, bowing respectfully.
"An old injury of yours caused negative energy to invade your body, leading to nstrual irregularity and infertility," Qin Long explained. "Unless that root cause is removed, you can never beco a mother."
Upon hearing this, Jiang Haijing nodded fervently. She had been feeling unwell before, especially exhausted every night.
"I have already cured the root of the problem for you," Qin Long said, taking a sip of tea as he looked at Jiang Haijing.
"Young Master Qin, if I’m cured, why did you say I’m only halfway there?" Jiang Haijing asked, puzzled.
"Can you get pregnant by yourself?" Qin Long asked bluntly. "I will write you a prescription. Go ho and take it with your husband for three days. Be intimate during this period, and I guarantee you’ll fulfill your wish to beco a mother!"
"Really? Thank you so much, Young Master Qin!" Jiang Haijing promised, her hands trembling. "If there’s anything you need in the future, Young Master Qin, just ask. I will definitely help."
"You flatter ," Qin Long replied, waving his hand with a calm and composed deanor. To him, performing acupuncture like this was a trivial matter.
"Young Master Qin, I’d like you to take a look at as well. I’ve been having severe headaches recently. Could you give acupuncture too..."
The wealthy won nearby imdiately crowded around, looking at Qin Long with pleading eyes. They scrambled over each other, one even pulling out a bank card with five million on it. But Qin Long ignored them all, clearly unwilling to help. Seeing this, they could only back down.
「anwhile.」
In Tang Xuewu’s private room, Zhang ide’s deanor had switched from obsequious to arrogant in an instant, as if her desperate pleading with Zhang ilan monts ago had never happened. Tang Xuewu had seen through her uncle’s family long ago; if she weren’t worried about Qin Long, she would have already left.
"Xuewu, pour so wine," Zhang ide said, raising her glass of red wine and looking at Tang Xuewu mockingly. "But tell honestly, does that fool you’re with really know a few big bosses?"
"I suppose so," Tang Xuewu replied noncommittally, not entirely sure herself.
"Well, that’s perfectly normal," Zhang ide scoffed. "It’s like they say, ’one rich man in a village of nine poor souls makes ten millionaires on paper.’ What others have is never as good as what you have for yourself! My Mingjie, on the other hand, is different. He knows many important people, and they are all genuinely his friends, haha."
Zhang ide paused deliberately to savor a sip of her red wine. Nearby, Li Mingjie had reverted to his previous gentlemanly and aloof deanor. He had been afraid earlier, worried that Qin Long actually knew a major figure like Mr. Jiang.
But now that he knew they were strangers, what was there to fear?
"Hmph! That freeloader," Zhang ilan muttered, her teeth practically itching with frustration, her expression sour. "If only he really did know a big shot like Mr. Jiang, that would have been great."
"Xuewu, listen," Zhang ide began scheming again. "Mingjie has a lot of friends in the Jiangzhong governnt, all of them young and rich. With your figure and charisma, wouldn’t any one of them be better than a cripple? Besides, you two aren’t even legally married."
"Exactly, Xuewu," Li Mingjie imdiately chid in, gently setting down his wine glass. "I happen to know a guy whose family owns a mine. He’s hundreds of tis better than Qin Long."
How ridiculous, Tang Xuewu thought. They can barely save themselves, yet they’re worried about others.
Suddenly, the door was pushed open. A hostess personally supported Qin Long as she escorted him in.
"Oh my, I’m so scared!" Zhang ide sneered when she saw Qin Long. "Why didn’t Madam Zhao herself escort you back?"
Qin Long had deliberately refused the offers from Zhao Ruoying and Jiang Haijing to help him walk.
"Xuewu, let’s go ho," Qin Long said, looking tenderly at Tang Xuewu and completely ignoring their yapping.
"Alright." Tang Xuewu imdiately helped Qin Long up and started walking out. If she hadn’t been waiting for him, she would have left long ago.
"Don’t go, Qin Long!" Zhang ide deliberately shouted after them. "I was just introducing so talented young n to Xuewu."
"Young Master Qin, even if you know a few big bosses," Li Mingjie also shouted, "it’s what you have yourself that truly matters! Stop clinging to Xuewu and ruining her future!"
"I can give Xuewu anything she wants," Qin Long called back over his shoulder without stopping. "She will only ever be protected by . By the way, you’d better worry about yourself. Don’t co crying when things go south, alright?" He gave a dismissive wave.
"Qin Long, what the fuck are you talking about?" Li Mingjie said, his tone turning ugly.
Qin Long slowly turned his head and gave him a wicked smile. "Isn’t there a vacancy for a cesspool cleaner at your workplace?" he asked nonchalantly.
"That’s right," Li Mingjie laughed. "The cesspool cleaner makes several thousand a month. Are you interested in the job?"
Their eyes t, the air thick with animosity. Qin Long, however, couldn’t care less.
"Li Mingjie, I hope you find your true value in that cesspool cleaner position," Qin Long said as he turned and walked away with Tang Xuewu’s support. "Mr. Jiang has high hopes for you, you know."
"What the fuck do you an by that!" Li Mingjie shouted, rushing out of the room in a rage. "Qin Long, you waste, explain yourself!"
He could insult Qin Long, but he would not tolerate being insulted in return. Qin Long, however, completely ignored him.
"Qin Long, you think you’re so great just because you know Mr. Jiang’s close friend?" Li Mingjie yelled, clenching his fists, his expression cold and rciless. "Do you really think you can interfere in governnt affairs? Let tell you sothing: I, Li Mingjie, am an elite, favored by my superiors. Compared to , you’re nothing!"
"ilan, let’s go," Tang De said, angrily pulling Zhang ilan away.
After Tang Xuewu’s family had left, the others were still seething.
"He knows Zhao Ruoying and suddenly thinks he’s so impressive!"
"How dare he lecture our Mingjie!"
"Haha, in Mr. Jiang’s eyes, he’s probably worth less than a dog. And he has the nerve to stand here baring his teeth?"
Zhang ide’s family sneered, thoroughly incensed.
Just then, Li Mingjie’s phone rang.
"Director Wang, what can I do for you?" Li Mingjie’s face beca a mask of flattery. He motioned for everyone to be quiet and imdiately put the call on speaker. Director Wang was his direct superior, while Mr. Jiang was a much higher-level official. His recent promotion had been thanks to Director Wang’s approval.
"Li Mingjie, you’ve really got so nerve!" Director Wang’s cold voice crackled through the phone.
Li Mingjie sensed sothing was terribly wrong.
"Director Wang, what do you an?" he asked, feeling a terrible sense of dread.
