After a hot night together, Xiao Chen woke up early in the morning, quickly dressing himself.

Today was the day Lin Tao was destined to et with Yu Rui, the principal of the Three Thousand Dao Academy, and Xiao Chen had no intention of letting Lin Tao to et her.

He planned to steal the opportunity and et the principal instead of Lin Tao

As Xiao Chen walked through the bustling streets of Heavenly Lotus City, His appearance and his attire stood out, drawing curious glances from the people around him.

Rongi couldn't help but be curious about where they were going.

She asked him through a voice transmission, asking, 'Where are we going?'

Xiao Chen responded with a teasing smile, 'You'll find out when we get there,' his tone playful yet mysterious.

His words only made her more curious, but she refrained from pressing him further, instead decided to find out when they arrived at their destination.

As they continued through the streets, the young man's presence seed to stir up whispers from the onlookers.

A small group of people stood off to the side, watching him with interest.

"Who is that young man?" one of them asked, stunned by his appearance.

"Just look at his appearance! He's definitely a chief disciple from one of the major forces in the region," another voice chid in.

"See the sword token hanging from his waist? He must be from the Peerless Heaven Sword Sect," a third person noted.

A fourth person spoke up, "I've heard of that sect. It's one of the major powers of the Azure Jade Continent."

"But... who is he? I've never heard anything about him in the rumors."

"True," the second person responded thoughtfully, "I've only heard about their saintess, but never about this guy."

The murmurs of the crowd only grew, though Xiao Chen paid them no mind, walking ahead with a slight smile on his lips.

In a sparsely crowded alley, a group of n had gathered around a young woman who knelt beside an old man lying on the ground.

The woman's appearance was pitiful, to say the least.

her face was covered with dirt, Her clothes were torn, hanging in tatters.

She had a sorrowful expression on her face, looking at the old man. His frail body lay motionless, enveloped in swirling devil energy that seed to drain the very life from him.

His clothes were equally tattered, and his face was gaunt, covered in deep wrinkles.

The group of n were clearly more interested in the woman than the old man. They circled around her with predatory gazes. They had no intention of helping the sick old man.

These two were the cause of the mysterious disappearances over the past four days. The n had no idea they were walking toward their own doom. The fact that all who had co before them vanished ant that they, too, would soon et a tragic end, just as the others had.

Just then, the woman, who initially had a pitiful face, suddenly changed her expression upon noticing the lustful gazes of the n around her.

"Get lost, trash!" she spat, her voice fillled with anger.

With a wave of her hand, a surge of devil energy erged, swallowing the group whole and leaving no trace of their existence.

Watching this, an old man struggled to his feet, his face weary and full of exhaustion.

"Madam, don't you think it's ti we—"

"Quiet," the woman snapped, cutting him off sharply. Her devil energy surged again, forcing the old man to lie back down. Her gaze shifted, locking onto a figure in the distance.

'Hmm? Is he ignoring us?' she wondered as she observed a young man walking past the alley after taking a look at her.

A frustrated frown appeared on her face. 'What a cursed generation!' she thought bitterly and her thoughts filled with doubt.

'Was my divination wrong? Should I have gone to that other woman instead?' she mused, her expression clouded with uncertainty.

But she shook her head, dismissing the idea. 'No, I can't risk it. It would be far too dangerous if she noticed sothing'

Her true intentions were far from ordinary, and certainly not as simple as recruiting a disciple.

After all, even if soone offered help, it was futile—no one in the Peach Blossom Realm could eliminate the devil energy afflicting the old man.

In the rare instances when soone wanted to help them, she would erase their mories without hesitation and change the location.

Her goal was sothing entirely different.

According to her divination, 'that man' should be sowhere within the city. If her guess was correct, he should have already sensed the devil energy she had been releasing deliberately over the past few days.

Yet, there had been no sign of him.

'Does he have no intention of eting ?' she thought silently, a bitter smile tugging at her lips.

'It's understandable if he's suspicious. Most devil practitioners are fools, after all.' This made her amused, though it didn't ease her frustration.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she sensed soone approaching again. Using her divine sense, she recognized the figure—it was the sa young man who had casually walked past the alley earlier.

However, this ti, he was holding a female dress in his hands. Her eyes widened slightly as realization dawned on her. He had gone to buy clothing for her after noticing the sorry state of her tattered attire!

But she focused her divine sense on him more, sothing far more shocking caught her attention.

Through her divine sense, she observed the Dao of Darkness and Light intertwining around the young man in perfect harmony.

Such a balance was rare and could be done by only a handful of extrely talented individuals. Among those she knew, 'that man' was one of the few capable of wielding these opposing forces so effortlessly.

And She had wanted to find 'that man' through her divination!

'Could it really be him?' she wondered, her heart stirring with anticipation.
