"Miss, are you alright?"

The young man approached her, his voice calm and gentle, pulling her from her thoughts.

Startled, she looked up, eting his handso face. For a mont, she was puzzled.

'Has he not awakened his mories yet?: she wondered.

She had assud he recognized her, especially after going out of his way to buy her clothes. Yet, to her surprise, he seed entirely oblivious to who she was.

An amusing idea suddenly sparked in her mind, and the corners of her lips curled into a faint smile.

Just as she began to sche, the young man reached her side.

"Miss, are you okay?" he asked again, crouching down and waving his hand lightly in front of her face. His concerned gaze flicked briefly to the old man nearby.

Then, as if snapping out of a daze, she gasped dramatically.

"Ah! Please help ! My grandfather… he's dying!" Her voice trembled as she clutched at the young man's arm and her eyes full of urgency.

The old man let out a silent sigh internally and extended his divine sense toward the young man.

What he saw amazed him.

Just like the woman, he noticed the Dao of Darkness and Light swirling around the young man, intertwining like fairy spirits.

"Were you both attacked by devil practitioners?" the young man asked in a serious tone.

Without waiting for an answer, he placed his hand near the old man's body, trying to check his condition.

The old man's eyes flickered with surprise.

The young man's hand wasn't shielded by spiritual energy.

For most individuals, direct contact with devil energy was dangerous. The devil energy could corrupt one's spiritual energy, potentially leading to the formation of inner demons if left unchecked.

While he was surprised by the dao of darkness and light swirling around the young man. He speculated that the young man possessed a unique constitution—one connected to both Daos.

Even if the madam wasn't a devil practitioner, she was still a Transcend Tribulation Realm cultivator. Her control over the Dao of Darkness alone was formidable enough to make this attempt reckless, especially for soone still at the Dao Comprehension Realm.

While he was surprised by the dao of darkness and light swirling around the young man. He speculated that the young man possessed a unique constitution—one connected to both Daos.

Light and darkness.

However, the old man assud the young man had poor control over his constitution. After all, no one is stupid enough to wander the world with dao of darkness surrounding his body.

Compared to the old man, the woman didn't panic at all.

Instead, she had a flustered expression, hastily responding, "Y-Yes! We were attacked on our way to this lower realm. A group of devil practitioners ambushed us and robbed us of everything we had. When they tried to take with them, my grandfather couldn't bear it and fought back."

Her voice quivered as she continued, her eyes glistening with fake tears. "He managed to defeat so of their lackeys, but their leader was far too powerful. Grandpa was critically injured. We barely escaped using a teleportation talisman."

By the end of her story, she was softly sobbing, wiping her tears with delicate hands. Then, when the young man wasn't looking, she shot a sharp glare at the old man.

"Cough! Cough!" The old man got the ssage instantly. He began coughing violently, a trickle of blood escaping from the corner of his lips.

It was effortless for the old man to fake his condition. There was no way a cultivator at the Dao Comprehension Realm could see through his true state.

"Miss, your grandpa's condition is worsening. If we don't treat him soon, he'll die," the young man said, withdrawing his hand and turning to the woman with a grave expression.

Noticing the young man being unaffected by the devil energy, the old man was surprised.

anwhile, the woman's face shifted to shock.

"Grandpa…!" she muttered, her voice trembling as tears welled in her eyes.

"Don't worry, Miss. I can save your grandfather, but could we move to a different location?" the young man said earnestly, his tone gentle yet firm.

"Really? You can save him?" she asked, her teary eyes glimring with hope.

He gave a confident nod, a reassuring smile lighting up his face. After a brief hesitation, the young woman's expression hardened.

With hope in her eyes, she said firmly, "Please, save my grandpa."

Without wasting ti, he used his spiritual energy to lift the old man, carrying him effortlessly.

As they walked out of the alley, the young man decided to introduce himself. "I am Xiao Chen, the chief disciple of the Peerless Heaven Sword Sect. May I know your na, Miss?"

Caught off guard for a mont, the young woman hesitated briefly before answering, "Y-Yu Rui, a rogue cultivator."

However, the woman imdiately regretted answering him. 'Oh no! Why did I give him my real na?!'

Flustered, she kept her composure and quietly observed him, trying to see his reaction. Yet, to her disappointnt, Xiao Chen's expression remained the sa, as if her na ant nothing to him.

At the sa ti, Xiao Chen was inwardly puzzled. 'Hm, Using her real na?'

'Is she testing ? But why?' He thought while maintaining a stone face.

Just then, Rongi, who had been silent until now, spoke in an angry tone after hearing her na. 'Xiao Chen, don't believe that woman!'

When Rongi first saw the woman, she had rely thought her appearance was similar.

However, after hearing her na, she was certain—it was definitely Yu Rui!

'She's actually the principal of the Three Thousand Dao Academy. I'm not sure why she's here, but—'

'I know,' Xiao Chen interrupted her through voice transmission, his tone asured but firm.

'Yeah! She's a very clever and dangerous woman. In my current state, I can't protect you if—wait, what did you just say?!'

'I said I already know who she is.'

'She's here to recruit students for the academy,' Xiao Chen replied while being speechless.

Of course, he knew that wasn't the case.

To be honest, if he hadn't learned about the rulers of heaven and the Crimson Fatty's identity from the system, he might have believed that explanation himself.

But now, things were much clearer.

Yu Rui wasn't here to recruit students.

She was likely searching for the Crimson Fatty. However, her divination was imperfect; it could only lead her to Lin Tao, the current owner of the Demonic Dao Bones.

The Demonic Dao Bones originally belonged to the Crimson Fatty, who was the Ruler of Physiques and Bloodlines.

From her actions, it beca clear to Xiao Chen—Yu Rui was probably the destiny heroine for Crimson Fatty.
