Ch.18 Go talk to my money

“This is… the power of a pay-to-win warrior!”

Luo Nan flexed his wrists, feeling the boiling sensation of battle vital energy surging through the ridians in his arms. “Indeed, only by striking flesh against flesh can one truly promote the fusion of battle’s vital energy and muscles!”

Although Luo Nan had used three vials of the highest-quality body-refining elixir last night, preliminarily refining his body to the perfect state of early Tier One, the coordination between flesh and battle vital energy cannot be improved solely through cultivation.

The pathways of battle’s vital energy within the body, the reinforcent of corresponding muscles, and even the coordinated exertion among different muscle groups—all must be based on one’s personal physical condition and honed through repeated real combat.

“You’re at peak Tier One, right? Perfect—you can be my sparring partner.”

Luo Nan gradually entered his fighting state. He glanced at the black-ard man struggling to rise from the ground, calmly waiting for him to use the black, flowing substance on his right arm to heal his internal injuries.

“Luo Nan von dillon, you want

to be your sparring partner?” The man wiped the black blood oozing from the corner of his mouth. “Do you think that rely relying on external objects and gaining a slight advantage due to my carelessness ans you’re stronger than ?”

“In that case, I’ll show you… the true gap between supernaturals!”

“I couldn’t ask for more!”

Luo Nan stripped off his casual clothes, revealing the silver-glowing scale-patterned vibration suit beneath. The adhesive suit clung tightly to his muscles, accentuating his already perfect physique even more strikingly.

Boom—

The silver and black figures instantly collided. The viscous, flowing blackness surged like tidal waves, layer upon layer crashing toward the silver.

Yet the silver figure stood like a massive rock amid the waves, immovable despite the overwhelming onslaught.

“Haha, yes, exactly like this—co on, push

to my limits!”

Luo Nan raised his arm to deflect the black fist smashing toward him, slightly twisted his waist backward, and seized the mont when the black-ard man had not yet recovered his balance—delivering a whip-like kick straight into his waist.

“Hmph…”

The black-ard man grunted as he took the blow, slightly bending forward and retreating backward.

“Damn, are you really only early Tier One?” The man pressed his black arm against his waist; the flowing blackness was spreading inward, healing his injuries.

Clearly, he was shocked by Luo Nan’s strength, speed, and even technique.

“Well… how should I put it? I think even the most diligent martial artist wouldn’t have practiced ‘Seventeen Forms of Body Tempering’ as many tis as I have.”

Luo Nan recalled the countless tis he had practiced ‘Seventeen Forms of Body Tempering’ since childhood. “Do you know how many tis an ‘insulator’ who couldn’t touch the supernatural tried, just for that minuscule sliver of possibility?”

Although ‘Seventeen Forms of Body Tempering’ is considered foundational martial arts for martial initiates, it still originates from practical combat techniques.

Luo Nan, even before becoming a playboy, had begun practicing this foundational martial art early due to his status as a ‘supernatural insulator’.

While other children paused their training upon sensing the supernatural, waiting for their bodies to mature, Luo Nan practiced repeatedly; while other children matured and successfully entered the supernatural realm, Luo Nan practiced repeatedly.

Combined with his body, which had been nourished and refined since childhood by heavenly treasures and earthly rarities, one could say Luo Nan had long integrated this foundational martial art into every breath and movent.

“Besides,” Luo Nan shook his right arm and slowly walked toward the black-ard man, “what right do you, a trash dependent on Abyssal blessings, have to call

‘relying on external objects’?”

Before his words even finished, Luo Nan instantly closed the distance. Silver light blazed from his body; his limbs and torso moved as one, unleashing a dense barrage of attacks like falling raindrops, firmly suppressing the black-ard man who had just finished healing but hadn’t yet assud a proper stance.

“Shut up! The Lord’s blessing… is part of … my power belongs to myself!”

The man seed provoked by Luo Nan’s words. His face twisted grotesquely as he roared loudly. The blackness on his right arm seed to sense his desire, continuously spreading across half his body.

“You nobles… how could you possibly understand my struggle and suffering!!!”

Once the blackness completely engulfed half his body, the black-ard—no, now half-black—man could no longer speak, only emitting low, hoarse roars venting his rage.

“Shit, there’s a second Tier?”

After the blackness covered half his body, Luo Nan clearly felt the man’s power surge.

Not only strength, but also speed, reaction ti, and even wound-healing ability has been comprehensively improved—seemingly breaking through to Tier Two.

“This is troubleso. Fighting beyond my tier—I still can’t quite manage that!”

After all, he had only just entered the supernatural realm yesterday and stabilized at early Tier One. Directly jumping an entire major Tier?

Sorry, he’s not the protagonist—he can’t do it.

Crossing his arms, he blocked the cannon-like punch from the half-black man and used the force to leap backward, creating distance between them.

“So what if the enemy is ‘paying with life’? Can soone ‘paying with life’ defeat soone ‘paying with money’?”

With that, Luo Nan pulled out another ‘Sealed Purifying Light’ crystal, gripped it in his right hand without hesitation, and instantly activated it.

“Take my ‘Purifying Demon-Breaking Fist’!”

Luo Nan abandoned his previous defensive posture, calculated the timing of the crystal’s explosion in his palm, and before the half-black man could react, closed in and instantly reduced the distance between them.

“Go argue with the Dawn Goddess!”

Ignoring the fist smashing into his body, Luo Nan let the pain spread throughout his body—he simply clenched his right fist and thrust it forward.

Light!

Dazzling holy light erupted from Luo Nan’s fist, instantly dispelling the increasingly dense black mist around them.

At the point of explosion, the silver fist had transford into a straight palm, striking the man’s blackened half-chest. Blazing radiance pierced through his deep-black body, causing the man to erupt in an agonized scream.

“Rember this: the reason I fight you fist to flesh isn’t because I only know how to fight fist to flesh—it’s because I want to fight fist to flesh.”

Luo Nan watched as half the man’s body gradually cracked and the blackness on him slowly evaporated by the dazzling holy light. He continued, “Once I decide to end this battle, the money in my hand will beco an insurmountable mountain for you.”

“How’s the taste? Authentic Church-produced Purifying Light, right?”

“…”

“Well, looks like he’s out of breath.”

Luo Nan walked over to the middle-aged man collapsed on the ground, half his body rotten and shattered, carefully observing his condition.

“Hmm, definitely dead. Taking a point-blank shot of Purifying Light—if you don’t have nine lives, then…”

“Be more careful next life—don’t worship the Abyss again.”

Withdrawing his gaze, Luo Nan surveyed the surroundings. Since most of the Purifying Light’s effect had been absorbed by the black-ard man, the vast majority of the room remained shrouded in black mist.

In the distance, the girl’s sharp shouts and the Abyss cultists’ roars continued.

“It seems Anya’s battle isn’t over yet… Fine, I’ll use another one.”

With that, Luo Nan picked up his coat, put it on, and pulled out another Purifying Light crystal, activating it in his hand.

“Miss Anya, get ready—the Purifying Light is coming!”
